Allen West was recently asked at a town hall if we would support Israel if they are forced into war. After outlining briefly the problems they face, he said this:

We need to get ready to support Israel so that they can look across the Mediterranean and they can see the support coming from the United States.

He’s not just talking about moral support or a strongly worded letter of support. He’s talking about military support and yes I’m all for that. We need to be able to support them with our military should they be forced into defending themselves once again.

Remember, Obama thinks they should have to defend themselves, by themselves, which really just means he’s anti-Israel. It’s ludicrous to think that we wouldn’t support our greatest ally in the Middle East should they be attacked by those who want to wipe them off the face of the map.

Go West!

West is going to Israel in August? Hmmm? What’s going on in August?

Glenn Beck’s RESTORING COURAGE rally on 8-24 in Jerusalem. I wish I could go, but can’t afford it. Herman Cain said he will be there, too, this is news to me about West.

Excellent commentary from West! Our support for a mutually free nation in an area of the globe focused on hate, suppression, suicidal tendencies, and a third tier rip off of the first monotheistic religion shouldn’t waver. Israel is our friend, as some believe, for our mutually shared religious interest, and others believe, for our mutually shared capitalist individual interest, or both. I would rather have a day in the sun with compassionate jews, than a day in despair with 6th century religious stagnant zealots.

We better send them military support after funding and supporting terrorist trying to kill us, aside from the fact it is the RIGHT thing to do. Man, if they get attacked and barry does nothing? I do believe the poop will hit the fan. I think Israel is one country our boys would have ZERO problems going in for a fight if necessary.

YES, ALLEN WEST. I love this new generation of TRUE conservatives that speak directly and thoughtfully. Allen West is at the cutting edge with courage and conviction.

    Thanks, RS.
It’s always great to get another fix…erm, I mean, see another vid of LtCol. West.

He’s expressed his support of Israel before, so this wasn’t a surprise.
It’s nice to hear him elaborate on it a bit more.

When will our American Jewish folks realize that Obama is no friend of Israel?
I hope they wake up to this fact soon.
Has anyone in the media asked Mayor Emanuel in Chicago what he thinks about Obama’s attitude towards Israel?
I haven’t seen anything about it, but I might have missed it.

I disagree w/ Rep. West…& I’m NOT anti-Israel. Hell, our military isn’t even protecting OUR OWN nation, let alone anyone else’s. The Constitution doesn’t give the feds to use our military might for another nation. I’m sure the fedgov could find a way to help Israel in a Constitutional manner if we searched hard enough, however.

    • http://www.envisionliberty.weebly.com/ Mike Leavitt

I don’t understand how you disagree? He didn’t say we’d send troops, and I don’t think we need to. We can, though, provide logistic support, guns, tanks, missiles and jets to help them rid themselves of these devils.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=504624590 Chris G.

If we have surplus weapons that we could GIVE to Isreal, or if the Americans who really care about Israel would take it upon themselves to not only pray for them & even volunteer to fight for the safety of the Israeli people, WONDERFUL! Go for it. But our men & women in uniform have taken an Oath to protect & defend the Constitution of the US (!), not that of some other nation. Congress doesn’t have the authority to write laws using our military to fight pther nations’ battles. DO IT YOURSELF if it is that important to you.

        • http://www.envisionliberty.weebly.com/ Mike Leavitt

I agree with your statement and I think Col. West would agree with you. Here is the problem. It would be protecting our constitution and the US to protect Israel from the Muslim slime who want not just every Jew murdered, but every American murdered. Isn’t protecting Israel just an extension of protecting ourselves? That seems like an appropriate motivation to support Israel 100%.

I have a somewhat related question. It seems under your theory, the whole European Theater of WW2 was unconstitutional. Same with the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Is that accurate?

    • Anonymous

It’s surprising how many people fall for your tactic of stating what you don’t mean when your words clearly mean that which you claim you don’t mean.

Let me guess, you’re a Libertarian? Of course you are.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=504624590 Chris G.

DAMN RIGHT I AM….or was. I was a card-carrying member of the LP until my Libertarian friends got me interested in reading the words of the Founding Fathers — & in George Washington’s Farewell Address, he criticized what he called “The Spirit of Party”, & maybe I am wrong, but I believed that had to do w/ Party politics, so I left the LP & became an independent in about 1995 or so.

