Looks like Ann has fallen out of love with Chris Christie. It’s about time:

WASHINGTON TIMES – Conservative firebrand and best-selling author Ann Coulter has changed her tune and flip-flopped on her support for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

In a Thursday tweet, she wrote: “@GovChristie’s dead to me.”

The tweet came on the heels of Republican Sen. Jeffrey Chiesa’s vote to end debate on the immigration reform bill. Mr. Chiesa was appointed to the seat by Mr. Christie after Sen. Frank Lautenberg died.

At the tail of her tweet, Ms. Coulter also added: “Jeffrey S. Chiesa R NJ votes ‘Aye’ on Amnesty bill.”

The denouncement is a major turn for Ms. Coulter, who pushed hard for Mr. Christie to run for president against Barack Obama in 2011. In February of 2011, she told Fox News: “I don’t care if [Chris Christie] wants to run, his country needs him, it appears.”

  • Conniption Fitz

Supporting Romney was enough for me to write her off.

    • badbadlibs

Conniption Fitz Wait….she dated Bill Maher????????????? When was that?

      • Conniption Fitz

You know, I’ll have to take that back… no clear reliable source when I looked it up.   I had heard this back during the GOP primaries.  Most say they are friends, however.
So, I’ll go back to her support for Romney and Christie and her uh, clothing to base my opinion.

        • Is_Sense_Common

Conniption Fitz  I think she used to go on his show & was much too friendly with him.  Not sure they ever really dated.  It’s always good to remember that ALL news and information is biased and probably holds some agenda somewhere…

  • FutureOnePercent

Ann Coulter is dead to me.

    • Conservative_Hippie

FutureOnePercent I figure yours would be the first comment, since I’m thinking everyone that came to post was thinking the same thing, lol!

  • The Sentinel

I still like Ann to a point. I think she’s lost it big time over the years but she’s done some good and she’s a bit entertaining at times (though I acknowledge her obnoxious arrogance). That being said, she’s hurt her reputation probably irreparably and Christie would be among the worse to support or endorse for higher office. He’s outspoken but he’s also a turncoat.
I hope Ann finds her way and comes out completely from the folds of Chris’s belly and ideologies.

    • Conservative_Hippie

The Sentinel I used to like her also way back in the day.  I think my admiration of her started dropping after the interview she gave to Donny Duetsch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wnPHFSdrME
I’m just tired of here shock jock persona.  Plus within the past few yesr she has made it obvious she is a RINO, so I’d rather spend my time defending people who are conservative and people of character, like Palin, Cruz and West, to name a few.

      • The Sentinel

        Conservative_Hippie The Sentinel
I’m with you my friend and agree.
There’s something surly about her – where she relishes in destroying a liberal freak that I still like. But yes, she’s a little too Howard Stern for me most of the time.

        • Is_Sense_Common

The Sentinel  Conservative_Hippie Her quick and dry with often leaves me giggling, but she clearly has no idea what Amerika needs in terms of politicians or restoration.

  • SierraBear

She is further proof of the irrelevance of the talking head crowd. Can someone please point out one instance of any of them saying something that history has shown to be true?

  • Rshill7

Thank you Flip Flop Floozie. When did you resurrect? I’ll just keep pretending you’re dead to me too if you don’t mind…even if you do mind. You should’ve consulted that mind beforehand.

  • Longiron

She finally realized she has turned off almost all conservatives with her support of Kream. She also realized she was not, never going to be accepted inside the beltway no matter whom she supports. Coulter just does not count in RINO, Conservatives , LIBS or DEMS crowd. In fact if RINO Hannity would not have her on she would be totally GONE.

  • lawngreen

And I’ll bet he’s just too torn up about that. Probably sobbing on his shrink’s couch at this very moment.
Not that I have any respect for Christie myself. I just find Ann’s phrasing comical. It sounds as if she were telling a loser boyfriend  or a family black sheep to get lost.

    • PhillyCon

lawngreen At least Christie’s wife can rest easy now.

Christie has been dead to me since before the last pResidental Election.

    • Conservator1

WolfieUSA – spot on my friend. BTW, Ann Coulter was dead in my book when she was not only a sycophant toady for Mitt Romney against every other Republican in the primaries and for her love affair with the chickenhearted Christie who refused to appoint a REPUBLICAN to fill-out Lautenberg’s term.
I guess she’s has received enough hate mail, like good old Marco, from conservatives to FINALLY renounce her fascination with moderates. Marco still hasn’t gotten the message, but he will in his next election.

