Mark Levin had Ted Cruz on tonight who explained quite thoroughly why Karl Rove is every bit the lying dirtbag you’ve known him to be. It stems from an encounter that Cruz wrote about in his new book, A Time for Truth, that he had with Karl Rove back when he was running for Attorney General.
Basically Rove was pissed that George H W Bush endorsed Cruz when he found out that Cruz wasn’t the pick of the big money donors, and threatened to use George W Bush against Cruz in the election if he didn’t lay low and not make a fuss about the check he got from Bush Sr.
When the news of the encounter in Cruz’s book broke in the press yesterday, Rove put out a statement denying what Cruz had written. But Cruz had emails and published them to prove that Rove was lying and that his account was true.
