Allen West calls out the “duplicitous hypocrisy” of the left in new boxing attack ad

Allen West wants to know where Jesse Jackson is to speak up against this new attack ad against him? Actually he knows, he’s just pointing out the hypocrisy of the left that they can do whatever they want despite their calls of racism and so forth when Republicans make ads like this.

Also, I love his line about Medicare where he points out it’s going to fail anyway and he’s just trying to help save it.

“”Also, I love his line about Medicare where he points out it’s going to fail anyway and he’s just trying to help save it.””

Great example of how to turn the tables on these propagandists. Don’t take the bait – spot and question the assertion.

sDee: Have you seen this one? Great insight into how liberals view traditional values from a contemporary Berkeley professor. George Latkoff

      • las1

Words… can you give a brief synopsis. Is the insight how progressive/liberals falsely perceive themselves as moral based on their humanism and relativism. Words give a brief synopsis for me before I watch because I’m always skeptical especially from Berkley.

        • WordsFailMe

Interesting part where Geo blames the conservatives, or credits them, for allowing the liberals/socialists to take over the universities and colleges. Conservative siphoned off the best business and economics minds into 40 to 80 think tanks with exhorbitant salaries and unlimited support thereby leaving the university field wide open to be seized by liberals, communists and other “under performers.” (My words.)

Great insights on linguistics for dummies like me. “Framing and metaphorical thought”– This guy wrote the Little Blue Book.

I trade currencies at night and can watch these kinds of things. It’s a bit preachy and tedious but excellent to get insights into those “minds” who pull the levers.

“Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain” the wizard commanded.

At about 46:00 Geo attacks Frank Luntz and tries to demonstrate that Luntz is a propagandist and uses “Orwellian language”- this was a 2005 vid. This section fairly weel describe the technique Breitbart used to attack the left.-

thanks … I’ll put it to the top of the pile and get back to you.

          • Nukeman60

I got about halfway through it before I had to take a break (and get an aspirin). One thing that stood out for me was the difference he had between liberals and conservatives raising their kids. He defined the two ways as ‘strict father’ and ‘nurturing parent’. So, he uses the same technique that he claims conservatives use to get you to agree with their side (eg, Bush’s ‘tax relief’ term). Immediately, one thinks ‘bad’ of the term strict father (conservative view) and ‘good’ of the term nurturing parent (liberal view). A classic case of misdirection.

Liberals think this way. He asks how we can be both against abortion and for capital punishment. The reason? They are two different premises, I say. He tries to equate them as equal, presupposes it and then comes to conclusions from that. Typical lib argument – give a false pretense, and then argue about something based on the fact that false pretense is true.

I’ll finish the hour long lecture later, as insights into the liberal mind are important, but for now I must rest. It was hard enough not to reach into my computer and choke the living (blank) right out of him.

Thanks, btw, for the link. It’s a brave man to go into the lions den and a lucky one to actually survive.

I’m only ten minutes in and making notes. Its ALL liberal projection served up as academic truths. All the bogus object lesson examples are dog whistles to the liberal ears. FOX News (garners ha ha’s from the audience) Dan Quayle (ditto). It’s all self-serving fakery… and I’m only ten minutes in. I watching this for my buddy Words… but he owes me big time.

              • Nukeman60

After listening to the entire video, I’d say that Lakoff was using ‘framing’ and ‘metaphorical thought’ to guide his audience all the way through the lecture, save for the last ten minutes that seemed rambling and disjointed (apparently trying to get all his points in at the end).

Using Rules for Radicals and The Little Blue Book, progressives use these techniques to frame the argument to get the masses to believe that their ideas are acceptable. Lakoff described exactly what liberals do, but merely transposed the word ‘conservative’ in place of the word ‘liberal’. Interesting.

The most important thing I took away from this lecture was his use of the phrase ‘Orwellian Language’, which the left certainly uses whenever their argument is weakest. Now I know where to watch for it and be able to key my attacks accordingly.

            • WordsFailMe

Took me about 2.5 hrs to get through the 58 mins.

              • Nukeman60

I went back after the headache went away. I appreciate you linking this, as insights into their thinking is most helpful. I posted to las about my thoughts on it, so I won’t repeat them here, but it’s fascinating to see how the left uses Rules for Radicals and The Little Blue Book to achieve their goals.

To know your Enemy, you must become your Enemy

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.

It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperilled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperilled in every single battle.

Another excellent link. You’re on your game today, Words. 🙂

                • Good quote. I have his book around here someplace) 🙂

                • WordsFailMe

Funny how, even when all the words are instantly available on the inet, that dog-eared hardcopy still feels like an old friend.

              • las1

Words… you owe me big time. I’m fifteen minutes in, I is committed to the end. This guy has more dog whistles for the liberal mind than his tweed jacket has pockets to hold. Nukeman is absolutely right… Lackoff is definitely playing his liberal audience for suckers by “framing” and constructing “metaphorical thought” for them. Being liberals of course, they are clueless to being guided by a Lackoff’s loving hand. I’ll take Nukeman’s advice and remember lackoff’s junk technique when debating my opponents.

