Beleaguered Rush advertiser: This is not a boycott, it’s an organized terrorist attack!

MSCO CEO Mark Stevens told Varney and Company about the campaign against his company to stop him from advertising with Rush Limbaugh. He emphatically says that the story isn’t getting out, that this isn’t a boycott, but rather an organized terrorist action.

He describes emails from people telling him that his company is now under constant surveillance, that they are watching every move he makes. His employees, even female employees, are getting emails calling them woman haters.

When asked why he doesn’t think it’s just a bunch of unhappy people, he said “The comments are all the damn same. ‘You hate women! You hate women! You hate women!'”

Stevens is so put off by this attack that he has decided to double, even triple down on his advertisements. He said he’s even in negotiations to just run ads spots noting his support for free speech.

        Seeing as it is the job of the attorney general to prosecute, you are right that nothing will happen until a new administration. Sadly, a new administration will probably just accept what happened and not prosecute arguing that they are out of office and that should be good enough.

  • It is important to tell it like it is and to make it clear just what kind of people so many on the Left are.

    I was just thinking. Rush almost never tries to mobilize his listeners to do a massive phone or email campaign. Do you suppose all this stuff will push him into doing it more? If we can put pressure on the lefties, where ever they may be, it would do a lot of good. And Rush is just the guy to do it. I know he resists that kind of thing, but after all, he is the ‘head of the Republican party’ according to Axelrod.

  • I don’t know what it is, but I feel like I’m being misled… something just strikes me as dishonest in this video, mostly from the man being interviewed. He was too beligerant, I think. It really seemed like he was trying TOO hard…I don’t know. I’m glad he’s giving Rush more advertising though, either way…

  • I’ve boycotted products before- but he’s right. Once it goes beyond sending a simple statement of why you’re boycotting, it’s terrorism at the worst or harassment at the least. Once it goes to threats, it’s criminal and deserves punishment.

    Just because there’s free speech doesn’t mean a person should yell “FIRE” in a crowded movie theater. It’s about common decency-have conservatives forgotten what that is? I’ve seen quite a bit of evidence that they have. No wonder the country is in the shape it’s in. We can’t even rely on conservatives to be conservatives. I was taught as a child that you stand up for what is right. And whether you are Democrat or Republican, makes no difference. It is downright appalling that anyone….ANYONE…would think what Limbaugh said is acceptable. It ABSOLUTELY IS NOT. He is REAPING WHAT HE SOWED.

      1) What Bill Maher and other liberal pundits routinely says is wa-a-a-ay less acceptable.

      Actually, Limbaugh’s audience has grown over the past few weeks, as have his advertisers. Those advertisers that publicly criticized him are in a world of hurt these days – look at the stock prices of those companies pre-Rush and post-Rush debacle. Rush isn’t hurting at all. Neither are the conservatives. This is a childish and impudent group of Obama and liberal supporters who have already lost the fight, but who insist on continuing with it because they got nothin’ else.

    The idea is not just to curtail free speech it’s to **control the actions of business in America**. These people want to make companies subject to the whims of the “social and economic justice” crowd. The very people who couldn’t run a business anywhere but into the ground.

        Actually that’s what Rush said in his apology. The aggravation and agitation by the left made him use poor judgement and use their tactics. I think 26 years of excellence out weigh one speech. We are being pushed like we’ve never been pushed before and all of us are feeling the strain and frustration to be civil and civilized.     He has identified five key things the Tolerant Leftists do on a running basis that are steeped in hatred:
    1. Peppering everything they say with needless expletives — why do they need to do that?
    2. Wishing death and dismemberment upon those who they disagree with, including often elaborate fantasies where those on the Tolerant Left describe in epic detail exactly how they wish someone would die and the sort of abuse they would do to that person’s corpse after he or she was dead — where do these sick fantasies come from?
    3. Repeating apocryphal stories without any attribution or supporting facts — why don’t they make sound arguments based on facts and reason instead of unbalanced emotion?
    4. Flipping wildly from supporting someone or something to vowing to destroy that person or thing the next day because they disagreed on an often times minor thing — like with the jihad the Tolerant Left declared on the Susan G. Komen Foundation when it decided it would no longer be extorted to pay for abortions…why does the Tolerant Left seek to destroy anyone or anything it disagrees with instead of realizing that, big picture, some wars don’t need to be declared?
    5. Attacking Christians and Christianity and actively seeking ways to destroy the Church and punish Christians for standing by their faith — why does the Tolerant Left do this, while simultaneously doing all it can to aid the spread of Islam in the world?

    DuJan asks, “anyone with psychology training or experience dealing with caustic and unbalanced people to chime in” with ideas about why and how to answer the attacks before the general election when they REALLY ramp up their hate and heat.


    Reasons for the ‘hate’ from the commenters there and elsewhere that I have found are:

    I – A Spiritual problem. Sexual sin is a form of Baal worship (pagan worship and idolatry) according to a Jewish Rabbi:

    II – A Trauma problem, one scholarly person says liberalism is a consequence of childhood abuse and PTSD:
    Trauma affects cognitive and affective function, so that a person’s emotional-control, regard for self and others and sense of identity is distorted and disoriented.

    Of course, the cause of immoderate behaviors among liberals could be both I and II.

    I think the tactic is disgusting. I don’t have a problem with anyone advertising on leftist websites because liberals may be stupid but they also spend money. I don’t see anything wrong with any business trying to get into that market.

    Absolutely Appalling…Obama Uses Banks to Control Catholic Church. Obama is a terrorist. He is not using bombs, at least not yet, but this is an act of terror. He is an African Muslin usurper. He is working for the Weather Underground and Muslim Brotherhood. I just called my Congressman, who’s also Catholic and asked why they’re letting him terrorize us this way. I feel as traumatized by him, as I did after 9/11. Maybe even more so, because, I always felt, that someone would stop him at some point. No one is, and I’m worried he’s planning something that might kill people prior to the election.
