Ben Sasse says that Donald Trump is trying to wage a hostile takeover of the Republican Party, attacking all the core tenants of the party platform.
But Sasse says this is not the party of Donald Trump and David Duke, this is the party of Abraham Lincoln, and that if it does becomes the Donald Trump/David Duke party, a lot of people will leave:
Sasses that Trump/Hillary is a false choice, that Americans deserve a better choice than two fundamentally dishonest New York liberals. He also adds that we are at an 1860 moment, meaning that we need a recovery of the Constitution for American and of the first core principles inside the Republican Party.
