AWESOME – Rush Limbaugh: I don’t blame Bob Costas, I blame the microphone

A clever monologue by Rush Limbaugh today on the aftermath of the social commentary by Bob Costas on Sunday Night Football:

  • Sorry Rush,freedom of speech.Period

    • Seriously?

      • stevenbiot

        Hahahahahahaha! Thought the same thing.

      • Absolutely,it works both sides.Remember when he said “slut” but he still use the microphone. So!

        • Nukeman60

He said “slut” because that is what Fluke basically described herself to be. It was just an observation. Costas declared that those two people would be alive today if it weren’t for guns. How does one know that? Are guns the only way to kill?

          I blame the microphone. ๐Ÿ™‚

          • stevenbiot

And he was right about that too.

          • NHConservative0221

            I agree 100%.

Rush was 100% right about Fluke and it’s too bad he apologized.

Fluke is a disgrace. I mean who has the lack of shame to beg Congress to pay for her birth control b/c she can’t keep her legs closed and refuses to pay for it herself??

With that said, I fully support Fluke for Time Magazines Person of the Year as she perfectly represents the majority of morons who reelected the worst president in history!

            • Nukeman60

I would vote for her knees as the winner. Why, you may ask?

Because they are open to all.

              • NHConservative0221

                LOL! good one!

It’s a shame that she has become representative of a once great nation.

I’m still in shock that maobama won… been avoiding politics for while and sticking to watching football …. hard to take it anymore!

                • Nukeman60

As to Fluke, she had her 15 minutes and now it’s gone. I heard she draws crowds of 10-20 when she speaks.

As to the election, I too left for a couple of weeks to clear the mind and decide what to do next. We are embarking on a new journey here and it’s good to be in on the ground floor. Check out ABiC’s work over at Constitutional Freedom Party, if you haven’t already. Ordinary people like us have extraordinary power when we band together.

Take note of the links at the bottom. Between there and here at TRScoop, we can make a difference.

                • NHConservative0221

                  Thanks for the link.

What is the goal of the Constitution Freedom Party? Is is to nominate it’s own candidates for local office, Congress, and the Presidency?

Or is it to influece the GOP to nominate real conservatives?

                • MiketheMarine

I think it depends on how far we are forced to go to take back control of our government.

                • Nukeman60

It depends on the future. We are done with the GOP, but there may be many things happen down the road, between the Tea Party, the Libertarians, the Constitution Party, whoever. We are establishing who we are, what we believe, and where we want to go.

A new party, just out of the blocks, makes many changes as they progress (oooh, I shouldn’t use that word). The group is growing (presently have about 80 members) and we are putting together a website to go along with the facebook site.

I know the Tea Party has established roots already, and only time will tell what we evolve into. The bottom line is we are tired of the old way of not accomplishing anything and are taking matters into our own hands.

If you have a facebook account, come on over to take a look (it’s one of the links I gave you). If you don’t, there is much brought to this site here, so watch for updates.

My personal goal is threefold (as many people here have already seen over and over). I think we not only need to start a new party to replace the GOP (or take it over); but also must bust the LameStream (Obama’s propaganda wing) by promoting as much as we can the alternate media, to tell the truth to the populace; and also bust the election fraud (by creating a secure election process). This three-prong attack is the only way to regain our country and set her back on the road to recovery.

We are at the ground level. If you so choose, find what suits you best and give it a go. We always meet here at Scoop and the info gets spread around.

                • NHConservative0221

I understand why you guys set this up but I really don’t see any candidates actually winning any elections.

I think the best approach is to influence and support conservatives who try to take over the GOP like Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Ron Johnson, Jim Demint, and Michele Bachmann.

At some point we need conservatives to actually win elections to save our country.

                • Nukeman60

NHC, I’m responding here to your last comment to me, as I seem to have a problem with posts that make it halfway across the page (the reply button disappears – it’s happened four times to me now. sorry).

Anyway, I agree with what your saying. We are attempting to gather people in support of a common belief and common principles. We like the idea of supporting Conservative candidates like Cruz, Paul, etc.

