Biden promised Boston Mayor that Obama will pass sweeping firearms reforms by end of January

Sounds like the ‘comprehensive solution’ that Biden’s ‘mass shootings’ commission is working on will revolve almost exclusively around sweeping gun control. Ugh.

BOSTON HERALDVice President Joe Biden “guaranteed” Mayor Thomas M. Menino — a leading national gun control advocate — that President Obama will pass sweeping firearms reforms by the end of the month, the mayor said today.

“He said, ‘Tommy, I guarantee you, we’ll get it done by the end of January,’” Menino said at City Hall today. “They’re going to get it done.”

The mayor, who has been recovering from a host of ailments for the past two months, said Biden called him several times while he was in the hospital, including a call after the Newtown school massacre to discuss gun control.

Menino and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg co-chair the 500-mayor-strong Mayors Against Illegal Guns and have called for national gun reform in the wake of last month’s Sandy Hook school killings.

“I understand the second amendment, the right to bear arms. But I don’t understand how young kids should be able to get guns,” he said, referring to the plague of urban gang violence largely involving young males.

Menino added that the president has “no excuse not to pass strong (gun reform) legislation,” since he is in his last term and doesn’t have to worry about angering pro-gun voters or the National Rifle Association.

“It’s time to get this moving and moving quickly,” Menino said. “Let’s do it now.”

Here comes martial law. Barky Boy will unleash law enforcement and the military to run over this country’s citizens who have obeyed the law.

    • Sober_Thinking

Well then… good thing he’s cutting defense spending so much. (sarc off)

    • PatrickHenrysBody

Biden the phony baloney so-called lover of the military. Yet, what do members of the military use in combat? What do members of the military use in their personal lives, when they’re not manning their posts? Hmmm. Slingshots? Okay, now what about law enforcement? Can they not be considered almost like paramilitary in nature? What do they use in the commission of their duties? What do they use in their personal lives when they’re off-duty (sort of, a member of law enforcement is technically always on duty)? What is the meaning behind the Second Amendment, windbag Joe? Oh, what’s that you say? You don’t know because you’ve been a career politician? You don’t know because you side with all of your left-wing pals? Enough said.

      • Orangeone

And let’s remember all the Secret Service he and his wealthy wife enjoy paid for by you guessed it, us.

        • PatrickHenrysBody

Yeah. He doesn’t have a problem with that.

    • Most military and law enforcement will remember their oath to first protect and defend THE CONSTITUTION of the United States from ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic … Others, I hope, realize what happens to soldiers/cohorts who enforce (or attempt to enforce) illegal/immoral laws … just read what happened to those German soldiers/government agents at Nuemberg Trials after WWII

      • Orangeone

I pray they do Russ, seriously I do….

      • That’s interesting, what would go down if actual laws for confiscation where put in place? What would happen if citizens were given 6 months to hand in weapons. What chaos would ensue as Orders given down the chain-of-command would at some point have to be stopped with someone having to make the decision to pull his side arm and takeover sometime anywhere, from the platoon level on up. The Nuremberg trials where long after the damage was done. (laws put in place are not considered illegal, immoral sure, but we live in a country with many immoral laws and they are enforced.)

        • First, State nullification will prohibit confiscation in MANY states (30 to 35), if attempt is made by federal government to enforce such “laws” revolt WILL take place – at least in these states … the US military – by and large – will NOT fire on American citizens fighting for their Constitutional rights to keep and bear arms and American citizens will NOT fire on our beloved military, there will be some who will from both sides, but mainly their oaths to FIRST protect and defend the Constitution will trump any “Law” of this nature … accordingly, it may be the needed reason Obama wants to declare marshal law, but same results will occur … any Lib/Dem/O supporter who thinks Americans will meekly turn in their weapons is wrong, and in some cases will be dead wrong …

