Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam warns Trump that moving embassy to Jerusalem is an ACT OF WAR on Muslims

The Imam of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem is warning Trump that if he goes along with his plan to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv that he is risking an “act of war” on Arabs and Muslims.

From Arut Sheva:

Al-Aqsa imam and Supreme Muslim Council Head Sheikh Ekrima Sa’id Sabri attacked in his weekly sermon in Al-Aqsa US President-elect Donald Trump after Trump promised to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

According to Maor Tzemach’s translation of the Arab news site Palestine Information Center, in his sermon on Friday, Sabri said “moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem is a statement and a declaration of war against Arabs and Muslims.”

Tzemach is chairman of the ‘Lach Yerushalayim’ organization, which seeks to apply Israeli sovereignty in all parts of Jerusalem.

In Sabri’s opinion, Trump’s decision to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem is a equivalent to declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque, as I’m sure you’ll remember, is considered the third holiest site of Islam, but it’s based on an interpretation of the Koran that says what is called the “farthest mosque” is referring to that in Jerusalem. The Koran doesn’t say where that mosque is actually located. This is from the part where Muhammed falls asleep and is visited by an animal named “al-buroq” which has the head of a woman and the body of donkey-horse with wings. He mounts al-Buroq and they fly to the “farthest mosque” and then go up through the heavens to see all the prophets and go chill with Allah eventually.

And that’s why they’re angry that we’d move our embassy to Jerusalem.

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have introduced a bill to move the embassy already, and Trump has said he’s looking at property in Jerusalem for the new spot of the embassy. Meanwhile, Jordan and the Palestinians have already warned of dire consequences if the move happens.