Now when it comes to foreign or domestic policies, I ask myself:”Where does the Constitution permit federal involvement in this issue, if it does at all?”….& I see NOTHING in the Constitution that gives the feds the power to write laws giving foreign aid to other nations, sending our troops to fight in wars for them, etc.

Instead of using trash talk against my Libertarian friends, why not seatch the Constitution & find the Clause or Clauses that prove me wrong — if you can or dare to.

There’s is a movie, coming out in the fall, called “Jerusalem Countdown”. It is based on John Hagee’s book of the same name. I am hoping that this movie is going to send the message to everybody to stand with Israel. This decision is very crucial for America.

Obama Dictates to Israel: Jerusalem is Not Your Capital

Obama Signs Document That Tells Israel Jerusalem Is Not Your Capital

MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY OF STATE

SUBJECT: Suspension of Limitations Under the Jerusalem Embassy Act

Obama signed this on June 3, 2011 – Pursuant to the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 7(a) of the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 (Public Law 104-45) (the “Act”), I hereby determine that it is necessary, in order to protect the national security interests of the United States, to suspend for a period of 6 months the limitations set forth in sections 3(b) and 7(b) of the Act.

William, thanks for digging that up from the source! I am upset and sad but I am not dismayed. It was all announced a long time ago. I ought to be thankful to live in a time where I will surely witness the return of our Lord!
I mean no American President has gone that far in committing treason against Israel. This mentality belongs to the Middle East yet …. ! I agree that there is a lot that will happen before the end of the year. May God find us faithful. I will be praying for Israel a bit more from now on. God bless Israel!

I dislike Obama very much, but this has been going on for a long time.

Bush again postpones moving U.S. embassy to Jerusalem
By Ellis Shuman December 18, 2001

U.S. President George W. Bush postponed any movement of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem for at least six months. Making use of an escape clause in the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, Bush cited grounds of national security for making his decision, the second time he has delayed the embassy move during his tenure as president.

“I hereby determine that it is necessary to protect the national security interests of the United States to suspend for a period of 6 months” implementation of the Jerusalem Embassy Act, Bush wrote in a memorandum to Secretary of State Colin Powell.

        Clinton Uses Waiver to Avoid
        Moving U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem

On June 17, 1999, however, the President issued a national security waiver, effectively postponing the move. By invoking the waiver, he avoided the financial penalty that accompanied his decision not to move the embassy by the legal deadline. The Jerusalem Embassy Act mandated that the President move the embassy to Jerusalem by May 31, 1999, or face a 50 percent cut in the State Department’s budget to maintain our embassies overseas.

In the hands of someone that does not especially have Israel’s interests at heart, the “escape clause” goes far beyond a statement about national security. Unfortunately, this gap benefits other interests….

It’s a “politically-correct” posture as US wanted to present as a fair broker in Israel-Palestinian Middle East peace talks. Pressured Isreal to give up the West Bank and Gaza did not lead to peace but further deterioration and escalation of violence in the region.

    Scoop, as you wrote –

“Remember, Obama thinks they should have to defend themselves, by themselves … .”

And, by saying that it is OK for Israel to defend themselves by themselves, BHObama is giving the Islamist Israel haters the political green light to attack Israel whenever they want to.

So, it seems that sending women and children to the border crossings is the nascent stage of the next attack.

I don’t think Obama putting off the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 for another 6 months is anything new since every president since 1995 has crapped on Israel.

Everything else Obama says and does regarding Israel is a problem. Obama doesn’t care about Israel or this country. I support Israel and do what I can about Islamization of America by sending out DVDs to everyone I know containing videos such as Islam: What the West Needs to Know. It’s not enough to simply tell them the dangers to this country. Also copies of The Third Jihad- Radical Islam’s Vision for America and Walid Shoebat’s videos

I’ve had my opinions about the jewish religion and homeland in the past. But if O’bama won’t help to defend Israel, then we the people will go around this poor excuse, and do it ourselves.Just remember, Israel has nuclear capabilities, and if pushed to the point, might use them to survive. Lets hope ” Barry ” doesn’t allow it to get that far !!
