I think I’ll learn more watching American Pickers and Pawn Stars. I’d vote for Chumlee over Romney.

      What a suck-up!

Albeit, a classy one with manners and enthusiasm, who enjoys pleasant company.

      Wait a second! Now I’m a suck-up! See what you’ve done! Quarantine!

      :-D

    • Is_Sense_Common

I’m SO with you Brian! I can’t imagine suffering thru debates w/o my peeps here.

    • http://twitter.com/113KriEger 13Krieger

OK. Finnally watch the entire debate…..Hands down….NEWT IS THE MAN!!! Gingrich won this one and left all the others in the dust! He ripped Juan Williams a new one in full public view and received a standing ovation in the process. I was actually shouting and clapping and hollering ”Hell Yeah!” as he was saying it.

Maybe this is the pivot point where conservatives wake up from the partician nik picking and finally realize why they are here and get behind one candidate and I think Newt proved he is the right man, the right plan, and the right person to destroy that Obamaination in the White House.

Gingrich is moving to seal the deal with Conservatives and if they don’t start to move to him now then it is for sure the USA will have a Progressive or a Marxist for the next four years. It’s time to consolidate and take the fight as a single strong voice and Newt Gingrich demonstrated last night that his is that voice to take up the Conservative banner and defeat the Progressive enemies of the nation.

I am ”fired up” now because my Conservative principles are re-energized because of Newt’s words and it is my hope that all Conservatives are too! He just jumped up to the top spot for me and all I have to say is…..

GO NEWT GO!!!!! Newt Gingrich for President in 2012

  • Anonymous

Hopefully, they will give them all equal time, since we’re down to 5.

    • Anonymous

Really 4 since I really don’t count Paul. What a waste of space.

      • Anonymous

Uh oh…. now you’ve done it, the Paulbots will come out in droves. Actually, the more Paul speaks, the more he reminds me of a “grumpy old man” who hasn’t accomplished a thing in all of his years in congress.

At first I couldn’t understand how he could get so much support, but then again look at the younger generation these days. Whew hoo….. legalize drugs and everything else! Sadly they’re old enough (but not informed enough) to vote. That’s how we ended up with the current POTUS.

        • http://twitter.com/Claudss107 claudio villani

Lets try making an intelligent point if you’re going to defend your position.

        • Jennifer Ellis

Really? Yeah, you’re right. The younger generation is all about drugs, as opposed to any other decade. The only reason someone would vote for Ron Paul is because they want to waste away on drugs all day, every day. It could have absolutely nothing to do with any other position he holds.

I’m not a young person, and I used to be a passionate Republican conservative. Then I learned how to understand the constitution, and I learned the value of individual liberties. As more years progressed, I realized that the Republican conservative ideology was increasingly more about oppressive laws than about freedom. I’d rather have a libertarian in office any day than a person who thinks that the government needs to make moral decisions for its citizens.

But you’re right, I’m uniformed and young. And as someone in the medical field, I especially appreciate your informed comment about someone who has never accomplished a thing. I’m sure other active military (such as my husband) agree with you as well.

Stop regurgitating things you hear propaganda-spewing talking heads say and research, analyze, and think for yourself.

God I hope one day there is a test you have to take before you can vote!!

          Waste of space…

The Discovery Channel (PBS, TLC, NATGEO, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX.) all work for the same people who instruct the media to continually tell you and I JFK insisted in riding in a convertible, golly gee we cannot ask JFK can we. They also state in their “show Secrets of the Secret Service” the reason why agents were called away from riding on the back of his limo was so THE PEOPLE COULD GET A BETTER LOOK AT JFK it had nothing to do with someone(s) getting off a clear shot of 1, 2 or 3…

Recently people including former IRS agents have been found NOT GUILTY of either failing to file or not paying income taxes. How can this be? No juries asked to see the law before!! They found “NO LAW” and a 100 year scam!!! See Aaron Russo’s America: Freedom to Fascism

Isn’t there a libertarian wingnut site you can inhabit? This place is for conservatives who can actually think for themselves.

      • Anonymous

Probably, but where’s the fun in that?

        • Anonymous

Thought so. Disrupt the website. You’re so mature.

      • Jennifer Ellis

I’m curious about the definition of “libertarian wingnut” and why said class cannot think for themselves. With such an outstanding intelligence, as a conservative, I’d love to hear your reasoning.

