Ben Carson: Minimum wage should probably be HIGHER

Ben Carson was on with CNBC today doing one of their restaurant style interviews with John Harwood and was asked about minimum wage. The question was asked almost in passing as the conversation was about how poverty programs pay more than entry level jobs, so people choose to stay at home instead of getting a job, which Carson says he really can’t blame them for that. So just as the question was not detailed or very specific, Carson’s answer in turn wasn’t detailed or thoughtful.

The question was simply ‘and what about minimum wage?’ and Carson responded ‘I think probably it should be higher than now.’ He didn’t elaborate any more on the topic as they moved on.

The exchange happens at the 2:00 min mark, but you should probably just watch the whole thing since it isn’t that long:
