***UPDATE: Romney up +1 in Gallup*** Awesome: Romney takes the lead on RCP’s electoral map

Momentum still seems to be moving in Romney’s direction and this indicates. Romney has a lead for the first time on Real Clear Politics’ electoral map of 206 to 201. Click the image to go to the actual map:

UPDATE: In their 7 day rolling average from Oct 11-17, Gallup now has Romney up another point from yesterday. He now leads by 7 points among likely voters – Romney 52% to Obama’s 45%.

It will look especially nice when they stop dragging their feet and put Florida on Romney’s side of the ledger.

    • johnos2112

      Ohio and Pennsylvania too!

      • marketcomp

        That would be nice!

    • proudhispanicconservative

I am from florida and believe me it will not be a blue state, I have done my own internal poll and have Romney winning easy.

      • Susitna

        I hope you are right!!!!

      • crosshr

my prayers are with you for freedom to worship in Florida state proud

And I was thinking “Another one of O’bami’s states bites the dust”

    • sjmom

You are in rare form today! LOL

      • nibblesyble

He is always in this ‘form’!

  • Orangeone

Like that MN is “leaning Obama” instead of Likely Obama. There is hope yet, especially if we can limit the voter fraud. We have 2 important constitutional amendments (marriage and voter ID), both of which the Dem Atty Gen and Dem SOS tried to sue to prevent and ticked MN’s off so I think we will have a record turnover for voting, if only for the amendments. Hopefully given our 2010 Rep Legislature for the first time in 60 years, we will go to Romney.

    • kong1967

Polls are inaccurate, so your state may very well go Romney.

  • JoelDick

    Thanksgiving has come early.

Like the Walker election, I think the results will be more on our side than the polls show.

    • Orangeone

      Praying you are right!

  • AbdulBX

Don’t mean to get off topic, but I’m doing my health ben enrollment for 2013, and I really want to take a swing at Obama right now.

    • poljunkie

We have Blue Cross and it is staggering.

    • Orangeone

Oh please don’t get me started on health ins costs.

    • GreenBeretWay

Just wanted to let you know – today I received my 2012 Social Security stimulus
Package. It contained two tomato seeds, cornbread mix, two
discount coupons to KFC, an ‘Obama Hope & Change’ bumper sticker,
a prayer rug, a machine to blow smoke up my butt and a ‘Blame it on Bush’
poster for the front yard. The directions were in Spanish.

My Mom sent this to me this morning, someone sent it to her.I hope it can give you a laugh while you are trying to get the bureaucratic crap sorted out.

      • NHConservative0221

        That’s awesome!!

    • PhillyCon

Let me guess … you are having to pay much more in premiums for less coverage.

Also, what’s scary is that O’care has not even been fully implemented. If that doesn’t send a chill down one’s spine then I don’t know what will.

  • Lou

Florida should be a lean Romney.Same with Colorado, and Virginia. That would have Romney up at 257 EV.All he would need is either Ohio ,OR win PA and other states to reach 270 or higher.Romney is doing great here in Colorado.I heard Obama now has to defend NH.This map doesn’t look good for Obama.I may be too optimistic, but I’m predicting a landslide victory for Romney.

    • NHConservative0221

      Are you a Broncos fan?

How about Elway coming out supporting Romney?

Peyton is a conservative too – he donated to W’s reeection in 04 and donated to Fred THompson in 08!

  • poljunkie

    Go Romney/Ryan

I’m proud of all of us! (It’s been a long election cycle)

    • famouswolf

Just remember, folks, this isn’t over until Jan. 21 2013.

      Then the work really starts.

      • wodiej

yes, the WH will need to be fumigated.

        • famouswolf

          I’ll bet it’s gross.

      • poljunkie

And it will be a long slog. But such an improvement!

      • sjmom

        95 days by my count.

      • Orangeone

Correct. O’Bambi can do a tremendous amount of damage from election night until inauguration.

