Allen West says the media should stop asking Obama what his favorite color is, that it’s time to stand up to the president like Dr. Ben Carson did at the prayer breakfast. He also says the reason people are upset with Carson is that he broke the unwritten rule of being black while criticizing the president’s policies. But he points out that it’s Obama who is being given a pass by the so-called black leaders because he’s black.

And there’s more, including his thoughts on the navy SEAL who killed Bin Laden not having a pension:

We have been, Allen, and will continue to do so. It’s our pathetic elected officials and the Supreme Court that are silent and supporting of this POS. They are the ones that need to be speaking out. Apparently We the People aren’t being listened to at all. Even our local officials are folding like cheap lawn chairs. They want/need the money and are desparate to get it now more than ever.

    • anneinarkansas

I agree. We have elected and kept in office too long congressmen and senators who have become comfortable with government life.
      Potted Plants!

  • Rshill7

Maybe one day in the near future we’ll have a President much more like Dr. Ben Carson. Am I day-dreaming? If so, George Washington Carver, Frederick Douglass, Allen West, or the non-caricatured Martin Luther King would do very nicely too.

    • nosilasunny

He actually reminds me a lot of Booker T. Washington.

      • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

But Mr. Carver was more “science-y”. But both were powerfully intelligent men.

        • nosilasunny

I was thinking about his passion for education. I guess he is a combination of both. :)

  • 12grace

I love Allen West. He is a man of great honor and integrity.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/KYTC7EGQASGOTQYPY2KPC4XCZY Don

I could definitely go for an Allen West / Ben Carson ticket for President. It would be one very good way to let the black voters know that they no longer have to be only tools to keep the democratic liars and deceivers in office. Time for the real United States to stand up.

      • Betsey_Ross

As much as I would like that to work, it won’t. Black voters will not go there in droves at all. Skin color isn’t the determining factor. Free stuff is. It’s all about reparations and by Obama’s skin color Black America thinks they are getting what they deserve(but they aren’t) They haven’t figured it out yet.

Now if they took the course of not pandering to anyone except laying out what it means to be an American and convincing the Blacks that they aren’t and shouldn’t be slaves anymore to the Democrat Party, then Katy-bar-the-door. Just remember that neither Allen West nor Benjamin Carson are the right kind of Blacks in the Democrap mind.

  • anneinarkansas

The Republicans and the conservative media should take Allen West’s advice and be bold and courageous like Dr. Carson.
Far too many do not take a stand and stick by it.
I hope that West and Carson keep getting coverage.
    They both give me hope.

While I love what Dr. Carson has to say and West’s thoughts on his speech, I appreciated that they discussed the Navy SEAL team member. It’s heartbreaking that so many of our Military Veterans are in such circumstances, but now especially because of dear leader and congress making things even more difficult for them is such a disgrace.

    • nosilasunny

They didn’t certainly mind taking the credit for him pulling the trigger. This man put eveything on the line for us. He looked evil in the eye and took it out! This is the kind of person we should be helping, not discarding. Wake up democrat voters, they will use and discard you too!

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

        Well said sister!!

  • Army_Pilot1967

I, for one, don’t see a problem with anyone of any color criticizing a political office holder be it at the national or the local level. Politicians have always been fair game for one and all to criticize, and obama shouldn’t be treated any differently because he’s black. Well actually he’s biracial, but he’s called “black” and that seems to give him special protection from criticism….which is a bunch of barnyard bull manure.

    • http://twitter.com/Lady_Penquin Lady Penquin

Obama is given a “pass” because he is a Black of the “Left” that’s the difference. The race card is only applicable if they can use it against the right. I can’t wait until the house of cards falls and the malignant media finds out they’re just like all the other people the alligator eats. Shortened work hours, higher taxes, less health care and higher costs, POOR quality of care, a stagnant economy, and America weakened. Can’t wait, because they won’t be so smug and smart then. They’ve been used to keeping out any criticism of their boy god, and couldn’t cover this up.

  • Rshill7

I’ve especially enjoyed Bob Beckel’s apoplexy over the Ben Carson speech at the prayer breakfast. Have you heard him speak of it?

Waaaaaaa. Sniffy, snuffy, snafu…waaaaaaa. Can anyone hear me…I said waaaaa!

It’s perfectly cool to rip and dis Supreme Court Justices and a sitting member of the House of Representative (Paul Ryan) during State of The Union speeches though.

    Waaaaaaa.