I’d also like to know why a news source that claims to be “fair and balanced” has people like you claiming that this is a place for conservatives.

    • poljunkie

Would you rather they just cancel everything and give the nomination to Romney now? Or should they try to fight when they can?

      • http://twitter.com/cfallon57 Cheryl Fallon

Romney is STILL better than four more years with Barack and Michelle!

      • Anonymous

                • Anonymous

The question was who has better chances of winning the nomination/presidency. Ron Paul has a better chance than Cain, as anybody can plainly see.

You’re for Rights-to-work? Sounds to me as a progressive liberal idea. Who shall pay for the “right” to have job? The state?

      • Anonymous

I don’t think you understand what “right-to-work” laws are about.

“Right-to-work” laws are statutes enforced in twenty-two U.S. states, mostly in the southern or western U.S., allowed under provisions of the federal Taft–Hartley Act, which prohibit agreements between labor unions and employers that make membership, payment of union dues, or fees a condition of employment, either before or after hiring, which would require the workplace to be a closed shop.

Yes, Perry just stopped Romney and Santorum from monopolizing the debate and told them it was up to the states if they wanted to let felons who had served their time vote.

For whatever reason Newt can't get under his skin but the Ricks certainly do.

Romney is the gift that keeps on giving to Obama.

  • Anonymous

Totally predictable Fox News; The whole framework of the debate is to promote Mitt Romney, or any of the candidates other than Mr Paul. Most people can’t see past this facade. People choose style over substance, especially when it is promoted by moderators that pose as “objective”.

This is just a pro Romney escapade. The media will not allow Mr Paul to be represented in the context of his own views, record, and self explained positions.

    • Anonymous

Thank God for that. Ignore the old fool

      • Anonymous

You would think that they should let Paul represent his “foolish” ideas, and he would eliminate himself, right? Strangely, his support only continues to grow though. How can that be?

        • Anonymous

Right he’s blowing em out in SC

          • Anonymous

Well, his poll numbers in SC have gone up at a greater rate than anybody else’s since New Hampshire…

            • Anonymous

gee, so now you want to use numbers that are relative as opposed to actual. I would hav expected nothing less.

              • Jennifer Ellis

It’s kind of amusing how you use the same numbers you later deny as having any weight. Unless you have evidence to support what you distinguish as being factual (or as you say, actual) numbers as opposed to relative.

UH OH, NEWT is startig to rip OFF some heads.

Romney is kind of quiet and may get his clock cleaned tonight.

HE could be toast IF South Carolina steps up and makes this race more fun and vote in NEWT, RICK, RICK, any order you want top 3.

    He may be scared.

If he did not have the look and empty suit, he would not have a chance even with all the money in OBAMA PROG’s bank account to support him.

I almost said in the world, but that is OBUMMER. He is printing out some POCKET billions as we debate his spending.
Funny how that works , huh?

    • cabensg

Gingrich/Perry the winning ticket and in four years we’d still have a Republican to clean the clock of whatever miscreant the Democrats put forward. Four years of tutelage by Gingrich and Perry would mop the floor with em.

Is Ron Paul actually back pedaling on reducing the budget for defense? Spend less abroad and more in the US? I would rather defend myself with missile defense placed in Europe, I’m not afraid of the people wanting to attack me in South Carolina!

Paul is correct three strike drugs laws = life in prison.

Murder someone out in 15-20 years maybe less.

I’d rather see murderers and rapist get life not drug addicts frying their brains who will probably OD.

    • Trust1TG

Drugged up people rape, kill, steal and commit manslaughter on the roads. It’s not just a private person doing drugs, it’s usually a compound (2-3 counts) crime.

      • Jennifer Ellis

Hm, that’s interesting. I’d like to see your statistics, specifically which drugs you are referring to. And I certainly hope that you don’t consume alcohol, because (I hate to break it to you), that is also a drug. One that probably leads to more violence (and all of the above you mentioned) than any other drug in this country.

These candadites (other than Mr Paul) are all big central government people. They actually believe that ‘they’ can solve the problems with the right ‘program’. They can’t do that. Mr Paul is the only one that has the wisdom to say that he ‘can’t solve the problems’, but return to the rule of law, and give people the reality of “honest weights and measures”, and the concept of individual accountability.

    • Anonymous

Yep, the party hack zombies were in full force last night.

