According to the Associated Press, the Honduran migrant caravan is down to one third of what it was before.
BUT – they make it clear that part of the reason it’s smaller is that Mexico is letting some of them through.
A U.S.-bound caravan that once totaled more than 3,000 Central American migrants looked to be about a third that size Saturday morning, when its remaining members woke up on a bridge that divides the borders of Guatemala and Mexico and waited to get past a crossing guarded by hundreds of Mexican federal police.
Hundreds of migrants have already crossed, some legally, some not. Others left their spots on the bridge to go to a nearby Guatemalan town for food. It’s unclear whether any have simply turned back.
They also note that some could have left to get some food, and that means they might be back.
We post yesterday that there was one migrant who spoke English and was respectful when they interviewed him, but there was one guy who was literally screaming that Trump is the anti-Christ, so there’s that.
Trump also tweeted about it earlier today:
If the Democrats would stop being obstructionists and come together, we could write up and agree to new immigration laws in less than one hour. Look at the needless pain and suffering that they are causing. Look at the horrors taking place on the Border. Chuck & Nancy, call me!

I really hope the Mexican authorities do whatever they can to stop this caravan, which really appears to be more politically motivated than driven by those seeking refugee status.