      • CalCoolidge

Conservator1 WolfieUSA She is now an excellent reason to miss Hannity on Thursday

  • Laurel A

Too little too late. You don’t put yourself out there as a know it all when your readers actually know more than you…THEN YOU WENT ON TO DEMONIZE THOSE TELLING THE TRUTH! It’s so progressive of you Ann.

  • Matt2Matt

    Rubio is dead to me.

  • froggy19510

As they say love is blind. Coulter had to know  that Christie was no conservitave when he showed that he was against the second amendment, if not then she should have opened her eyes when he stuck his head up Obamas posterior, or his speach at the RNC. But no Ann couldn’t see it until the amnesty bill. Yes love is blind, but in this case also stupid.

    • Conservator1

froggy19510 I don’t believe she really has changed her opinion on Christie. IMO, it doesn’t have anything to do with him. Conservatives have abandoned her.
That means she can’t sell as many books, get enough invites to conservative causes or appearances on cable news outlets and thus, it’s ALL ABOUT ANN trying to win the base back that she gladly threw under the bus last year.

      • CalCoolidge

Conservator1 froggy19510 Unfortunately, I could only hit the like button once.

  • PhillyCon

There was a time when a great deal of us would have cared.  Thanks for nothing, especially foisting Romney on us with your ridiculously titled column “Three Cheers for Romneycare.”
Yeah, most of us don’t forget crap like this.

  • Jayrae

Ann Couter is dead to me. The damage she did to conservatives by her Three Cheers for  Romneycare is unconscionable and unforgivable.
What’s the matter Ann, not selling any books to the little people? Actions have consequences. Maybe it’s time to think about putting that Palm Beach estate on the market.

    • MichaelCollins3

Jayrae Ann Sells as many books as she wants…She supported States rights in her support for Rmney care..I realize you probably didn’t research in depth what she was saying but she is one of the most powerful forces we as conservatives have.

      • sarahsupporter

MichaelCollins3 Jayrae No, she is not.  We have many other “powerful forces” we don’t need her kind.

      • Jayrae

MichaelCollins3 Jayrae Dear Michael, you are entitled to your own opinion. But you honestly should just out the drop in her book sales. Nothing wises up a RINO like a hit to their pocketbook.

      • K-Bob

        MichaelCollins3
Apparently, “as many as she wants” is equal to “far fewer than ever before”

        • Swamp Fox

          K-Bob    Spot on Ranger Bob!

    • CalCoolidge

Jayrae In that article she made the same on Obamacare that Obama made to the Supreme Court.  And again, on Obama’s illegal recess appointments to the NLRB.

  • nancyofNJ

It is about time she wakes up because we conservatives in NJ knew all along he was a leftish RINO, which we have far too many in NJ. He has done nothing to help move NJ towards being Red….just his own personal political gains! I voted against him in the primary and haven’t decided about November. Seems the Democrats votes are more important then those from his own party anymore. I agree with Rush, he might be on the ticket in 2016…but for which party???

    • comoesta3

nancyofNJ You are a conservative in NJ?   You have my sympathy.  I think it was quite apparent that Christie was just another RINO; an obnoxious one at that.  How someone lie Coulter could be fooled is beyond me.

  • c4pfan

    Too late, Ann.  Too late.

  • phil123

    ann,

you gave us Romney too, still waiting for that apology to come…

    • CalCoolidge

      phil123 And endorsing Hillary?

  • Las1

Like other people here I too express the sentiment:  What too her so long.  She took a REAL LONG TIME in recognizing the truth.  What the hell’s wrong with her?  Everyone knew that Christie was a one-trick-pony when his only Vaudeville act was to take on the teachers’ unions.  That was it!  Christie had nothing else… and he expected conservatives to roll over and eat from his hand just because he pushed his big fat belly in the faces of the teachers union.  Big deal!
Coulter, Christie may be dead to you, but it appears that for the last three years, you’ve been dead to the reality of who Christie is.

    • sarahsupporter

Las1 What took so long?  She finally saw that her latest books weren’t selling like they used to, so of course she had to switch gears to keep them sales coming.

      • Dr. Strangelove

sarahsupporter Las1 Nothing like a little controversy to get sales up. Maybe her problem is that all the money and popularity have gone to her head. She wouldn’t be the first to be seduced by success.