        • Sheya

and you can take it to the bank that he will. He’s going to make sure he leaves Romney such a mess like never before.

What I’m mostly looking forward to is to see Obama’s face on Election night when he says “I just called Governor Romney and congratulated him on his Victory”. But knowing Obama his’s probably going to say:

“Uninformed and stupid Americans have spoken and voted that heartless rich guy into office, I’m scared for America and have therefore decided to move to Kenya”

OK, maybe he wont use those exact words. But one thing is for sure, he won’t be gracious about it and you can bet there’ll be a BIG BUS standing right there beside him where he’ll throw anyone and everyone underneath it.

That’s my predication. What’s yours? What do you predict Obama will say in his concession speech (if he gives one)

          • poljunkie

I think he will still somehow manage to blame President Bush during his concession speech.
Also, if there is any chance that the election is a close call i think he will wait to concede.

            • Sheya

I really don’t think it’ll be that close. I’m not predicting a landslide. But I do think it won’t come down to one state like Florda in 2000 and Ohio in 2004. I think Ohio will be too close to call till late but it won’t matter. I’ll predict Romney gets around 300 EV

          • famouswolf

I would like to hear him protesting as he is read the Miranda rights and dragged away, arrested for sedition, murder by proxy, conspiracy, and treason by Federal Marshalls.

      • ColoradoTim

Absolutely correct. I have already done early voting, and I have to keep reminding myself that we can’t celebrate until all the votes are counted. There is still lots of work to do.

  • RosiesSeeingRed

See that…. NJ used to be solid blue, now it’s leaning. I still say it’s going red based on what I see/hear here — that’s 14 electoral votes.

    • Orangeone

MN was solid blue too and now leaning

    • NJ

I live/work in NJ and of the 60 plus people at my office a majority are sickened by BO and are voting Romney. The day after the first debate many of my coworkers could not believe BO can be taken seriously by anyone! Let’s pray the rest of NJ/other “leaning BO states” feel the same! I have hope for NJ.

      • RosiesSeeingRed

Very good to hear, NJ. On another thread I told the story of my sister’s neighbor who has never voted for a Republican in her life. She so despises Obama that she runs around the neighborhood telling anyone who listen that they have to vote for Romney. This, from a staunch democrat. I believe most of the disappointed democrats are not running around like this woman, but will quietly go behind closed curtains and cast their vote for Romney.

We’ll take their vote any way we can get them …. noisy or quietly. 😉

      • wodiej

        whoo hoo!!

    • PhillyCon

Great! You were also calling it! My cousin who is in N. NJ has been out of work for 2 years … it is a horrible situation for him. I keep telling him to hang on … hopefully, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

      • wodiej

Tell your cousin to pray if he believes in God and he will find the light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve been out of work for 33 months. After applying at over 800 jobs, I started a lawn business this year and did ok considering how bad the economy is. Just finished paying for a zero turn riding mower to add to my business. By Spring I will have a trailer and hitch. With more people getting back to work, business will be booming. Being a business owner is not for everyone but I love it.

        • nibblesyble

That rocks Wodiej..so happy to hear your business is expanding and you are loving it..what an awesome God we serve eh?

        • PhillyCon

Thank you for the sentiments. Actually, its his faith that has kept him going. He is very devout, but like anyone, has his moments.

He has gotten hired, laid off, hired again, and laid off. It’s been very trying for him as you can understand. My heart truly bleeds every time I speak with him.

Its great you were able to turn your situation around. I am sure you are a stronger person for it.

  • conservativenews

Romney can win this even without Ohio. He’ll need Wisconsin + New Hampshire.

    • Orangeone

But he will get OH and PA too. The coal miners in OH have a great video out reaming on O’Bambi’s lies! It’s on Scoop.

      • conservativenews

I just talked to my ex-girlfriend from Ohio. She’ll vote for Obama, because he cares about women. What a dumb bitch.

        • Orangeone

Good reason she’s an “ex”.  Email her a link to the provisions in Sharia law addressing women and how women are treated in the Middle East and ask her how she feels then.

          • conservativenews

She is a drone. I can’t help her.

  • ChicksLoveRight

    But but Binders…..

    • Orangeone

And I want mine full, that means I have plenty of work and will be ready to hire in Jan 2013 when R Squared are sworn in. In fact, I will make a hire the day Romney repeals ObamaCare and challenge other small biz owners to do the same, publicly in celebration of O’Bambi’s chains being removed from us.

  • Rshill7

It’s a chilly Fall day here in North Michigan. The wind is sending colorful rain in the form of dry psychedelic leaves.

    It’s like an all-natural ticker-tap parade. Absolutely beautiful 🙂

    • I miss psychedelic leaves. Sigh. My mom and dad said the leaves back home have never been more brilliant.

      • nibblesyble

It has been a warm fall here, then I woke up to all of this resplendent color and that enticing scent of wood smoke in the air…time for some apple cider. Come join me sister…even if it has to be in spirit!

        • Apple cider!!! Oh nibble sister, I am SO there!! 😀

Thanks my sweet friend for happy memories in such a short comment!!

  • mustango

Not that it’s a major concern, but why is Montana of all states going hinky?

  • colliemum

So – how many of the ‘toss-up’ states can Romney get?
    All of them?

  • NHConservative0221

Guess they didn’t appreciate it too much when I brought up an analogy on a sports forum saying:

“Saying this guy is a good QB is like saying obama has been a good president!”

    Sorry but the truth hurts.

I get the “this is my escape from all the politics and phone calls…” blah blah blah. It’s a small price to pay to wake up and save your county!

  • sjmom

This is great news and a blessing of the Lord!

What makes me think I will be up late on Election night? Hope we don’t have to wait til 3AM to know Romney has won. I’d like to hear Obama concede.

Only thing which could add to my joy would be to know my own state of NJ had gone to Romney and Kyrillos had defeated Menendez.

    • PhillyCon

Your hunch was right… NJ was moved to likely Obama to leans Obama. That’s huge!

      • sjmom

Actually it was RosiesSeeingRed who wrote that but I am thrilled NJ might turn red this year.

        • PhillyCon

Oh then, I stand corrected! Awesome for Rosies!

          • sjmom

Did not want to take credit where it is not due. 🙂

  • As much as I want to celebrate over this, I’m trying to resist that feeling that Cubs & Vikings fans get. I remain cautiously optimistic.

    • poljunkie

I agree. This is not time to gloat.

      • Rshill7

Then I’m going to gloat up a storm in digital format and push play on November 7th.

        • poljunkie

Sounds good. Sure do wish we could ALL get together for that!!!!

          • wodiej

Now that would be fun. 🙂

      • sjmom

Gloat no, but be hopeful-YES. Hopeful Hope and Change is a thing of the past!

  • wodiej

Anyone who has endured losing their job, home and some, even their family, it’s been an emotional rollercoaster of disappointment, rejection, grief and loss for almost 4 years. The next few weeks will be anxious ones. I pray daily that God will guide voters to make the right choice.

    • sjmom

I am praising and thanking the Lord because I know His hand of blessing is upon us and therefore we win.

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
      1Cor 15:57 KJV

  • Bleh, I live in MA. Brown might win but I doubt Romney will even though I think it could be shockingly close. I still have not seen an Obama yardsign, but the fauxchahontis and Brown signs are everywhere. Most houses that have a Brown sign also have an RR sign, but Warren houses don’t have an Obama sign. This is Fitchburg, which I hear is considered to be one of a few bellwethers by pollsters in this state.

    • Tons of Brown signs near my town in MA, Billerica as well. 🙂 Some R&R signs too.. Like you, I see some Warren, but NO NObama signs anywhere! 🙂

      • NHConservative0221

Billerica, MA? Ever think of moving out of that state?

