ABC News exposes memo from US embassy in Libya that detailed vital need for more security

Jake Tapper from ABC News has obtained a memo from the US embassy in Libya that he says “details all the ways” that they thought a security support team was vital for their operations, despite the State Dept. allowing the SST team to leave in August:

Shhh election day is almost here, sweep under the rug.

I’m reminded of a song, called Under the Rug:

Fox news gives a scathing report. CNN covers the administration coverup. Now ABC is in the game. It looks like the unimformed populace is going to have to be informed, whether they like it or not.

Whenever a major world event happens, many of the uninformed turn to CNN. Otherwise, they only watch ABC, CBS, and NBC. If CNN is covering this and now ABC joins in, how long will it take for the people to start asking the right questions of this administration.

Obama’s coverups can only be effective if the Lame Stream Media are complicit. Methinks, this is ‘just another crack in the wall’. Like the Berlin wall, little by little it will topple.

I hope this is on C-SPAN Wednesday. Frankly, all alphabet soup networks need to put that hearing on prime time for all Americans to see.

And Mitt, this one is for you. Get Allen West to speak at all of your Florida rallies and explain to Americans just what O’Bambi’s and Hitlary’s actions mean not only for embassy staff but for all Americans. Stop being a wimp and get out their and fight!

One thing I love about West’s speeches is his forceful delivery. You are never in doubt how he feels. I wish Romney would drop that pleading tone that he has in his speeches. He lost it about halfway through the debate and started talking with solid conviction, and I think that was a big reason why he won that debate.

        • Orangeone

Agreed.  And I hope he takes an important lesson from West, and debate coaching from West, before the foreign policy debate.

        • Laurel

I agree with you in theory since that is what I like but then I remember Romney, or any presidential candidate, has to be agreeable to a much broader amount of the populous. Running for president is far different than running for Congress since the jobs are quite different. In reality it all boils down to the right man and the right time for the right job as well.

My biggest concern, Nuke, is that Allen West is behind in the polls in his district…he needs our help badly.

    From the halls of Montezuma
    To the shores of Tripoli;
We will fight our country’s battles
In the air on land and sea.

Of course under Obama’s administration and with Clinton as Secretary of State all bets are off.

  • I went to the ABC News website trying to see if I could find a link to the actual memo. I was unable to do so, but I did find a news article about it with some more details here:

  • WordsFailMe

Looks like another Fast and Furious developing here. How high did it go? Who knew about it? When did they know about it and when can we get the documents and emails…

It would be for me a great day to see Secretary of State Clinton indicted by Congressman Issa’s committee on November 7, 2012

Jake Tapper seems to be the ONLY one out there in the LSM who is doing anything worthwhile. I commend him.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Obviously no one in obama’s miserable administration cared about our embassy personnel’s safety/security even after Ambassador Stevens’ asked for more protection against what he felt certain would be an attack on 9/11. How callous can an administration be???? Someone in that miserable administration should have to answer some very difficult questions about the murder of four American citizens. If that person is found to be derelict in their duty, punishment should be considered.

  • Laurel

I hope Tapper keeps up the heat since those men killed do deserve some justice.

  • bjohnson55

You can almost see the underlying pain the Lame Steam Media is in being forced to report the news without the Obama spin blessing from the Whitehouse.

  • denbren52

I applaud the one journalist at ABC, Jake Tapper. There must be one or two more out there with some ba11$.

  • wolfveryne

Just why was Stevens in Benghazi on 9/11 ? Questions and No answers .

  • sjmom

Drip, drip, drip the information is coming out but this also means Benghazi will continue to stay in the news. The longer it does the more people that will know and the more damage to Obama’s chances of another term.

  • deeme

Can you imagine how BIG this story would be had a Republican been the POTUS…?? I guess they can wait until Romney wins and then blame it on him..I mean that’s pretty much what they did, with him not even being President..

  • 12grace

obama directly has American blood on his hands.

    • Agree 100% So does the MSM for assisting in the coverup!

If this was still under Bush! Man the NTY would be running front page stories about it from now ’till election day! But it’s not, so they are suddenly blind! All the news that fits their agenda!

  • StandProudNow

This is what happens when people work under those who has allegiance to their
left wing ideology but don’t give a cr#p about people and their lives.

My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives so unnecessary.

  • But who AT the State Department denied the request for the Security Support Team from staying with the ambassador in Benghazi? You see, it always comes back to the State Department and “someone” denying that request for more security. Well, who WAS that “somebody” and how far up the chain of command did it go? Did Hillary Clinton make the final decision, or somebody else at the State Department? Once you find that out, you’ll find out who was responsible for this mess. I think Hillary is up to her neck in this and she may end up taking the fall for it. We can only hope.

Just more faked ignorance by this administration. Lies, lies and more lies. If you are a politician and a democrat, just murder someone and you will get away with it.