If the GOP doesn’t change (look at the possibility of Jeb Bush up next), if the election process doesn’t change (look at what happened to West and Mia Love), or if the media message doesn’t change (with 98% of the TV media in Obama’s pocket), then nothing will change. We are making a stab at trying to change what we can (or at least get big enough to align with those that can change things).

                • NHConservative0221

                  Then I’m with you 100%.

The last thing I want to see is Jeb Bush or Krispy Kreme Kristy get nominated.

I’ll fight like heck to support real conservatives.

The response by the GOPe of giving away all their principles is disgusting.

We have made some really good gains when some Tea party types though. Let’s keep supporting those guys and get alot more like them.

                • MiketheMarine

Probably all men or clients. ๐Ÿ™‚

          • Sober_Thinking

And Fluke is still what she is… which is accurate whereas what Costas said, was opinion. And Costas was wrong.

            • MiketheMarine

And I wouldn’t bed Fluke with Costa’s wang. Not a chance in heck.

              • Sober_Thinking

So many places to go with that… ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t think they make condoms that small (for Bob).
Could you imagine his play-by-play during that…
What a fluke it costa him so much to sleep with Sandra.
Bob later commented that birth control caused his VD.
Bob had to throw a flag at what Sandra did…

                • MiketheMarine

Like I as telling Wolfie, my mood is a bit dangerous today, but that made me laugh. Thanks for that.

                • Sober_Thinking

                • MiketheMarine

We have a kick butt community. What an honor to be a member, thereof.

                • Sober_Thinking

          • “There once was a slut from DC,
who wanted her Yasmin for free.
            She went to The Hill
            to beg for free pills.
Now I can’t get her off my TV.”

            • Sober_Thinking

        • stevenbiot

He’s comparing Costas to the idiot baby momma murderer. Everyone’s blaming the gun, not the idiot murderer football a-hole, for the crime. Rush is saying that it’s not the idiot, Costa’s, fault for committing a crime against logic; it’s the microphones fault. Rush is trying to rile up the drones, that’s it.

          • No, he’s making fun of the liberal drones — MORON! This is like blaming forks for people being fat or water for drowning people who can’t swim. Oh, liberals are so compassionate… they judge inanimate objects instead of people.

        • MiketheMarine

Costa’s job was to report on sports not to spew his leftist, pacifistic crap. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the NFL network cut his fat mouth right off of the payroll sheet.

          • NHConservative0221

Unfortunately Costas works for NBC so we’ll probably get more of this leftist garbage!

Apparently during the pregame show they went out of their way to kill it a murder … instead it was all politically correct words like “tragedy”…etc.

          • sjmom

The NFL is as PC as NBC and Costas.

        • You are fixated on that lone word but ignore the overall context. All Rush did was ask a simple question – what do you call a woman who demands money so that she will have sex. “Slut” was simply the initial suggestion (and he said it in a questioning manner) before he moved on to the more accurate word “prostitute”. His question was valid.

        • Not only did Sandra Fluke pose as a literal slut, she became a virtual slut for the Democratic Party and the liberal media.

    • You do realize that Rush is being overly sarcastic and turning the liberal logic around on them right?

    • Howzah123

    • E. Lee Zimmerman

LOL! Oh, Richard, that’s so … rich!

But I won’t blame you. I’ll blame the Internet.

    • NHConservative0221

      LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • “freedom of speech” Really?
So calls to violence & similar are okay? That rhetoric often comes from those on the left, yet there are many claims of rightist speech saying that, which is not true. Just one of many cases of self-projection coming from the left.

    • Lime Lite

Ummmm, Richard, you do know he was using the control of a microphone as an analogy to explain the reasons being given for gun control. Right?

  • Conservative_Utopia

I’m going to have to disagree here. Rush is going right along with this election like it was just another decision that didn’t go our way instead of addressing the massive voter fraud. If THAT doesn’t get attention/fixed it won’t matter who we put on the ballot. I shut off this segment about Costas and his microphone as I was getting irritated about a massive waste of my time. I don’t need four more years of describing the liberal template. I need people on the right to call for specific action against the elitists, esp the GOP progressives. There are common solutions for a host of issues and using the same approach on our airwaves is not going to cut it. Even Levin is falling short on calling out the election fraud, but at least he put up a piece on the Allen West election corruption.