Now, do I believe Obama would shell, bomb, gas, nuke, poison Americans to get what he envisions? Absolutely he would and so would all in his administration … never has the US had a more dangerous individual in power and more and more Americans are waking up to this fact … I’m in an area that is about 50% Democrat and to a man and woman they say “Oh Hell NO” to these gun ban suggestions … nothing short of Obama exterminating the middle of the country will make this happen … and you know what … Obama is the type of person who would use a nerve agent or biological agent on citizens of America and not blink an eye …

          • John

The really important question here is Do you think the anti-gun liberals are so far gone that they would create the slaughter in Conn. and sacrifice innocent kids and adults in the name of saving 1000’s more? I know what I think. But why does it seem there is a mass shooting every time there is a call for banning large groups of firearms. Is it a response to the shootings? Our is it an action to advance their plans. I certainly hope not. BUT……..Feinstein did say they were working on her new gun bans for over a year and what are the chances that when this gun ban bill was ready to go there would be a very convenient mass school shooting at the same time? Not sure what to think any more.

            • Yes, they are that far gone … but it should be known and acknowledged that these “anti-gun Liberals” aren’t true Liberals, they are in fact of Socialist/Communist vein and to paraphrase Uncle Joe Stalin, “One death is a tragedy, anymore than that a statistic.” (and yes I know the true quote) Over 150 million subjects of Socialist/Communist governments were murdered by their “loving” masters in the 20th century … these people are indeed quite capable of planning and carrying out such an atrocity … to them you have to break some eggs to make an omelet … ANY means are utilized to justify their ends …

    • The US millatery will not back up gun confiscation. It would be an illegal order since guns are garrentyed in the constituion. That and the fact they dont like obummer any more than we do!

  • By “Pass” I assume Biden means, “declaring martial law.”

    • Sober_Thinking

      Isn’t that like chapter 7 of Alinsky’s book? Or Marx’s? Or Hitler’s? Or…

      • PatrickHenrysBody

        Yes. 🙂

And NO ONE in Congress will stop him.

F&@% Congress! They can go hang! The ball is in the court of we the people!!

        • Orangeone

Congress must strip this imposter of the position of POTUS.  He has “sworn” to uphold the Constitution of the US.  They must impeach.  I’m tweeting all in my following.

      • I’m inclined to think that there are sufficient Republican’s in the House that will not allow something like that to go through. Either that or the government will be taken down.
Besides, there are several Senators as well, who know d8mned well that their political future in the Senate (and anywhere else as well) would be history if they supported such a bill. There ARE a lot of states whose laws permit immediate recall of their federal electees.

        • physicsnut

          oh dream on.

        • Orangeone

That’s new and great info!  Didn’t know about the immediate recall…thanks for sharing 🙂  Do you know if there is a list of those states somewhere?  I’d like to get that out on Twitter.

        • mngriz

I don’t think they have any intention of going through the House and Senate…the POS POTUS has trampled on the Constitution with all of his illegal appointments of czars and using executive order when he knows Congress won’t go along…so why would it be any different this time?

          • I hope he go’s for it. The states could then sew his bass off and states could impeach him with out congres

    • KenInMontana

Of course you really meant, “initiating civil war”.

      • Sadly, I was thinking along those lines.

    • physicsnut

google “daily kos how to ban guns step by step”
google “The Economist gun control that works”
      They say it, not me.

  • Sober_Thinking

And where is the authority to do something like this? Hmmm?

Another attempt to subjugate America even further. And being led by one of the biggest buffoons in Washington. How is a comment like this unlike the “horrible” comment (sarc) that Romney said about the unwashed 47%?

I got scolded previously for pointing out that there could be a war over something like this… so, let me say it this way: This is a dangerous precedent to set. One that most Americans won’t accept lying down. This would be foolish to pursue.

    • PatrickHenrysBody

      Another fantastic comment, sir!

How to turn 10’s of millions of law abiding, peaceful US citizens into criminal overnight?

Make a law outlawing guns. Any handguns. It really doesn’t matter what kind anymore. The door has been opened and the hounds of hell are frothing at the mouth.