  • SheerPolitics

Ann Coulter is dead to me, so we’re even…

  • MiBones

Looks like Ann found a way to go back to conservatism. ;)

    • CalCoolidge

      MiBones I ain’t buying it.

      • MiBones

CalCoolidge MiBones Well, if Coulter is writing another book, I ain’t buying it either.

  • Leel004

Her “out of love” with Christie happened last year before the elections.  She was supporting him for a short time and admits her colossal error.

    • CalCoolidge

Leel004 She was oozing over him since he was first elected and is trying to use the immigration vote to regain credibility with people like me, but not as mindful -after she
endorsed Hillary and savaged McCain in 08, and in 12 endorsed Romeny and Christy and attacked Palin, Gingrich, Santorum, and the Tea Party
She can feign outrage over Christy now (as if his refusal to oppose Obamacare wasn’t enough for a conservative), but she is dead to me.  Besides, I already sent back the books I bought from here.

  • DHardy

Chris Christy is a total and complete embarrassment…Obama has been playing Christy’s chubby little butt cheeks like a set of bongo drums.. He is a disgrace to the Republican party…

    • Longiron

DHardy To the Republican Party, GOP no he is not a disgrace just being what they have become. To the TP, Conservatives he is a BIG disgrace along with Rubio and the other 15 Republicans who are Schummer PUBS.

    • Conservative_Hippie

DHardy Wow, thanks for the visual!  LOL!

    • CalCoolidge

DHardy That conjures quite the image.  Paddy cake.

    • SheerPolitics

DHardy I don’t think Obama’s been playing Christie. I think the only reason Christie became a republican is so he could run against the then incumbent who was a democrat.

  • Conservative_Hippie

    Ann who?

    • tinlizzieowner

      Conservative_Hippie
      “Ann who?”
You know, the skinny blonde conservative chick that will bring all the liberal ‘one post wonders’ running out from under the fridge to post a snarky comment here. ;-) ;-)

      • Conservative_Hippie

        tinlizzieowner Conservative_Hippie LOL, yep!

  • dcnnj

bah.  Christie just wants to be president, so does Rubio.. anything at any cost…just another politician…very transparent the both of ‘em.
    Property tax reform…what a crock…
It will all end badly. It has to.

  • K-Bob

I don’t know about you folks, but it seems to me like every time we get to the cusp of something monumentally important to the right in this country, several of our most prominent “thought leaders” end up jumping in a totally bizarre direction, and flat-out abandoning the rest of us who have been sending money and calling and writing letters and attending rallies.
Glenn Beck famously threw Palin under the bus to support Jon “I endorse barack” Hunstman
    Coulter endorsed Christie and Romney
American Crossroads and Carl Rove sabotaged several conservatives
Boehner and Ryan are STILL pushing for a “let’s destroy America” bill in the House
Several churches seem to be going “progressive”

    Rubio.
It’s like we’re stuck in a foxhole with people who are supposed to be fighting on our side, who then go crazy and stab us in the back for a quick buck.  And our backs are starting to look like swiss cheese.  The Conservative movement is in total disarray because of this stuff.  It’s getting so the denunciations are so commonplace now you almost can’t tell anymore who is actually IN the Conservative movement and who is just another sleazebag trying to suck up your hard earned money. It’s exhausting.

Look, we’re in a fight right now to keep Boehner and his cronies from destroying the nation.  We need all hands on deck, and yet the treachery continues.  The latest I can recall is the http://queenofliberty.com/2013/06/18/freedomworks-director-calls-conservatives-the-freak-hive/comment-page-1/ who decided to “insult upward” and attack Mark Levin, for no better reason, apparently, than personal animus.
If we keep it up at this rate, soon there will be no one left in the foxhole but you and I.
And I’m not so sure about you.
Well, this is intolerable.  I propose we declare an Amnesty.  No, not THAT amnesty.  Here’s the deal: You backstabbers (you know who you are) help us stop this America-destroying bill being worked on in the House, and all will be forgiven.  Pretty good deal, eh?
Here’s the flip side: Support Boehner’s plan to “pass our own version” of the bill, and you accept the lifetime ban you are due for supporting the destruction of Liberty.
So if Coulter wants to get her mojo back, and helps us against Boehner, then I say we take her back.  Let her start anew. (Which I sincerely wish some Conservatives had been willing to let Newt do in 2012. That grudge helped give us Romney).
But anyone who supports the House working on an immigration bill during barack’s term of office should be banned for life from anything having to do with the political right.  Put ‘em in a boat with Dennis Kucinich and send ‘em to Cuba. Primary them. Shun them. Turn your backs on them in public.
Boehner is going to go down in history as our Neville Chamberlain to barack’s Chancellor Hitler.  Don’t be like Boehner.

