Can’t thank you enough Right Scoop! I don’t get CNN in my TV package, and except for the debate tonight don’t want it. I pay extra to get Fox News up here (in Canada) which I couldn’t do without!

The network to watch in Canada is Sun Network. It is even available live on the internet. Liberals like to call it Fox North.

Being from Alberta [ home of the oil sands ] I like Ezra Levant’s stand on Ethical Oil, he also was brave enough to show the cartoons of mohamed, to show what all the fuss was about. Lately he has been attacking the CBC.

Geee,,,,as much as I’d like to watch,,,,,ok no I don’t want to watch. Football is on,,,,,and American Chopper has that 3-wheeled bike being made by Paul Jr.

Besides none of the current candidates inspire me. They just don’t. And that is 2-3 hours I can’t get back.

Newt has been singing the modernization song for as long as he’s been selling books. God love him, and I like his ideas as much as anybody, he is the old guard and will always be a big govt. guy (as long as big govt. is OK since GDP is growing at some arbitrary rate which makes it OK to expand spending, right?). He even alluded to this tonight when he talked about increased revenues to the feds if unemployment hits 4%.

As far as cutting “waste”, he is talking about eliminating the “precious” redundant federal workforce (which has been growing by legions in recent years) by having machines do what they are designed to do: replace worthless employees at significantly lower cost. Sounds good until you realize that these guys are mostly union govt. workers and they all vote, and are told how to vote! I’m all for it, but is Newt, when firing all those govt. workers means one term?

Good luck Newt! An expanding economy is a great idea, and I believe your administration could get it done, and quick! I just don’t see the “Real Change” that you have written about coming to Washington under your admin. And that’s what the TEA Party is talking about.

Sorry, Newt fans. (I’m one in principal, just not in the real world.)

Bachman was DISGRACEFUL in insinuating corruption of Perry by a drug company. Is this the sleazy way we are behaving and debating each other?

I bet I could go back and find some firm or interest that may or may not have contributed to Michele Bachman.

      Do it already.

forget Perry. algore supporter, hilarycare cheer leader, ex-democrat and the whole SS and HPV thing? he’s doomed. if nominated 0bambi will exploit those weaknesses. i’d prefer Mitt and Bachman team up and get rid of him once and for all and replace Perry for Paul Ryan or Marco Rubio or a true tea party conservative. plus Ron Paul called Perry out on the whole jobs thing in TX. a good portion went to creating gubmint jobs.. not a good look.

    • Anonymous

Usually, you find the evidence first, and then make the case. In your case, you get mad first, throw out accusations, which you said Bachman did to your boy, that made you so angry, and then call a woman a C&NT. Gosh, you should be given more attention; you deserve it.

Paul spouts off with Al Qaeda talking points. Al Qaeda likes useful idiots like Paul to propagandize to Americans. What Al Qaeda says to dumb Westerners about those terrible American occupiers IS NOT what they say to their adherents. 1400 year old texts and tenanst of the Koran and Hadiths are the warp and weave of jihadist, theocratic supremacism of Islam. And that has absolutely nothing to do with American foreign policy. It predates American foreign policy by 1200 years. This trope of American foreign policy is meant for Western consumption and is the excuse and the icing on the jihadist cake. But it is not the motivating factor for Muslim jihadist actions in the world.

Paul … there’s no fool like an old fool… you’ve learned nothing and forgotten everything about 911. And Gingrich and Santorum should call him out on it.

You are ignorant. You say they are supremists – but then you fail to understand how that translates into why the bombing occured. Our presence was desecrating their land, they didn’t want us there – we wouldn’t leave. They retaliated. 911 101.

If someone walks into your home, & shits on your couch, what are you going to do when they refuse to leave?

You have much to learn if you think someone bombed us because we’re ‘free’.

      • KenInMontana

Considering that US Troops along with the rest of the coalition were there at the request of the Saudi government and that great pains were taken to station all non Arabic troops as far as possible from Mecca and Medina both, add to that the fact that Osama Bin Laden was officially exiled from Saudi Arabia, we weren’t desecrating anything.

