AWESOME: Rubio bumps water bottles with Netanyahu in Israel

Marco Rubio is over in Israel right now meeting with Netanyahu and already a few photos have emerged. Everyone’s favorite is this one where both Rubio and Netanyahu are bumping water bottles in honor of ‘water-gate’:

Here’s another great one:

There are a couple more and you can see them over at Twitchy.

Consider this an open thread.

UPDATE: Here’s an interview with Rubio from GQ Magazine.

  • Hahahahaha!!! Awesome! :-)))

    • badbadlibs

Awesome that Wolfie is back! Oh yea, the photo op…cool! 🙂

      • Thanks bbl! It’s good to be back among friends. It was touching to me that so many welcomed be back. I knew I was “home” then. 🙂

        • badbadlibs

I was about to send out a search party! Welcome back, indeed! 🙂

          • Did you see my post explaining that it was a hard drive crash that caused me to disappear? Fixed now and back! 🙂

            • badbadlibs

No, I didn’t see the reason. Dang computers anyway! So glad all is back to normal…well, that is if you don’t count the condition of the D.C. !

  • Conniption Fitz

Here is a great interview with Netanyhu… (scroll down to 5/18/09)

Notice Netanyhu is speaking quietly, confidently, without a teleprompter and without useless rhetoric. You can tell he is speaking with conviction and without hypocrisy. He means to back up his words with action.

Wish we had a leader like that.

    • Myptofvu

Dear Israel, May we borrow your President, ours is broken.

      • Whenever I see/hear Netanyhu, I always feel a little wistful that we don’t have someone like him in our government. He is a man who knows what he believes and why he believes it. He is a man who is determined to protect his country. If only we had someone like that as our leader.

  • Sandra123456

What the hell is he doing there? Taxpayers pay for this trip?

    • Amy

Hopefully!!! Since the support from our Executive Branch is non-existent, I’d like to think our duly elected legislative branch is assuring Israel of their support. I would prefer we not just allow them to twist in the wind and wonder about the direction of our country.

      • c4pfan

Isn’t Obama going to visit? So, now he can just say he supports Israel too?

        • Amy

If this is a dig about Rubio & his potential Presidential run, I still don’t care if we paid for it. I’m not going to denounce a sitting United States Senator visiting THE most important ally in that region – if not THE most important ally we have. Republican’s have a long, supportive history with Israel – we need to keep it. How else do you suppose that happen? We don’t hold the Executive branch, therefore it falls to the Legislative branch. The conversation between Rubio & Netanyahu is vastly more important than the meaningless & empty one that will take place between Obama & Netanyahu.

          • c4pfan

A photo op doesn’t mean JACK to me.

            • Amjean

The photo ops insult my intelligence. As if we are so dumb that we
think these trips are genuine concern, fellowship and support (I might give Palin a pass because she usually puts her money where her mouth is). We can’t
do that over here? Don’t we have critical issues going on over here?
Obama golfs with Tiger Woods and Rubio goes to Israel.

            • mikeinidaho

What, exactly DOES “mean JACK to you”? Please enlighten us all!

              • toby66

                Palin, and family…..
                I think.

        • RighteousCrow_JustCaws

          “Isn’t Obama going to visit?”
Finally getting around to it after 4 years in office.

          • pajamakat

Only for a photo op. He will do ANYTHING to have his pic taken.

        • Sulli159

I wish obama would get a hotel room in the Gaza Strip.

      • OneThinDime

He’s on his 2016 potus campaign, just like Rand Paul has done. And no the taxpayers should not be paying for this. If he wants to campaign, must be done when Senate is not in session and on his own dime.

    • ChesterWalton

It’s a photo op to demonstrate that he supports the Likud party.

    • gpie8

Rather pay for this trip, than having to pay for Obama’s golf lessons!

    • Remember that Obama made these kind of trips and he was campaigning for pres (the first time) at the time.

    • bjohnson55

Rubio has now been to Israel 100% more times than Obama has in this one trip. Why wouldn’t the taxpayers pay for one of America’s up and coming Repulicans to visit this county’s one and only true ally in the middle east?

    • Amjean

Rubio is running for president in 2016. Even Rand Paul was in Israel.
Palin went to Israel. Did Newt go to Israel recently? How about Romney?
Biden? Obama (he is going soon I think) Seems to be a prerequisite for
politicians; for what, I don’t know.

    • mikeinidaho

Just like we pay for Obama’s myriad vacations! At least Rubio is doing something useful like show American support for our ally Israel!

    • Sulli159

Well obama’s golf outing with Tiger Woods and his boy toy Reggie Love cost the taxpayers 900,000. And might mention the FLOTUS and families ski vacation at the same time. Waiting for that bill after the Christmas in Hawaii….and the 10 Star resort in Spain; Martha’s Vineyard, Taj Maha, South Africa to name a few……..

