Evangelical Christians humiliated themselves and showed what they really cared about when they cheered Stephen Bannon at the Values Voter Summit today. People are focusing in on Bannon making a pretty absurd statement that a senator has never in the history of the Republic ever criticized a president while we were at war.
Watch below:

This is a common Trump tactic. Just make absurd outrageous claims because the louder you scream them, the more that idiots will believe them. That’s how both NAFTA and the Iran Deal can be “the worst deal anyone has ever made,” at the same time. Of course, we’ve been at war in Afghanistan for 16 years, and Bannon wants you to believe that not once in all that time did any senator criticize or mock Obama. Riiiiight.
But who cares? In seeking power, these Christians have been set free from the truth. For what does a soul profit a man, when he can abandon it and gain the world?