        • Keith Earns

Before Desert Storm Osama Bin Laden offered his support to Saudi Arabia & America got involved in their affairs, Osama bin Laden was offended that infidels were too close to mecca & were descrating their holy land. He spoke negatively of this decision & that’s why he was exiled.

Our presence caused him to be exiled.

Our foreign policy provoked the attacks.

sugar coat it all you want – people don’t just go “HEY LOOK AT THOSE GUYS THEYRE FREE! LETS KILL THEM!!!!”

            • Keith Earns

Well there you go, you’re obviously biased and have something against muslims. You must assume that all muslims have a hive mind which is anti-american in essence. You don’t understand that people are allowed to practice their religion freely on their own property. If I were anti-christian I would be offended if someone built a church across the street from my house, but I’m not & I understand they have the liberty to do so.

Should we start throwing them in gas chambers to end “terrorism”?

              • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Do you bother to understand the statement at all, or do you just so believe in the pc love and tolerance that is supposidly what Islam is? Do you even understand what I said? In your previous statement, you said Osama claimed to be offended that infidels were desecrating their holy land. Mine was a comment to osama’s comment- I am offended that Islam has built the dome of the rock all over Judaism’s HOLIEST sight at the Temple mount. WHERE in that did you get the idea that I am all for gas chambers? Since when does being offended equate mudering the offendee? Oh yeah, that would be islam. I don’t have something against Muslims- I have something against Islam. I pray for muslims, so don’t go presuming about someone you have no idea about.

Bin Laden’s offer to defend Saudi territory was rebuffed by the government for a couple of reasons, one they did not want a bunch of heavily armed foreign religious fanatics in their country especially considering the threat they would be to the royal family. Secondly they wanted help from someone that was capable of destroying Saddam’s army. He was exiled because he disrespected the King pure and simple, our presence had nothing to do with his inability to hold his tongue, that is just the way Monarchies roll.

            • Keith Earns

So they didn’t want Bin Ladens

              >heavily armed
              >foreign
              >religious fanatics

              near Mecca.

              So they went with americas
              >heavily armed
              >foreign
              >christian, catholics, atheists, etc – that don’t understand islam.

              NEAR MECCA.

              what…

Read Koran or Islamic literature much? Our institutions in the West aren’t revolved around a theocratic state. Muslim nations can’t separate themselves from theocratic rule. This is why they despise us. We are progressive; they are regressive. Jealousy, and not understanding why the West can obtain a better living standard, when we function and thrive without Allah, makes Muslims furious. They are a weak, dependent culture. Everything they have is because of the West. Without our technology, they would still be living in tents and riding camels, not carting around in the best automobiles the West has to offer. Lol! You Paul nuts can be easily dissected.

            • Keith Earns

So are you saying we’re in a religious war? How is occupying their country given the circumstances you just mentioned productive?

Even then – your false premise that Islam dispises america is absurd & blatant war/religious propaganda.

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

So what was mohummad’s excuse when he waged jiahad on Arabia? What was Islam’s excuse when wageed jiahad and conquered most of what was once the Roman Empire? Israel? Spain? What was their excuse in Chechnya? Indonesia? etc. etc. etc. You have much to learn if you think someone bombed us because we’ve got some military bases around the world… I agree, not all those countries where we have bases want us there. Japan isn’t thrilled either, but I haven’t seen them hijacking any airplanes lately.

          • Keith Earns

I don’t see why Japan is relevant to this dicussion apart from being an excuse for trying to expand our empire. America’s “presence” was clearly oberved in hiroshima… Others in this conversation are saying that we are disliked in the middle east due to their religious beliefs & jealousy, so how is staying there making them any less hostile towards america? By killing them we are only making terrorists die matyrs in an endless cycle of violence. We’re spending trillions on a war that was started with a few plane tickets and a 50 cent box cutter. Osama bin laden has succeeded in nearly crippling our economy. This took al qaeda less than 10,000 dollars to start, and its taking us over 10 trillion to finish. We are biting osama bin ladens bait, and it’s showing as China is becoming one of the worlds leading economies over the next 5-10 years. Let these other candidate continue to invoke fear in you that a country that can’t afford its own oil is going to get ahold of a nuclear weapon – that they can’t even deliver because they don’t have an air force.