    • kong1967

K-Bob  Republicans are making the mistake of believing that we have to have the latino vote to win another election.  How do we do that?  Amnesty.  Problem is, they have never had the latino vote, and in their quest to gain them by catering to illegals they are losing the white vote.  They are trading off our votes for other votes that will not come even after the amnesty.
I think many of them really believe that this is a good deal.  Build a fence, more border agents….you know the works.  But there’s nothing in the bill to make sure it will be done.  They made it too easy to stop the fence and impossible to force them to build it.  Plus the fence has no specs and won’t stop jack crap.  As for the rest,  nothing works without enforcement.  It doesn’t do any good to catch an illegal and then be forced to let him go on our soil because the feds won’t enforce the law.  I think many Republicans are going by faith that all of this will actually happen.  It has to because the government has to enforce the law.  Problem is, they don’t and Republicans should address this as well (along with many other things).

      • K-Bob

kong1967 K-Bob You spelled it out totally.
I think we need to retire the term “RINO”.  Anyone who supports this America-destroying bill is a traitor. Yes, I have decided to “go there.”  (And Representative Paul Ryan, I mean you.)

I try really hard to resist such terms, but this is where we are now.  This construction in the House will end the America that championed Liberty.  It puts the nation at risk for all out civil war, and increases the likelihood that war will happen sooner, rather than later.

        • kong1967

          K-Bob  I agree.

        • proud_teabagger

K-Bob kong1967 I agree with retiring the term “RINO” but for different reasons. I think conservatives are trying to uphold their values in the Republican party using terms like neo-Conservative and RINO.  What we call RINOs are Republicans.  It’s time to choose another party call our home.
I re-registered Independent after the 2012 election and hope to find another party by 2014 but if not, that’s okay too.  I just can’t call myself a Republican anymore.

        • DebbyX

K-Bob kong1967 I’m with ya’ on the term traitor.  I don’t feel it’s too strong for what they are doing.  Rhino has been over used and has become almost meaningless because it covers so much ground right now.

        • doofuschmartz

K-Bob kong1967 Let me just remind you, K-Bob, despite the Mea Culpa, Mark Levin DID SUPPORT the TRAITOR, ORIN HATCH in his re-election bid for Senate. Yes, I still listen to him, and to Beck. Their programs, and their websites have some pretty enlightening stuff, but ya gotta tell all the truth, or that makes you a….well, you know….

    • SheerPolitics

I used to support Glenn Beck–he used to have ties in Houston and his friend Pat Gray was down here…I even got to meet him once. But I didn’t appreciate him simply picking his presidential candidate because of his church. Which is what he was doing by siding with Huntsman (who’s father he had interviewed on then FOX TV show) and  Romney. Show me your friends, Mr. Beck and I’ll show you your life.
The problem with these TV/Radio commentator types is they addicted to the media and want to sell their books. They don’t have any real principles. So they will suck up to someone who is growing in popularity at the time.  So I don’t trust Ann Coulter, whether she supports Ted Cruz or not. Ted Cruz is totally opposite of Christie so the only thing she’s trying to do is prop up her book sales. I’ll bet those have been going downhill, eh Ann?

    • applepie101

K-Bob They always count on our forgiveness. What’s their incentive to do right, when they can count on voters to forgive them for doing wrong? We have to stop enabling them. Call it ‘tough love’. No pardon for Ann or any of the other quislings.

  • http://www.navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

I think the last best hope for the Republican Party is Ted Cruz of Texas. It’s about time we have people who mean what they say and say what they mean. I’m pulling for Cruz, until at least Allen West gets back into Congress.

I’ve scrolled down and read a number of posts and I have to say, you are more unforgiving than I.  I always thought she was wrong on Christie, but understood her reasoning.  Her reasoning, fiscally, perhaps he could make a difference.  That would be a big deal if he could.  Tea party rallies didn’t occur simply because people came illegally across the U. S. border, but because of insane deficits.

