More from CNN:
A number of pedestrians were injured Saturday after a car collision near London’s Natural History Museum, London Metropolitan Police said.
A man was detained at the scene, police said. Earlier authorities had said a man was arrested.
The museum is in the bustling section of South Kensington, popular with both Londoners and tourists. The area was cordoned off by heavily armed police, according to video posted on social media. Helicopters buzzed overhead as ambulances rushed to the scene.
A witness said a nearby Tube station was closed.
People are zooming in on the video to get a better look at the attacker:

We’ll update with more info as it becomes available.
UPDATE:
Police say the event is not yet being treated as a terror attack:
A police spokesperson said the Natural History Museum 'collision' is not being treated as a terror incident at this stage. Latest update pic.twitter.com/tdrxV0cQx5

This is odd to me – you’d think they’d get a sense of whether it was or not just from talking to the guy. But police have to do this stuff in order to protect the investigation. I know people love to jump to conclusions based on their political bias about this, but it’s much more reasonable to hold back until more details come out.
UPDATE:
Even more odd – Sky News deleted their tweet I posted above, and didn’t offer a reason why. Here’s another tweet clarifying the official police position:
The @metpoliceuk say they are 'keeping an open mind' as to whether the incident at the Natural History Museum is terrorism-related