    • anneinarkansas

So have I…he was hilarious the first day (Waaaaaa!) and especially in the last segment where he brought it up again and the other four drowned him out!
And then, he tried to do it again yesterday….Waaaaaaa!

  • Sober_Thinking

    Allen West is spot on.

There are many of us who have been vocal and have stood up… but once again, it’s the liberal lapdog MSM that has been mute or is silencing those of us on the right. They’re the ones who are lying and stopped a healthy dialog from happening.

That being said, I’m very thankful for Dr. Carson and Allen West and others in the black community (Mia Love, Thomas Sowell, Tim Scott, etc.) who have been vocal and strong during all of this evil. These folks are honest and patriots and called out what Obama and his ilk are doing to this country, when other cowards didn’t. In fact, some are worse and have perpetuated the lies and evil of Obama (Al Sharpton, the CBC, Jesse Jackson, etc.).

May God bless these brave, vocal souls who are fearless and true (Dr. Carson, Allen West, etc.).

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

Well, that Navy SEAL isn’t the only one looking for a job. A lot of people are. THAT is the Obama economy’s fault. We will continue to have low growth (if not a contraction), economic stagnation, high unemployment (8% seems to be the new norm these days), sky-high taxes, and poor job prospects for kids coming out of college, let alone really bad unemployment for minorities like African-Americans and Hispanics. Elections DO have consequences and last November a majority of Americans saw absolutely nothing wrong with this. You get the government you vote for. If people have the guts to do anything about it, there is always 2014.

    • OneThinDime

There is soon to be millions more looking for jobs because the illegals will be given amnesty under the bipartisan plan. They will then bring their family members here who will also be looking for jobs. More and more Americans will lose their jobs because the unions will bully companies into hiring the “Latinos” and Republicans will campaign that “Latinos” need jobs while campaigning for their votes that will be cast for Democrats. And just wait until ObamaCare is fully in effect and see employers cancel insurance and layoff even more.

  • c4pfan

I just hope we support Ben Carson better than we did Allen West.

  • sDee

Of course that was a truthful sorely needed speech, by a man with courage and conviction. I am left wondering how Carson got up there in the first place.

Was obama’s staff lazy checking Carson background and/or transcript?
Did Carson change it up at the last minute?

Nothing happens per chance in this Regime.

    • Patriot077

I became curious about who actually organizes/sponsors the National Prayer Breakfast. I thought it was held by a congressional group. I was wrong. The Fellowship Foundation was originally formed by several congressional prayer groups and about 60 years ago as a both bi-partisan and ecumenical group promoting the teachings of Jesus and exploring how they intersect with the political sphere.

All manner of people have keynoted the event in past years so I can see why Oblahblah’s staff would not have been at all nervous about Ben Carson’s appearance. I love, love, love the fact that Carson did not waste the invitation by spewing the pablum they expected.

  • Conservative_Utopia

As an Allen West organizer and constituent, I always appreciated his outspoken honesty and saying what needed to be said, but his military achievement made him easily polarized by the leftists.

Recently I noticed that Bill Whittle’s tactics have stopped targeting liberals’ failings and started to appeal to the Americans with common values and sense. Sounds great, spread the word.

Now I discover Carson (about 5 hours worth) who targets the SYSTEM (in front of those responsible) and it dawns on me that this great American cannot be POLARIZED. He can’t be painted as dummy, greedy, racist, religious nut, cheat or womanizer.

Oh they’ll try. But this guy is going to be in front a giant movement. He certainly hasn’t ruled out political office, but he is going to rally a ton of education in this nation because he hasn’t taken a side with either elite, but rather the people and the values. Bye-bye false argument.

    More Carson http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=4-8NRSfk_a8&feature=endscreen

    • JohnCraven

Conservative_Utopia, I watched the Conversations From Penn State segment with Dr. Ben Carson which was done back in 2010 and he said many of the same things at the National Prayer Breakfast but of course not as in great a depth as the Penn State interview.

      It was a great interview.

I noticed how over 133,000 people have seen it and some 10 low information viewers didnt’ like it.

Noticed how he talked about how it used to be common for him and other physicians and surgeons to take care of indigent patients but it is much more rare now because they have to fight the beauracracy which has gotten in the way.

He also talked about how he used to do some 500 surgeries a year but has since cut back to a mere 300 to 350 a year – I am joking about cutting back low info readers – and that in the beginning he did so many because he was the pediatric neurosurgery department. I was glad to hear that his assistant, Dr. Carol James is still there with him and so many others from the beginning.