As if THIS will restore Coulter’s reputation. How many wolves in sheep’s clothing will she endorse before she gets a simpleton’s clue? MANY of US warned against championing Christie, Ayotte, Romney, Rubio, etc., etc.? Ann Coulter, once one of my Conservative heroes, I have ALL of her books except the newest one, now has ZerØ credibility.

Ann Coulter has been Dead to Me since she pushed Romney. Another fair weather “conservative”.

  • Always a Marine

Put the 14 senators who stood with Schumer, Reid and Dear Leader alongside Christie and kick them to the curb.  Not only are they not true Republicans, they are not genuine Americans.  They’re treasonous subversives selling out the country.

  • SheerPolitics

There’s very few TV/Radio/Commentator types that can stick to some form of conservative principles. I think Hannity does, as does Michelle Malkin. Levin seems to (I know he’s a favorite here, but I haven’t listened to him long enough). I haven’t listen to Rush for quite some time but I think he’s consistent, although I wrote him when GW Bush ran the first time to let him know he was NOT as conservative as Rush seemed to think as I knew him from being Texas governor. Fiscally moderate at best, though socially conservative. Which proved out when he allowed the congress to spend like drunken sailors.

    • Wonderful Man

SheerPolitics And you are right about Bush….he seemed to want to ride the fence…he wanted both parties to like him, instead of being the True Conservative that he should have been….that hurt him in the Republican ratings, but, when it come to Obama, well, anything goes with the Democraps….as long as they get what they wish for

SheerPolitics  Hanity was for amnesty.  Rush too.  These commentaries are just there to soften the gop’s pandering.  Boarders and language and culture need to be preserved and they have now been thrown to he ll Hanity doesn’t care about anything but his next paycheck.  Same goes for Rush.  They have more to talk about when Obama is president. Turn them all off and listen to savage.

Ann Coulter is a nitwit. She was the last person in a nation of 300 million to realize that Chris Bagodonuts is an unvarnished liberal.
Her credibility with conservatives–like his–is totally  destroyed. NITWIT

    • Wonderful Man

KarlRogue I think she has much to add to this conversation and I must admit, she has guts to speak the TRUTH!

      • NunyerBinnis

Wonderful Man KarlRogue  A little late. I had Fatso tagged as a RINO from the start.

      • kessi7

Wonderful Man KarlRogue you know thats the problem with the conservative movement. we are suckers for hard hitting talkers. If Obama starts talking strong conservative principles, we may like him, after all he has done. Ann crossed the line a world over… if she returns to the fold, then Hillary Clinton will win the conservative vote

  • Wonderful Man

    I love Ann

  • Wonderful Man

    Hello all my friends

  • Wonderful Man

Hey, there, Sen. hagan of NC is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!……she is typical of the Left!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful Man

  • IvanCardona

Even brilliant people could be wrong. I would cut her some slack and see where she goes from here. She did repent from her sin of supporting the bloated one; now she must endure purgatory for a while-lol

  • WordsFailMe

Hmm, but the truth is, Anne still has a taste for Rino’s. Wonder where the leech will lock her lips next?  Usually, when she gets in trouble, she write another books which is unflattering towards blacks.

  • stephengreen736

Those two make for some interesting political maneuvering..

  • Nukeman

Gee Ann, that’s funny. You have been dead to me ever since your “I love Christie – no, Romney – no, my book sales” fiasco. Keep trying, but once a RINO lover, always a RINO lover. You ARE the weakest link. Goodbye.

    • Wonderful Man

Nukeman rinos are running rampant, we must bury them soon….McCain is one!!!!!!….God Bless Sarah Palin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful Man

Well!  I think Christie is typical left winger hiding out in the land of Liberals, where, they all think People that Work should pay for everything for them, and that is definitely NEW JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!….Glad I don’t live there!!!!!!!!!!!…..I send my best trash to them, considering that is what that state looks like….Trashy, Nasty, Liberal, Dangerous….hah!

  • Wonderful Man

Negroes love it there, because, they can live for free off of working Whites, and actually decent working blacks, etc…..of course, that is rare…unless it is a government job……………

  • stephengreen736

    Oh, wait, your a Republican..

  • Wonderful Man

Oh, wait, YOU ARE A Typical Democrap Liberal

  • stephengreen736

Oh wait, I’m an Independent.. I don’t think either Dems or Repubs are of any use, period.
    Party politics stinks!

  • DonLond

Hah, Acid-Ann just ganged up with the blustery bully in order to take down Sarah Palin (twice) for her elitist GOP friends.