    • NHConservative0221

I think there was a good amount of fraud but don’t think it’s the main reason we lost.

The main reason is that 3 million conservatives stayed home since we had another moderate nominee.

      • Conservative_Utopia

And just how much fraud is a “good” amount? Certainly enough to deny Allen West his re-election that is certain. How do we know how many conservatives stayed home in St. Lucie County when precinct 93 has 7 registered voters and 390 votes? The districts in Cleveland without a single Romney vote? Al Franken? Lisa Murkowski? Rahm Emmanuel?

While all the theories why the GOP lost are probably true, the hide the fact that the elections have been taken out of our hands, and that is being absolutely ignored by our leaders, and rationalized by people who just don’t want to deal with it.

  • How true, it’s always the weapon that’s to blame, never the person who uses it.

  • stevenbiot

Great gun analogy, Rush! Dude is the king.

  • Nukeman60

There’s a greater chance of my house burning down with a stove in it than without, so I’m having my stove removed. There’s a greater chance of my house flooding with the water pipes in it than without them, so I’m removing all water pipes from my house. This will solve the problem of fires and flooding.

I will sleep better at night knowing I’m safer in my house without the stove or water pipes. Or is it the gun in my bedside table that makes me feel safer? I don’t know.

    • MeanGreenBeret

There is a greater chance I might waste the enemy if Obama let’s me have ammo in my weapon….So he is having it removed.

Obama will sleep better at night knowing the enemy is safer.

    • Sober_Thinking

Wearing clothes might cause certain allergic reactions which can be dangerous. Breathing might cause you to inhale a dangerous odor (like Pelosi’s breath). Eating can cause you to choke.

So we should also ban all of those things too if you followed the logic of a stupid liberal nut.

      • Nukeman60

Now if you could only convince a few liberals that you are correct, we could have a good time. And we could tell them that blue color they are experiencing is merely liberalism at work. ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Sober_Thinking

  • deTocqueville1

Rush has gone back again. Yes Rush its the fault of the microphone, just like the gun. Good grief, not very lucid or rational. And today he’s back defending Bonehead and the wishy washy compromisers. I guess I should be glad the old Rush showed up for a few days.

  • deTocqueville1

Okay, shame on me I did not listen to the whole thing earlier and so failed. Great sarcastic parody Rush. however I was correct on the GOP thing.

    • NHConservative0221

I missed that… how did Rush defend Boner? Anyone else hear that?

    • Sober_Thinking

The GOP thing is the real tragedy… ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Guns are responsible for murder as much as a penis is responsible for rape.

    • stevenbiot

It’s how you utilize the tool. Excellent comparison.

      • stage9

    • MiketheMarine

      Precisely correct.

    • Sober_Thinking

Brilliant! I’d like to quote you on that.

    • Van Grungy

That’s what is taught in Womyns Studies

  • i think some of costas’s commentaries in the past have been right on, even though he is a lib, like attacking the IOC for not taking a moment of silence for the 40th anniversary of Munich @ opening ceremonies, his poke @ kim jong il during the opening ceremonies for the 18 hole-in-ones he carded in his only round of golf, and his rant last yr on SNF about over the top celebrations in football, but like greg pointed out it’s easy for him 2 come out & say this b/c he doesnt need guns b/c he’s surrounded by armed guards. the hypocrisy of this is so blatant. like piers morgan, costas should’ve thought before he spouted off about something he knows nothing about. it’s obvious 2 me the painkillers and the dangers of head injuries in football are more at fault than the fact that he owned a gun

    • NHConservative0221

so what are you suggesting? Banning football?

It’s not like these guys dont know that lining up from someone a foot in front of you and smashing into them every 2 minutes isn’t exactly good for you!

And the league has done alot to improve safety… you can’t touch QB’s anymore, can’t lead with the helmet..better concussion tests..etc.