    • Anonymous

The best part was when the audience full of Christian conservatives booed the Golden Rule. Fantastic!

The “Golden Rule” has been attributed to Jesus of Nazareth: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them” (Matthew 7:12, see also Luke 6:31). The common English phrasing is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. A similar form appeared in a Catholic catechism around 1567 (certainly in the reprint of 1583).[43] The Golden Rule also has roots in the two old testament edicts, found in Leviticus 19:18 (“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself”; see also Great Commandment) and Leviticus 19:34 (“But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God”).

      BOO!!!

Yep…they just changed all of our freedoms with the bill they just signed. They don’t need to tell you what is going on and they can hold YOU an American citizen (if you are one) indefinitely!

    • Anonymous

I would go a step further and say that the rule of law should be applied to all, by those who proclaim that “these truths are self evident”. The rule of law, according to our founders, is a human right given to us by our creators. Therefor supporting indefinite detention for any human being is denying others their humanity.

  • Anonymous

Wow. Governor Romney would have signed NDAA as written. That alone should disqualify him from anybody voting for him.

This is regarding the radical Islamists that have been recruiting citizens here, which is, and has been a problem for many years. Anwar Awalalaki (sp?) and many others that traveled to middle east to train in terrorism and returned here and trained many others in mosques. IMHO, once you pledge allegience to to the radical Islam, you’ve given up your rights as a citizen. We used to call that treason!

Anwar al-Awlaki, was a special case, but not in the way you might think. He held dual citizenship, Yemeni and U.S. as his parents were both citizens of Yemen, he was born here but returned to Yemen with his parents when he was seven returning to the US after he turned eighteen, to attend college. From what I could find in US law, when he took up with Al-Qaeda and “took up arms” against the US, his citizenship here was forfeit.

If I had done it, MY money would be up I think 300% over inflation adjusted amount or was that Chili? They both were far better than our PYRAMID sceme US Govt spend the funds and puts in IOUs that are not looking so good now days.

See, I thought the big gov PROGs would show up….Rick S and Romney.
Rick S is trying to take on NEWT to go up polls.

Watch NEWT zing RICK at some point tonight or on Thursday.

Well bless his little liberal heart, could you believe Juan Williams trying so very hard to call Newt a raaaacisttt without ever mentioning the word? ‘Bout turned himself into a pretzel with the effort. Too bad Juan got schooled by Newt and ended up looking like the fool he is.

Newt’s answer was a thing of beauty. Nice standing ovation too!

Newt hit it outta the park………consistantly!!

    • Trust1TG

Newt just plain makes sense. He has good, big ideas. He’s like the guy who has been an auto mechanic all his life and can listen to a motor and tell what’s wrong. Then, because he’s been a teacher all these years, he can explain it to you so you can understand it.

Honestly (hush up Coulter, Drudge, Curl, et al) it really looks as though Newt is the man for this time in our nation’s history and need. We need help.

A man who has failed, paid a high price for his sins, but has truly repented, is a person who wants to do right from now on.

Each of the candidates has strengths:

Santorum is serious, sincere, trustworthy, gutsy, sharp, intelligent and a canny wise legislator. He is a fine Christian, husband and father and he knows and follows Biblical principles.

I even liked Romney tonight and after going back to listen to his last debate performance and his statements on Islam and terrorism at The Blaze, I believe he would do a good job as president (despite my reservations about Bain.)

Perry is a neat guy, has the right ideas and heart, but can’t communicate them as well. He’s getting better and better though. I think they like his message when he goes out and meets the voters face to face.

Dr. Paul is right about many things, especially the economy (and our at times stinking foreign policies in the Middle East), but watching his older videos (10-20 years ago when he was a strict libertarian) is scary)…I’m still not sure.

      • Anonymous

Yep. And I’ve been saying that it really isn’t a weak field if we have these fine candidates to choose from. For me Newt instilled the most confidence. I hope SC was paying attention tonight.

  • poljunkie

If this debate helps influence voters for SC, Perry still has a chance!

  • Anonymous

    Twiiter responses Romney = ^^EPIC FAIL!^^ LMAO!

Those were definitely not the Twitter responses Fox wanted to show.

      • Anonymous

And I don’t think Frank Lunz wanted to admit that Newt won the debate either!