                • Nukeman60

One point I found interesting was when he said it was hard to find a Christian bookstore on campus at Berkley. These liberal acedemia are surrounded by their own kind in a progressive bubble, so it’s easy for them to be guided and misguided.

The term sheeple comes to mind.

              • las1

I’m at 19 minutes here. I’m wondering if there is enough slander for Dobson to bring action for the misreprestations if not out and out lies. What ever the case the question becomes… does this pass itself off as scholarly work in the academy? Evidently so. I have two monitors and I’m trying to decide which to drive my fist through and pull this phoney’s beard.

                • WordsFailMe

I don’t think there’s any doubt in the speakers mind that he is there to seduce and convert. I think that’s the reason for his failure to focus in on any single topic but rather continues to get small, repeatable positive responses and concurrences from the audience. (Notice the fatherly look of “approval” he gives when they respond…)

What’s that line that salespeople use? Ask the customer questions which can easily be answered “yes” without committing and over time you’ll get the “yes’ when you ask for commitment.

The presentation is the proof of the hypothesis. He’s got to be laughing his butt off at these feeding frenzy youth the way Saul Alinski must have done with vacuum-heads like Obama in Chicago.

(PS I’m almost afraid that, 23 minutes from now you’ll post something like, “Well..he kinda makes sense…” — roflmao!)

                • las1

In my liberal years (probably about for 15 minutes back in 1977) he would have made sense. It’s good to be reminded that this is a technique he is using instead of a theoretical framework he’s espousing . An exhibit “A” for indoctrinating the youth. Thanks for this.

                • Nukeman60

I’m finished When Lackoff says, “and it was sink or swim conservatism that was on that TV in Katrina”… that the shameless demagoguery and hate of the left really shines. There is no event so horrible and heartbreaking that a leftist like Lackoff won’t exploit for preaching the progressive brand of hate. For Lackoff and the soft heads of his students, conservative policies caused global warming and people died. It wasn’t just Republican policy but conservative thinking and “framing”. That’s it in a nut shall… and oh yes… money went to the military.. not levys. This is pure political propaganda masquerading as scholarship.

            • las1

P.S. I always think of a “loving” father. Can’t help it… I’m Christian that way.

              • Nukeman60

Yeah, it was interesting to see how he did just exactly what he claimed Bush was doing with the term ‘Tax relief’. I don’t know any Christian families that don’t want to nurture their children.

We base our entire lives on the concept of a ‘loving Father’, but then that was his whole point, to twist the words to make his audience agree with him before he even made his point. Very clever, and now I have another tool in my arsenal against them.

To sum up his philosophy into math, if A is like B, then C must be good. And if C is good, then Conservatives are idiots. No correlation there at all.

BTW, on a side note, I’m tired of the way liberals slam Fox for claiming to be ‘Fair and Balanced’. They think it means that the network can’t lean to the right, which it naturally does. They don’t understand that the term ‘fair and balanced’ was devised when Fox was created – to be a fair and balanced argument against the massive amount of liberal media out there. They just don’t get it, and never will.

                • las1

Yeah… the FOX slams were food and drink for these leftists. How Ironic that of all the alphabet broadcasters who practice “objectiveness” he would pull out FOX. Now why would that be I wonder?

I’m gonna finish watching it… and a few more from him to finish my tutorial on how the left uses propaganda and brainwashing…. just so I can call it out when I see it. It really is pure gold… Thx to Words.

                • Nukeman60

I’ve been looking for The Little Blue Book to put on my personal library shelf, next to my Rules for Radicals, as a tool against them. Unfortunately, my local library doesn’t have it in stock and I haven’t seen it on any clearance aisle of any bookstore – yet. I’m not paying much for it, but I do want it.

                • las1

Well you can get it here for 3 bucks (loonies as we like to call ’em). With prices like that they must be selling like hot cakes. Every conservative must have one… I’ll order right away.

The more I see of this guy the more I think academic fraud and pure propagandist. And he’s a “linguist” just like his buddy Noam. Who knew linguistics would draw out the crazies to benight the world

                • Nukeman60

Thanks for the heads up. I can waste $4 for a worthy cause. 🙂

Edit: on second thought, I’ll search the used bookstores and get it for $1 (I see the shipping is $7, and I won’t pay $11 for any used liberal toilet paper).

                • las1

I just posted this to words above:

I’m finished the clip. When Lackoff says, “and it was sink or swim conservatism that was on that TV in Katrina”… that the shameless demagoguery and hate of the left really shines. He is a real piece of work, isn’t he. I’m glad I got to listen to him. It will ‘frame’ my reading of The Little Blue Book all that much more. Hats off to Words on this thread.

      • sDee

no but just got through the first 10 minutes and will finis later today. That guy has some other videos there too. You know I’ve been saying America’s propaganda machine (media and schools) is probably the most sophisticated the world has ever seen. Already this guy sounds like one of the queen bees.

The left hates Allen -West because he -is the perfect example of what they were trying to destroy by exploiting fear hatred and greed within black culture and white American women.

His strict moral attitude and record of accomplishment and self-improvement drive the left crazy.