Before NH I was in RI — where obama has a higher approval rating than in Vermont!!

NH is actually the first state I’ve lived in that has a chance of going red.

At some point I’d love to move to the South just to be around some sane people — other than this site of course!

        • Staying here for work reasons. But we do shop in NH which is only a few minutes up the freeway from here. 🙂 I almost ended up in Florida (I was in California at the time), but the work brought me here. I like it in this part of the country. Real seasons, real forests, real people (not phoney CA types). I was going to say no earthquakes… But… I better keep my mouth shut about wildfires. 🙂

          • NHConservative0221

I remember there was a MA politician that voted for higher MA state taxes on alcohol and then was caught buying alcohol from a NH liquor store…or something like that.

There’s too many libs in NH for me. Some of the guys from work really have their heads buried in the sand. Drives me insane that people can be that stupid! I can’t imagine being in MA. Could’ve had a job around Boston or even in Cambridge–no way I could live there though!

Plus who wants to deal with Romneycare right? LOL

I still can’t get over how those people kept voting for that murderer Teddy Kennedy all those years!

  • My prediction (for whatever that is worth) is that Romney will win 53% to Obama’s 47%. Seems like that is where Obama has been stuck throughout this whole campaign and isn’t going to go higher than that. I don’t know what the electoral college breakdown will be, but I think it’s going to be bigger than what people expect, possibly even bigger than Obama’s margin of victory over McCain. Like I said, that’s just a gut feeling I have based on what I’ve seen so far. Hope I’m right.

    • famouswolf

I’m hoping that 47% thingie is hot air and liberal daydreaming. It’s hard to believe there are that many uninformed and/or lazy and/or bums in this country, even after the 2008 disaster. I’d love to see o’s popular vote down in least the thirties. Otherwise I won’t be celebrating, just hunkering down and trying to win hearts and minds and getting ready for the next go-round. Not that I won’t be doing that last anyway.

  • C’mon Florida!!!

That said, sorry Scoop, we’re all doing it to you today, but did anyone hear slick willie speaking at a dear leader event AGREED with Romney? Hmmmm… payback? http://www.caintv.com/BillClintonRomneysrightEconomy-592

    • poljunkie

Sometimes the good news is hard to hold back!!!!

Scoop is our bartender or for our under 21’s- this is our water cooler!

    • PJRodman

Throw Hills under the bus again Mr. President? Love it…this is like getting 3 extra slabs of bacon on your sammich…eh?

    • sjmom

I did. I think its payback and I’m not surprised; no love lost there. Truthfully, I’m not sure Bill ever wanted Obama to win.

  • Best news we’re going to hear all day! 🙂

  • obanana will lose

  • Chevypowered

If we can get this; MSNBC, NBC,CBS,CNN and ABC will have their highest ratings ever!

People all over will tune in just to watch them freak the hell out!

  • Ken_H

Hell yeah. I remember Nightline started during the Iran hostage crisis with the tagline America Held Hostage. That could have applied just as well to being held hostage by a bumbling idiot for POTUS then and now. The second ordeal will be over very soon.

  • NHConservative0221

Honestly, I don’t even like that Romney has played into the whole gender/ war on women thing

He said as GOv of Ma, he tried to hire more women.

This is all identity politics. It’d be nice for Mitt to simply say I’m all about hiring the best person for the job, period, regardless of they’re male, female, black, brown, purple, green, etc.

    • PhillyCon

It totally is identity politics, and as a conservative, I can’t stand it. However, as a practical thinking person who wants Obama the H*** out of office; if he has to say things like this to “blunt” the “war on women” crap, that’s fine with me.

My hair stylist and her sister like what they have heard from Romney. They are Democrat women who are voting for Romney in a swing state. I’ll take it.