The Japan comment was brought up… and I was responding to it. You have, however, given yourself away with that “expanding our empire” nonsense. Look up what real empire is, instead of relying on Ron Paul, Noam Chompsky shibboleths… then we can talk.

Regarding Hiroshima…Here’s a video explaining, for the umpteenth time, the justification, smashing the post-modern narrative of the left and the Paulites.

Your comment… “We are biting osama bin ladens bait, and it’s showing as China is becoming one of the worlds leading economies over the next 5-10 years. ” Mismanagement of the economy is the culprit, from big spender Bush, to hyper spender crypto socialist Obama. Nothing to do with Bin Laden.

Your comment… “We’re spending trillions on a war that was started with a few plane tickets and a 50 cent box cutter.” Which war are you referring to? The mis-named “War on Terror”, or the war Islam has declared on the West, which the West is in denial of. It was not started by a 50 cent box cutter, it was started by the 1400 year old theocratic, supremacist, totalitarian dictates of the Koran. We had a respite since 1683 (look that up if you you are unsure) but it has now resumed despite of our denial.

If you are referring to Iran (not affording its own oil)… yes… they are working on a Nuclear weapon, (Paulites are out to lunch on this and so many other things) Pakistan already has one… and yes proliferation is a danger. And yes… Iran does have an air force, yes old but not so rickety, in part supplied by China and the Soviets and diligently maintained.

Read Koran, or Islam literature much, Keith? Global dominance, and staying cooped up in the 6th century is Islam’s goal. You and Ron kiss ass and think everything will be peachy. The rest of us our going to work on ascending mankind into the future, not the despicable past. Muslims haven’t created anything since Algebra. Quit being a kiss ass.

        • Keith Earns

Steven you are generalizing muslims, & statements like you just made are likely the reason this started to begin with. People amongst almost all religious/nonreligious backgrounds have commited terrible crimes against humanity – to blame a religion as the cause is a textbook example of prejudice. Quit your religious intolerance.

    • Anonymous

AQ does have a 100 yr plan to turn the world into a global caliphate. Don’t think they’ll ever achieve that but thats their goal. The US being in the middle east just gives them a scapegoat to lay the blame on for all the lefties and those that believe the only reason we were attacked is because we were in the middle east.

      • Anonymous

Exactly! Nutjobs won’t even say they committed a crime just to commit one. Even the most unintelligent, ridiculous idiot can come up with a reason why they did something stupid. If we weren’t over there, they would say the reason why they murder us is because we are a satanic Western culture that has lost our way with god. Either way, when you are a religious wanker who wants to murder, you will murder, regardless of a motive. You will just find a motive after you have committed an atrocity. Ron Paul is a complete boob when it comes to foreign policy. If he supplies the Austrian economics 101 book, I will give him an Islamic 101 book.

Well, I hope this debate turns out better than those other media manipulated, three ring circus, pre-game puppets shows, they had..

The media played those Republican Presidential wannabe’s, like a violin.. and they just went along with it, like the puppets they are.. The only person who looked Presidential, was Gov. Palin, as she plays the media, the media does not play her..

While everyone else is making a fool of themselves as a puppet, and a pregame puppet show, manipulated by the media.. Gov. Palin was making historic Presidential Speeches, like this one at the Iowa Tea Party Rally.

and by the way.. President Bush, as Patriotic American as he was.. was just as financially and fiscally incompetent, as Obama is now, just to a lessor degree.. that one’s for these liberal biased censorship rightscoop morons, who can’t handle the truth..

Well Sarah Palin won this debate also and shes not even declared as of yet nor was she there. She knocked it out of the ball park on Greta and hit Perry over the head for Crony Capatilism and gave good points to Newt and Newt talked about her fantastic speech in Iowa…She also thanked the few candidates who copied her crony capitilism speech and are acting on it…Madam President you play three deminsional chess to all of there checkers!

Sorry Rick, Newt was the clear winner in this one. Bachmann gave you a run for your money. What you should say instead of getting flustered? The kids of immigrants aren’t the criminals, they are the victims and they deserve a chance to become Americans if they want it, if they don’t, we don’t play. Secondly, it is in state tuition. Your kids can get it too Michelle, if they move to our state and live there for only one year. I require 3 years, graduation from a Texas school and a commitment to America for these kids.