      • no, not at all. i love football and agree that head injuries are something players risk when they step on the field but the addiction to painkillers and head trauma seem 2 be bigger culprit than the guns in this situation

  • Sober_Thinking

Ha ha ha ha… he’s quoting what someone on TRS said… a blogger.

    Still funny.

    • MiketheMarine

I notice that alot on Foxnews, too. Almost direct quotes from Scoopers. We ARE becoming the voice of the conservative movement.

  • NHConservative0221

    Thanks for posting this Scoop.

    this is classic El Rushbo!!

  • Yep, people are not responsible for their actions — The causes are objects &/or what is heard from speaking.

For example, blame conservative talk radio for leading to violent actions, despite the fact that the rhetoric has never advocated harming others nor hatred.

Ha, not the person’s fault — just like when I get a low grade on a test, it was the result of the pencil.

Related, but switching to reality, is the classic essay, “I Pencil” by Leonard Read.
Which is about the concept of many individuals working individually for self-interest & the combined interactions producing stuff.

  • Learnedsmtn2day

We need more “Mic. Control” laws !!!!!!!!

    • stage9

Perhaps we should enjoin “sodomy laws” with “mic laws”!

You say something stupid into a mic and you get to speak at a higher octave from now on.

  • LiveFreeOrDieAmerica

    Brilliant! Love it!

  • brazen_infidel

I was listening this morning, bored out of my skull, as Rush turned what might have been a decent one-liner into what seemed like 20 minutes of pure tedium. This excerpt isn’t all of it — he returned to flogging it after commercial breaks.

I’m a long-time Rush fan, but he’s been off his game since the election. Maybe he needs a nice, long vacation. Maybe we all do.

  • dontdrinkthecoolaid

I heard this first hand and couldn’t stop laughing. It made fools out of Costas, the drive-by media and liberals in general.

  • stage9

    I blame Costa’s tongue…let’s cut it off!

    Too morbid and extreme?

    Oh, alright….

  • objective123

blame the microphone – brillant Rush

Liberals blame white men, racists, guns, etc…

  • stage9

Oh boy, someone please get Coastas on the phone!

Christopher Krumm Attacked Father James Krumm With Bow And Arrow, Stabbed Heidi Arnold

Ban all bows and arrows and knives!

  • sjmom

Classic Rush; nobody does it better.

    • PVG

  • 3seven77

I agree with Rush. How many hate crimes has the public been subjected to because microphone use is not regulated? I can think of a few: Cher, Roseanne Barr, Cindy Sheehan, Madonna, David Letterman, Nancy Pelosi, Chris Matthews, Lawrence O’ Donnell, Jay Carney, etc.

  • Not Myprez

If Bob would have had a Shure SM58 or a good Behringer lapel mic … there would be no controversy either … Shure and Behringer have the best “watchdog” mics in the industry … probably better than any human censor … but …. you have to turn it “OFF” Bob, you stupid idiot … Bob will NEVER have a GOLD mic …. NEVER ….

  • Susanna958

    Haha, I love him.

  • Steve

Rush. It sure is fun to listen to you, but for someone that is wright 99.99999 percent of the time, why did I go so wrong by listening to you? 3 Times you let me down. 1. Clinton won. 2. I still have my MCI stock / toilet paper. 3. Obama won. You may be right all of the time. But I can not count on what you say really happening.

  • Perhaps, one of his most finest. Oh and for Richard (the dope), freedom to bear arms, period.

  • Free speech show only exist for the technology of the late 1700’s.
Microphones, high speed printing presses, TV, the internet should all be strictly controlled by the Government.
Just like only flintlock rifles and pistols should only be allowed.

The above is sarcastic for those too stupid to figure it out.

  • Richard. Shut up. He is joking! I am happy to see that the 100% lack of a sense of humor is still intact in the minds of socialists. And YOU proved it.

  • LOL! Rush made an excellent point. Apparently not many people are capable of understanding his subtle sarcasm. Liberals … listen to his monologue again, and this time, use your BRAIN!