  • cabensg

Hell!!! if it wasn’t for Newt being in this Romney wouldn’t even be able to talk. Every talking point he came up with except military was what Newt said in other debates. I wish I’d made a list to compare other than the one I have in my head. He even stole the idea of not having seperate PAC’s from Newt.

If they’d avoided questioning Gingrich any more than they did he could have sat down and been part of the audience. I really loved the way Newt handed that sniveling leftist Juan Williams his head. People actually stood up and applauded on that one.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Valdez/1806887704 Steven Valdez

Mitt Romney got taken down to his knees by Santorum and Newt!!!

Newt: took control of this debate, had the crowd on his side.

Santorum: had a very strong showing, taking it to Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.

Perry: has a good night (loved him taking it too Mitt Romney on the Tax returns question) but Newt and Santorum still stole the show.

Romney: had the worst performance and was flustered, Romney is a boring.

    Ron Paul: zoned-out.

Classic stereotyping. You should probably inform yourself of ALL of Ron Paul’s policies, rather than assume every person fits into your preconceived notion. Or should I say, “isn’t it time you signed off and made a burnt offering?”

Ignorance does not help anyone. Especially not someone who is trying to make a point.

          • K-Bob

Exactly. Hookahs are only for inner-circle Ronulans. There’s an earmark for ‘em.

Rick went after Newt and called him “CONGRESSMAN” twice.

SPEAKER is higher than Senator, I know this is about the “jr’ Partner remark NEWT made after IOWA.

Saying NEWT WANTED TO CREATE NEW ENTITLEMENT….WHAT ? the F&^%?

Does not work, makes you look petty.

Agree totally. Newt closed me tonight. Perry and Rick need to step aside.

  • cabensg

I love Perry but any rebound just splits the conservative vote. I wish Santorum would just drop out. Gingrich/Perry that’s the winning combination.

  • Anonymous

Who here doesn’t look forward to whatever Newt’s about to say in every debate? He rocked the house tonight and Romney was a stuttering bore.

  • Anonymous

I like Santorum and Perry and what they each stand for but I really believe they need to cast their lot with Newt and drop out before it’s too late.

    Newt rocked tonight.

  • Anonymous

I wish someone would call out Gingrich on the balanced budget thing. They spent less than they budgeted, but still went into debt. He makes it look like they really made a difference by spending less than they decided to.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Richard-Jones/100001374595021 Richard Jones

Man, Rick S is whinning like a little baby and does not realize NEWT just won?

    • Anonymous

Plus he keeps referring to Newt as Congressman instead of speaker. That would be like calling the president by his senator title. I think he’s doing it on purpose because he was a senator–and that makes him look petty in my opinion.

Here is the link debunking Ron Paul’s attempts to paint Conservatives for law and order as raaaaacist:
    http://takimag.com/article/revulsion_transference/page_2
+ Imprisonment rate for blacks on drug charges proportional to level of drug activity in the black population.
+ Whites are more likely to get the death penalty, at least in federal courts per the Clinton Justice Department.
+ Blacks are 22% of active-duty Army personnel, but they were only 9% of Army dead in the Iraq War.

    • Anonymous

      Great post and link. Thanks!

What a moron. Go to any county or city jail and see what the imprisonment rate for blacks on any charges is proportional to whites.

Okay, just because Newt took it to Juan Williams doesn’t make him the best candidate to represent us. No-one doubts his debating skills, they are perfectly evident. I am trying to guage his electability, with his other baggage. Let’s see how SC plays out.

    • Anonymous

You’ll never know someone’s ‘electability’ as long as there are three or four people splitting the conservative vote. Polls and pundits don’t really determine the electability of a candidate, voters do.

  • Anonymous

I watched it all last night.
The highlight for us was Newt’s takedown of Juan Williams on Food Stamps and kids working at a young age.
They all should be required to, rich, poor, or in-between.
Working while young builds character and responsibity.

    • Anonymous

I worked for my High School as a janitors’ assistant (after school and on weekends) and never found it degrading. It was a fine source of income for a young teen. It seems the kids today have changed their perspective on ‘a days work for a days wage’.

Time for Perry and Santorum to drop after SC Primary and let Newt have at Romney. Perry and Santorum have shown themselves as worthy potential conservative nominees but now is time to stop the Romney freight train before it’s too late. Paul demonstrated AGAIN that he is a fringe candidate.
