A singer who calls herself an anti-bullying activist is being accused of attacking a 74-year-old Trump supporter by cops – she claims she was the victim in the case.

Here’s more about the case from the NY Daily News:

A Brooklyn woman who became an anti-bullying crusader after suffering a brutal attack was busted for assaulting a 74-year-old Donald Trump supporter, cops said Friday.

Shacara McLaurin, 23, got into a shouting match with victim James Durkan during a Thursday anti-Trump rally near the President-elect’s namesake building on Fifth Ave., cops said.

The fracas started as an argument over who should have won the presidential election — and quickly escalated, a police source said.

“She was yelling ‘Black lives matter’ and he started yelling ‘All lives matter’ and it went from there,” the source said.

She admits that she pushed him to the ground, causing a minor injury to the back of his head that he went to a hospital over. But she says he was to blame:

At her arraignment, McLaurin’s lawyer insisted that her client struck Durkan after he, mistaking her for a protester, followed and harassed her.

Lawyer Victoria Brown-Douglas told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Geoffrey Wright that McLaurin, an accomplished singer, had just left a performance at the Plaza Hotel when Durkan started hurling insults at her.

“He called her a n—-r, a black beast,” Brown-Douglas said, adding that he followed her for four blocks. “The complainant in this case is nothing more than a Trump bully.”

Prosecutors said McLaurin admitted to shoving the victim.

“I pushed him. He’s a faker,” she told cops, according to an incident report. “He wasn’t pushed hard enough to fall. It took him a long time to fall. I did tell him if he keeps following me, I will f him up.”

This is basically a case of “he said, she said,” and to be honest, it’s hard to know just from the reports in the news who is guilty. But in today’s political climate, I bet I can guess with 99% certainty who people would say is guilty in this case based on who they voted for….