I think we need to storm heaven and ask God to grab the good doctor by the collar and throw him into the fight for the future of our nation. I think if we put our heads together we can come up with an alternative party for him to join, call it what you will – The American Conservative Party, American Constitution Party, American Independent Party, American Eagle Party, American Logic Party – and use the symbol of our nation which Dr. Carson talked about at the National Prayer Breakfast – the Bald Eagle (from the Old English word piebald as the good doctor pointed out) – as the party’s symbol – and through the social media – facebook, twitter, YouTube – launch an historic movement for genuine change in our nation from the way things have always been done – the status quo – to the way things ought to be done based on the vision of our founding fathers and other great men such as Ronald Reagan. And of course, the good doctor himself.

What do you all think about that?

Why not run as an independent? As I alluded to earlier, I think either party will instantly polarize the voters. The movement will have to carry him either way.

        • JohnCraven

In Dr. Carson’s Penn State interview he alluded to concern about losing half of his support if he were to choose one party over another which is why I think a 3rd party run would work but if he were to run as an Independent I would vote for him.

Don’t know what is more pathetic, the mindless fool West or people that take him seriously. Please do embrace him,. make him your mouthpiece. People like y’all are going to keep the GOP irrelevant. BTW the SEAL story is bull. He wants special treatment above and beyond what ever other servicemen get… or at least according to Stars And stripes… so i suppose now they are suspect by you braniancs. Gawd y’all are funny!!!!

    • Patriot077

He wants special treatment above and beyond what ever other servicemen get… or at least according to Stars And stripes…

I don’t see it that way at all.
In my view, he wants what every veteran should have, especially those who have been in battle. They get paid a mere pittance while their bodies are wracked with incredible hardships. In recent years they have lost a lot in terms of GI benefits which used to somewhat make up for the adversity they endured on our behalf.

I’m not in the military nor do I have children or relatives currently in service. But I do feel honorbound to offer something to those who were willing to fight for me … and you.

There always seems to be money for stupid grants (like researching beetle guts) and graft the likes of which we can’t even begin to comprehend, but our service men and women get left holding a doggie bag. That’s my two cents for what it’s worth.

Since Dr. Carson is a great brain surgeon maybe we can chip in a couple of cents and have him do some sorely needed brain surgery on Middle Class(less) Warrior. Dr. Carson specializes in the most difficult cases like this No Class Warrior. I’m sure he could do wonders for him by giving him a hemispherectomy.

Of course, he might have to go in through this Tasteless Warrior’s butt to do it but you got to start somewhere with clowns like this. I’m sure Dr. Carson could help Bob Beckel with his crying jags in much the same way.

It’s what they do to everyone who tells the truth..They hate the truth ..it makes their propaganda look shabby..What’s shabby are people who would rather have the government take care of them, then they take care of themselves..It’s amazing to me the inability of Americans to recognize the quality of human beings like West and Carson..We have demonized wealth and bought the b.s. propaganda that they are greedy..They don’t know what we’ve been through , they whine..B.S. have you read Carson’s story.?? He needs to TELL THEM>>> Success has been demonized..Wait until they’ve had the sloth ,they don’t recognize, for a few more years..EVery country these people left, to come here, will look good compared to this one ,when they are done…Punishing U.S..and we let them…??? Once again and I will ask it in every post until someone answers me..How many illegals voted in the U.S. elections..??? How many voted twice or more??? How many weren’t counted???

“It’s what they do to everyone who tells the truth.”

Oh, make no mistake about it, what they believe IS the ‘truth’ to many that have gone through the American educational system primarily in the Democratically controlled urban areas of the northeast, mid west and west coast. Also those Americans that have observed the US from the outside (usually on their parent’s money), in places like Paris. Those of us who were sent to foreign countries by Uncle Sam, tend to have a different prospective. I don’t know if you saw the link I provided to this man.

I’ve been trying for a long time to create a display of this man for the museum to go along side our Tuskegee Airman display but the space available to me is limited and I haven’t been able to find any of his story I’m willing to leave out, much less the pictures?
Nobody (including every Black person I’ve ever told about him), has ever heard of him. ;-( He’s a national war hero in France.

You are right he should be in a museum..He’s amazing..It’s OK his reward was much greater, in a place much greater then this..It does make you wonder….But we are living in a place that flies the flag at half mast for Whitney Houston and not Chris Kyle…