I will vote for anyone over Obama in the general but Romney and Bachman should be ashamed of themselves for their attacks on perry over his social security comments and the others on the HPV executive order attacks tonight. I was at the Texas state Capitol the morning when the members heard about Perry’s Hpv executive order and the R members were livid and on the phone with the Gov and his staff. My impression was that they were livid more so on his executive order than the benefits of the Hpv vaccine itself. After all many our Drs recommend this vaccine now even for boys. The members correctly reminded the Gov that he did not have that power under our State constitution. The gov listened and backed off. I believe Gov Perry learned his lesson about separation of powers. That is something I am not sure our current President ever will learn and that is a serious concern of mine as an attorney. Now i will be the first to admit that there is no question that the fact that governor Perry’s former chief of staff was a Merck lobbyist looks bad and smacked of crony Capitalism. Maybe it was but that is certainly not the style of the former chief of staff in his lobby career and certainly would not be helpful in his lobby practice over the long haul. I have never asked either the governor or his wife about the hpv decision but in my observations after chatting with them over the years I believe it is possible that as one of the other commentators observed that it was a strongly held belief of the governors wife based upon her Health care work not campaign contributions or helping a friend out( who at the time didn’t need this to help his business anyway) The gov admitted it was a mistake let’s move on to the serious problems of the day. I am sure everyone of the republican primary candidates have made similar mistakes. The key is whether they have learned anything from them. I believe gov Romney still believes that romneycare wasn’t a mistake. What has he learned?

perry was a disaster. the man does not know how to debate. 0bambi will tear him to shreds. im not fan of romney, but he seems like he can eat 0bambis lunch. michelle and paul can too but they will not be nominated.

You must have a secret video that shows Obama as a great debater. From what I’ve seen and heard, that dude can’t form a sentence without a teleprompter. Let’s get over this Obama is a “well spoken” debater nonsense.

        • Anonymous

Thank YOU for saying that. I totally agree.

Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum were the best…but between Perry and Romney, Mitt looked better, but has to keep this up for the next few months. This race is begging for Palin to get in and steal Iowa and battle for SC with Perry to have the momentum going into FL. Constitution Day is this weekend…wouldn’t it be a great weekend if she makes some sort of indication? I am praying for it.

I don’t trust Bachmann, she is out there taking credit for everything to hide the fact that she has ZERO executive experience. She has taken government welfare in her private life and has requested millions in pork. What happens if Mitt or Rick get into office and they get hammered in the press about trying to repeal Obamacare, reform entitlements and the tax code? Will they go soft and say that they didn’t have the support of the American people and sell us out? I can see it happening.

I can’t stand his “look” anytime and it was a real chore to ignore him while enjoying an otherwise good debate.

I thought it was a good debate. It moved fast once they got past the opening introduction. Wolf Blitzer proved he’s just as dense as he was when he tanked at Jeopardy. Don’t ask questioners to identify themselves when it’s obvious they can’t hear you, Wolf. We don’t care what their name is, anyway, just ask the question.

The audience was the best part. Huntsman was just terrible. From start to finish he was horrible. Smarmy doesn’t even come close to describing how…smarmy he acted. He’s got some agenda for being in this race and it ain’t to win.

Herman Cain didn’t do too badly but he’s just in way over his head. Santorum is just goofy looking. That’s all I kept thinking. He just looks goofy. Newt did OK. Bachmann is best on Obamacare but too light weight on everything else. Romney is Romney. Romney doesn’t have a sincere bone in his body and he proves that every time he opens his mouth.

Perry was awful. I’ve gotten past his accent, but I’m having a hard time with his slowness. He doesn’t seem to be able to think on his feet at all. The grasping for words. Long pauses. He had some good moments but he had far more when he just didn’t seem to know what to say. It was almost like listening to Obama. You could see the wheels turning as he was trying to figure out what to say. He seems like a gregarious guy so it’s surprising to see him have so much trouble. They guy needs to relax.