Allen West public image is the image every man has for himself, what he can accomplish in his own life for his wife, his children his parents and his country.

Success of the individual, man, woman, society of nation, cannot be tolerated. It turns liberalism into a lie.

    • sDee

With a few edits, all you said applies to what happened to Sarah Palin as well.

By now the pattern is clear so I figure any Republicans and conservatives who now fail to stand by men and women of principle are actually part of the problem.

Things are not so very complicated. It just that we have made it far more rewarding for people in government to create problems, than to solve them.

      • WordsFailMe

S- you must watch the vid…He practically describes Breitbart’s anti liberal technique at around 45:00

      • las1

I like the adage that the left imposes “unworkable solutions to non-existent problems” They do this in order to create permanent systemic crises.

  • When being attacked by lying filthy despots, Obama & Democrats and their legions, never expect the head of all despots SATAN to come to your aid.

  • Boris_Badenoff

I like that little smile he had when he said “we have the bad guys right where we want them.”

Allen West will make a fine Potus in the future.

Like Benjamin Netanyahu, who obummer hates with a passion, West is everything Obama is not and will never be.

  • kong1967

There needs to be a responding ad saying that if we don’t end Medicare “as we know it”, there won’t even be any down the road. We’re going to have to drive this point home or the libs will throw this bullcrap up every election and stop anyone from touching Medicare. Then it will be gone and the libs will blame us….like normal. They did this with Fannie and Freddie. They blocked any attempt from Republicans to prevent the collapse years before it happened, and when it happened they pointed the finger straight at Bush. Liberal environmentalists sued to stop a dam (in Louisiana) that could withstand catagory 5 hurricanes and when the old one gave out they pointed their fingers straight at Bush.

I’m getting sick of this. We have got to start pointing this crap out instead of just taking the beating.

  • Every time I see/hear Col. Allen West speak I wish more and more that he was our Nominee. That didn’t happen, but Veep anyone? God knows Romney needs someone like West to fire up the base and get Conservatives donating.

    • Boris_Badenoff

West has a bright future.. He is actually a young man in political terms.
When you look at the conservative landscape the next 2 decades it is going to be pretty crowded with very capable conservatives to choose from.
No reason we cannot dominate the political landscape for the next 20 years easily..
But it is imperative we get our foot in the door now..

      Obama must go in November..

      • Without a DOUBT the Socialist must go… Either HE goes… or the COUNTRY goes! – into a tailspin and downward spiral from which we may never ever recover.

    • Boris_Badenoff

I think Romney choosing West is a long shot at best. I really think Romney personally will lean toward a Paul Ryan for V.P.
This article over at NRO gives some interesting insight into that imo..

Actually the only reason I see Romney NOT picking Ryan is he might feel Ryan is too valuable in other capacities to tie down in the VP slot..

jmo… and I of course could be wrong .. and I would be more than happy to see West there. He brings a lot to the table that Romney does not have himself. Could be a good match.. the left would howl….

      • I’d love to see them howl! 🙂 I like Ryan too. Good article, thanks for the link.

      • The establishment will not stand with West for Congress or for VP. They fear him because he is a man of honor that puts America and her citizens first. The corruption within our government is entwined in both sides, Left and right. Allen West is the kind of politician that shakes things up, which is precisely why they are out to get him. Colonel Sellin, Lt. General Boykin, LTC. Lakin & Major General Vallely have said that we have a major cover up going on that reaches to all levels of the government including Intelligence and Congress. America is under siege.

        • Boris_Badenoff

What would the “Establishment” do if Romney named West? Not a hell of a lot they can do about that except pull support from Romney..

You know we are in trouble when we have to read an article in Pravda to get the story on things going in in America… thanks Lori..

  • anyonebutbarry2012

allen west patriot! funny how the libs slander him and palin the 2 most out spoken conservatives. He is right where is the big mouth jackson? sharpton? I wish he ran this year for president, they are scared he is going to 2016, that is why he is attacked, they want christie or bush, in.

  • Message from Dick Morris on behalf of Allen West. “This is serious: conservative hero Allen West could lose his primary next Tuesday.Allen’s Republican primary election is next Tuesday, and the “RINO” Republican political establishment has put up a tough liberal challenger against him. Plus, Barack Obama has recruited a super well-funded Democrat who is preparing to bombard Allen West with a staggering barrage of negative ads.” Please help West keep fighting the battle for America. The primary is next week.

Man, I love Allen West! He should be on the VP shortlist!

NAACP Deems Lefty Ad Depicting Allen West Punching Elderly White Woman “Not Racist”…

  • ArizonaPaul

Sorry, but Medicare needs to be privatized, as well as Social Security. They are the biggest reasons that the U.S. is going over the cliff debt wise. Yes, Obama has greatly exacerbated the debt, but until we’re going to do something about Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, we’re just fooling ourselves that we can slow down the debt this country faces. I know, the “Third Rail”-don’t want to touch them. Look what happened when Bush 43 just floated the idea about privatizing a small portion of Social Security.

  • Rep Allen West is not one bit afraid to fight back, I will be happy to support and vote for him. The Hypocrites all lay low when a conservative Republican black man is attacked.