    • Better him there than some of Obama’s minions. Israel is a true ally. Netanyahu is the real deal. I’ve always like him, going way back and like the rest of you, I’m jealous we have crap and they have Benyamin!

  • Sons Of The Pioneers – Cool Clear Water – Vintage 78rpm Gramophone

    • Have always loved that song! 🙂

    • Mythslayer

We used to have that song on 8-track until our car was broken into as we traveled home after our discharge from the USMC. What hurts, is to think the thieves probably threw our old stuff away.

      • TexasPGRRider

Thank You for Your Service and My FREEDOM Myth !!! This is one of Many of my favorites lost thru the years, that I have downloaded from Youtube and can now listen to at will. GO For it Bro, and Welcome Home !!!!

    • poljunkie

      Sooo funny.
Hadn’t heard that song in years.
Went to a show over the weekend and the band sang it.
      Now you!!!Posted it.

    • TexasPGRRider

Bless Your Heart Ruthie !!! Roy Rogers was part of the group back in `34. Thank You for sharing….

  • You and I may have our issues with Rubio. But what makes this image for me is the fact that he’s turned the tables on the Libtard media and late night “comedy” shows and didn’t let them get to him for his little episode with a water bottle. I learned years ago that the best way to disarm a libtard troll is to use humor and since they are humorless warts at heart they are clueless when you do so because they have really no way to respond! For that, my hat is off to Rubio.

    • deTocqueville1

    • ChesterWalton

Why doesn’t Dennis Miller start a Fox news late night comedy/talk show to battle Comedy Central and SNL?

      • c4pfan

Fox News already did try a comedy thing and I guess it didn’t do well enough to keep around.

        • I kind of remember that… I liked it… But they didn’t keep it on long enough to gain a proper following..

        • cabensg

It’s because it wasn’t funny. I’ve gotten more laughs off of Facebook and here.

  • c4pfan

Is the group that is giving an award to Obama part of the Israel government?

  • c4pfan

Rubio’s Gang of Eight memeber, Menedez visits Karzai about corruption! You can’t make this stuff up.

    • sDee

Menedez’s sources for 9 year olds has dried up with all the publicity over here.

Just imagine the dirt Karzai will have on Mededez after his trip out to the camel farm.

      • hbnolikeee

He heard there are a lot of humps.

  • proudhispanicconservative

Ughh poor liberals they tried to use the watergate thing to Diminish Rubio, and has backfired bigtime, Rubio is more popular today then ever before.

  • TeapartyWannabee

Rule of thumb, when you’re irritating the left you’re doing something right. Israel? I’d say he’s running.

  • (according to the leftist idiots) – they are done!! Cooked!!! Over!!! Out!!!
Water on TV/cameras???? Never seen that 😉

  • Its so strange that this is even talked about. Oh no. Rubio got thirsty in a speech, and he wasn’t graceful when drinking water! He is clearly unfit to be an elected official! Its a career ender! What about Obama telling the Russians to wait for his reelection? Thats a non issue? Got it.

    • NJK

If he was “doing a little blow,” on camera, they’d be all for it, right?

  • deTocqueville1

Okay, I am not a fan of Rubio but that is well done and effective.

  • NJK

    Very nice.

  • poljunkie

    That’s a riot.

Good for Rubio. Whether you like him 100% or not, it’s great to see him annoy the left!

    • OneThinDime

Too bad Rubio isn’t a conservative

      • c4pfan

        I think he’s Conservative, but not a leader. There’s a difference.

        • OneThinDime

True Conservatives believe in the Constitution and Rule of Law, Rubio believes in neither. He’s a Bush boy, moving along the Bush amnesty plan, and pimping himself for campaign donations.

  • jleinf

    Funny-love it!

  • c4pfan

Obama is going to get a huge award from Israel and yet he’s the one that ignores them? I guess Israel is A-OK with that!

    • rsfan1

You need to understand that it’s Shimon Pres, a leftist that should have left politics a long time, that’s giving him the award. I’m positive Bibi hates this.

  • It’s a special person who can absolutely FLING POOP in the face of the media (and the left), all the while laughing and coming off smelling like a rose.

I have DEEP issues with Rubio embracing the form of amnesty he and Shmucky are trying to peddle, but if (and, really, WHEN, because he will) he backs off of it, I think he will be a TOUGH candidate to beat – and certainly a charismatic, likable conservative – which, based on the relative intelligence (or lack thereof) of the electorate at large, seems to be mightily important…

    • c4pfan

Backs off it? LOL Yeah, right.

      • He will. It’s a matter of time. I’m not a prognosticator, but, it’s clear that the Dems and the White House aren’t interested in this deal… even when the deal is basically amnesty first, border security second. Rubio will have no choice but to walk away.

