Allen West: The farm bill really isn’t a farm bill, it’s an EBT bill. What’s happening to the American dream?

This is from a recent town hall where Allen West talks about how the federal government is running commercials encouraging people to become dependent on the government, and how the so-called “farm bill” is really a big EBT (food stamp) bill. Allen West asks “what’s happening to the American dream?”

Those “nice little cards” also do away with any stigma that use to be associated with having to dig out those food stamps and go thru the process with the cashier while folks waited behind you for their chance to pay for their goods.
I have no problem with helping those who are truly in need and could use a helping hand….however, this isn’t what it’s about. Food stamps and all other entitlement programs are about the dems keeping power.
They could not care less about the “little guy”. They care only about their power.

      Great points.

I’ll tell you what’s happening to the American Dream… Freddie Kruger in the White House is trying to kill America.

    This BS has to stop!

Allen West is a true patriot and a leader. Love him.

it has to stop, yes, but it isn’t going to. The last election was the most important. It’s too late now.

      • mediaaccess1

Probably. As a communications instructor, however, I teach my students to almost never use absolutes. You have to put water in the glass before you can decide whether it’s partially full, or partially empty. Absolutes are almost never accurate.

      • TaimeAgair

No it isn’t too late. I’m not laying down for the Commie dogs. No thanks, I’ll keep fighting.

        • Idahoser

I’m not suggesting you should, I’m not even saying I have quit. I am saying that it’s never going to work now, our opportunity to avoid the cliff has already passed.

      • Sober_Thinking

You may be right. Romney is hardly the man we need to fix everything – especially the healthcare debacle.

But if we can kick the current moster out, we will have bought ourselves a little more time. I hope.

        • Idahoser

I think if you are ever going to be able to elect a real conservative, it’s going to have to come after a disaster on their side like Zero. I don’t think you will ever get the RINOs to go along with getting MORE conservative when they are already there with a moderate like Bush or Rudy McRombee. The only way we can win is to come after a Marxist with somebody who actually wants to try to fix things. The RINO way, you never EVER get what you want, they would rather have a commie than a real conservative. But you can defeat the RINO machine only on a mission to ‘fix’ what an Ohole has broken, etc. Coming after a Clinton, you would have had a very hard time getting a conservative. Coming after Zero, you would have to be dead not to want a conservative. And yet we let them get away with nominating Rudy McRombee again. This means, to me, that whether he wins or loses, we will not be able to nominate a conservative until after the next two or three cycles. If Rombee wins, even if he gets a second term, they’ll get BDS again and nominate an even more rabid Marxist than Zero in the next two cycles. One of them, they’ll win, because we don’t elect the Veep of a moderate president. After THAT, you have to fight the Republican Party to nominate a real conservative. That’s your first chance to get it done. You won’t get a conservative until AFTER Rombee is replaced with a moonbat.

If Rombee loses, well, the left is vindicated! Everything they do is THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE, they might let him have another couple of terms just so he can take his rightful place on Mt. Rushmore! Good luck replacing THAT with a conservative. They’ll just run Arlen Specter or Lindsey Graham and expect to lose.
Bush Derangement Syndrome can only work when we have a fake conservative. If it was somebody worth having in there, it would not succeed. a’la Reagan.

“Coming after Zero, you would have to be dead not to want a conservative.”

Many “dead” people do vote for Democrats. 🙂

I understand your point and your passion… I agree with you to a point. My hope and goal is to take control away from those morons and hopefully place our future into the hands of a truly conservative party: The Constitution Party (or The Tea Party or whatever we call it). Since both parties are corrupted, I feel that a 3rd party is the only viable option to stopping this trend. I expect that to happen in 2016.

Btw, I expect Hitlery to be the next Democratic contender in 2016. I’ll be stunned if it’s not her.

What’s happening to the American dream? It’s getting engulfed by that giant flesh-eating bacteria known as The Communist Manifesto.

It’s high time that ideology were stamped out of existence and cremated, once and for all. It is evil incarnate. It is murder and complete hopelessness wrapped in shiny paper, pledges and promises. One monstrous, demonic lie, replete with horns, tail and pitchfork.

My problem is, how do I get your post fitted onto a bumper sticker? 😉

They changed the name, but it’s still the same‘ – West

LTC West is right on top of it once again. The liberals just love to change the name of anything that has gone in disfavor with the public, to deceive and misdirect what’s really going on. Look at any liberal bill that failed and you will see they came back to try it again, with only the name changed.

Also, I detest the fact that so many things are stuffed into a bill. ‘Farm bill’ is mostly about food stamps. ‘Defense bills’ hide many entitlements. There is usually pork stuffed into every bill.

I would like to see every issue go through Congress on its own merit. Divide up these bills into what they truly are. I know most of the liberal’s and RINO’s pork won’t get passed that way, but it’s got to be the way we start doing business in Congress or we will never be able to bring down the deficit and reduce the waste.

The American Dream is being flushed down the toilet, while the Prevaricator in thief wipes his a$$ with our Constitution.

As a farmer I am truly embarrassed when the amount if money spent on the SNAP program is 80% of the total Farm Bill expenditures. This is a vary bad thing for us farmers when the average citizenry sees it. They think all the money goes to us when in actuality only 20%, I repeat, 20% is going to the farmers.

The 20% returns to the average citizens a 1000 times more than the return of the 80%, which is 0.

charity cannot be done by government. What they are doing is theft and slavery.

When I listen to Allen West I always remind myself that the Republican Party is trying to re-district him and Michele Bachmann out of Congress.

That is the reminder that our battle has just begun, who the enemy is, and that no one in the Republican establishment is going to save us.

    • TaimeAgair

Exactly! Many people don’t realize that fact. For the GOP it’s party first, not country first.