      • NHConservative0221

I understand what you’re thinking but I really do think that if Romney refused the play the game it’d motiviate alot more conservatives and he’d still win.

At some point we have to make a stand.

I’m sick of Romeny saying he’s going to cut deductions for the rich b/c they’re already doing well enough. That’s pure garbage, it’s wrong on every level to get soaked in or progressive tax system for being successful.

And as Beck said yesterday, it’d be nice to see Romney tell these undecideds, like the college kid at the townhall asking Romney what he’d do for him to say absolutely nothing I’m going to reduce the size of gov’t and give you the chance to succeed or fail ON YOUR OWN!

I’m just so sick of the what are you going to do for me mentality!

        • PhillyCon

Yes, I agree. It always irked me that “our side” bought into their premises in the first place, i.e. of “caring” for people. Last I checked, government shouldn’t “care” for anyone, especially a faceless bureaucrat who has power over my medical decision. But I digress.

  • Freedomswatch

It is a sad state of affairs that so many states are still toss-up states, when the unemployment rate is this high and Obama and his Solyndra friends have pocketed the country’s cash.

    • sjmom

Don’t think they are because how many voters are not polled? More than who are.

    • famouswolf

I am still taking it with a grain of salt. I simply don’t trust these polls and predictions and so forth. Not any more, not even when they start looking positive like this.

Hopefully an accurate map would look a lot more red. Hate that the libs put the color ‘red’ as the designated color for Republican/Conservatives too.

  • PJRodman

Anyone know how many times NH has been a toss up? Aren’t they always deep sea blue?

    • It’s a wonderment. I love NH’s state motto, but good grief, the people don’t seem to ever vote to live free. :-/

    …final tally on November 7th 2012 , ROMNEY 330
OBAMA 208 .(period SLAM DUNK )

  • PhillyCon

Come on PA. Do the right thing since 1988.

    • sjmom

I’m with you but Philly is as corrupt as Chicago. Who knows how many cemetery votes are out there? Every four years the news is full of the fraud. Geesh! Anywhere the libs control they destroy; look at Camden.

Where I see Romney could blunt the city’s vote is in the suburbs and I’m praying the people vote right because they don’t always.

      • PhillyCon

For Romney to win PA, it would have to mimic 2010’s voting pattern. The Philly burbs go R and HIGH turnout in central, and rural PA (the red parts).

        • sjmom

Drudge is reporting Romney is leading Obama in Pa 50-46. It’s the Susquehanna Poll.

Wanted you to know the great news.

          • PhillyCon

Thanks! If indeed true, it is great news.

        • sjmom

Error its 49-45 Romney; wanted to correct it.:)

If somehow Wisconsin goes for Romney you can put it as a solid red state equivalent to North Carolina for years to come.

  • Sober_Thinking

    This is VERY encouraging! 🙂

  • nibblesyble

I am almost giddy with excitement over here!

  • Steven

Get out and vote! And bring someone too! This is not the time to celebrate, we still have a ways to go and there is bound to be an October surprise! If these people can blatantly lie to the American people about the death of an ambassador, don’t put anything pass them! Vote for your lives!

  • DebbyX

Come on CT, get your head out of your butt and go RED for once, it’ll do ya’ good!

I am so embarrassed to live here 🙁

    • poljunkie

      Come to AZ.
Over the past decade we have slowly been shifting from solid red to flaky due to snow birds settling here and those from Mexico becoming citizens.

      • DebbyX

Sorry for that, I know some classmates who’ve moved to your nice warm State. It must hurt even more knowing they’re imports!

  • ObamaPelosi

Florida and Virginia are already going for Romney. So is Colorado most likely. If he gets these three states and then New Hampshire and Wisconsin, he wins without having to get Ohio.

    • tshtsh

How do you stomach your handle?

      • ObamaPelosi

Just knowing that the liberals don’t know what to make of it is good enough for me. 🙂

  • bobemakk

Best news I’ve heard all year.

  • shichong615