    • cabensg

It worries me to. I don’t think he’ll be number one anyway. To young and inexperienced, not even a governor. Heaven help us who’s gonna be number one.

      • hbnolikeee

Unlike Duh Bumbler who was and is massively experienced for the job???

  • I know I’m in the minority here, but I think extending this water-joke makes Rubio look like an ass. I think it makes him look unserious and vain, not clever or cute.

    • OneThinDime

And the Daily Caller has called Rubio the con man he is with his illegal alien amnesty push.

    • c4pfan

I just think it’s a nice gester from Netanyahu and that’s it. Hardly anything newsworthy as the stupid drinking stories of water wasn’t either.

    • poljunkie

Do you really think Rubio had the brass tacks to lean over to Netanyahu and say lets clink our bottles so the photographer can take a photo of us?

Maybe it was the other way around, and Rubio went along with it.

Sometimes, it’s ok to have a wee bit of a laugh.

Personally, I think it makes them both look like FRIENDS. Rather than the way the President of our Country has been seen lately with a scorn on his face when seen with Bibi.

    • cabensg

Aww come on Neil. He!! he could be a flasher at a football game carrying only a bottle of water and I’d still take him more serious than I would Obama.

    • tinlizzieowner

I think the liberal media frenzy over the water incident in the first place, exposed the real asses. 😉
McCain was ‘serious’, Romney was ‘serious’, where did that get us?

  • Sober_Thinking

    Let the grooming begin.

  • c4pfan

Second EPA official to resign over fake e-mail account!

  • Amjean

How juvenile. Could we get some adults in our government?

  • denbren52

While Obama supporters are busy drinking the Kool-Aid, Rubio supporters are busy buying up water bottles at $25 per to show that drinking water is NOT a career-ending move.

  • Lee

    yasher Koach Marco!

  • TexasPGRRider

Isn`t it Refreshing to see some Smiles !!! Thank You Lord, THANK YOU !!!!

  • cabensg

That was really cute. More of the same please on every issue the A$$holes try to use against any on our side. Sorry I still consider Republicans on our side only because they’re not totally over to the dark side…yet and we even have a few on our side. Name one Democrat on our side or America’s side and I’ll include them.

  • tinlizzieowner

Bet the libs are beginning to wish they hadn’t made so much about Rubio leaning over to get a drink. 😉 😉

  • stage9

    When did Rubio become President?

What happened to that other guy. The one who always played golf and spent all our money?

    • tinlizzieowner

He’s still out playing golf and spending our money. 😉 😉

  • Terry

Since John Kerry is skipping Israel I am glad that Rubio went. The current WH is anti-Israel. I still can’t believe the way BHO treated Netanyahu every time he visited.

    • sickandtired

Israel is probably glad that kerry (lowercase to show my disrespect) didn’t come visit them. They have enough enemies to deal with!

  • GretaN

    Karl Rove-loving Rubio? Photo op.

  • marmo43

this photo op and rubio going there has to gain support from usa jews. i really hope it will. rubio can take the lead here, because obama clearly doesn’t give a crap about israel. he is a muslim and his heart is with them. i won’t ever believe otherwise.. i stand behind israel as do most Christians. we have read the end of the Bible and we know who wins…

  • tinlizzieowner

I’m a media guy, I have a degree in this kind of stuff. Right now, Rubio is exactly what we need. A conservative ‘American Idol’ personality with a team that seems to know how to take liberal ‘slams’ and turn them around to his advantage.
‘Politics’? I’m not going to go there at the moment, the Presidential election is a way down the road yet.
I’m not sure what he ‘is’ but what he ‘isn’t’ is a bland McCain, Romney type. Like it or not, we have to be able to play their game. After the ‘water incident’ and the way his organization turned it around on them, the left is going to be a little more careful how they attack him. They are not going to be as quick to expose their own situational hypocrisy about a young, charismatic, ‘Latino’. Blacks will still vote overwhelmingly (liberal) ‘Black’, that’s institutionalized, though the words of Col. West, Herman Cain and Alfonzo Rachel (among others), are making inroads. The ‘Latino’ community is a little more diverse.
Mark my words, they don’t want him getting any more exposure with the ‘American Idol’ crowd or the likes of Jay Leno, than they can avoid. 😉

  • It’s pathetic that the MSM didn’t have anything else on Rubio other than having a dry throat and needing a drink. Even the Prime Minister of another country finds it ridiculous that they chose something as petty as drinking some water.

  • 911Infidel

Wolfy Schmitzer the CNN drivel-cup cleaning boy wanted to know if Rubio’s reaching for water was a career ender? What a dipstick. Everybody is doing it now. Its like Tebowing.
The Glazov Gang was doing it too the other day. The left still hasn’t figured out yet that its hip to be square. Way to go Bibi. God Bless Israel.