It’s going to get very very ugly very very soon…

    • Orangeone

I posted on IL thread, if they make possession a felony, it also strips our right to vote. No guns and no votes implements the white slavery he wants.

      • PatrickHenrysBody

    • NCHokie02

      that requires a constitutional amendment

      • wales777

NC, what world have you been living in for 4 years? Seriously? When was the last time Obama allowed the rule of law to restrain him from his agenda? Executive Orders are the way he will run his second term….and third….

If my memory serves me correctly Obama was inaugurated not coronated. Therefore, his powers are limited and if the GOP allows him to get away with this one then shame on them and shame on us for putting these scoundrels in office.

    How? Executive order.

    • Orangeone

      Martial law.

The military won’t enforce gun confiscation. Too many gun owners in the men who are the actual fighters. Most of the actual fighters are conservatives as well. Haven’t run into a liberal in combat arms in my 10 years of service.

              • NCHokie02

Ah, not sure how Obama would get the National Guard under his control however as the states have ownership of them. If your state is leftist then possibly. I don’t think he could do a nationwide things. Plus there aren’t even enough federal troops to handle that task.

                • Orangeone

Dem Gov who licks Barky Boy’s boots, couldn’t wait to EO the ObamaCare exchange, Dem Legislature now too.  I’m afraid MN is a lost state.

    • PatrickHenrysBody

Then an EO $h!+canning the Constitution permanently, which means Zero is absolute puppet ruler of the U.S., after the UN assists Zero with trying to stamp out civil unrest because he will not have enough people who are willing to protect his sorry @$$ or the sorry @$$e$ of his duplicitous pals in his administration and in Congress. That’s just it. Young kids shouldn’t be able to get guns. No one wants that. But they aren’t getting them through the legal means you want to take away, you numbskull.

…since he [Obama] is in his last term and doesn’t have to worry about angering pro-gun voters or the National Rifle Association…

Ahhh, the truth finally comes out. Obama has no concerns as to who he angers or who’s Constitutional rights are violated. It’s full speed ahead now, folks. [email protected] the topedoes, it’s now or never. Let the RINOs and Progressives remember this day when they look back at what started all this, if they are still around to look back at all, that is.

    • PatrickHenrysBody

No Joe, you don’t understand a damn thing.

    • physicsnut

How did young kids – like the SDS, Weather Underground, Symbionese Liberation Army types get their guns – er, assault rifles ? Not to mention their bombs.

      • Nukeman60

My guess is many come over the southern border and many are brought into the mosques that dot our country now – both of which have nothing to do with law-abiding gun and Bible owners who are targeted by the stupid gun laws.

  • theslob

I know a few people and some liberals who voted for BHO. They also have alot of guns – this is going to almost be fun to watch them squirm.

    • Orangeone

Might think of turning them in…..

  • aposematic

Well, Gov. Agencies did stockpile over a Billion rounds of hollow point ammo in 2012…for target practice. This ammo is outlawed from use in wars, so what else is it to be used for?

    • Orangeone

Word is spreading it will be disseminated to local law enforcement to use during house to house confiscation.

      • It’s exactly the local law enforcement I would be concerned about. Military has some integrity, but LE are paid to deal (also union, but only partially related), in an adversarial way, with a civilian population and I’m sure many already have contempt for those they are to serve/protect. They would have to do this in a matter of weeks if that’s really what they wanted to do….but communication would break out first. Honestly, they’d have to puppeteer a couple events and publicize them heavily while pointing at gun nuts……then a communications “blackout” and then simultaneously hit all of America at the same time. I can’t ever see anything like that being possible. It would take pure evil to subdue their society like that, and the illusion of a benevolent government would vanish to most.

        • Orangeone

Barky Boy has EO power to take over all communications, energy, water supply and kids are in public schools.  If they take the children hostage and only return for guns, that will hit a significant number of people without house to house confiscation.  It doesn’t take many officers to lock down a school.  Haven’t heard anything to these effort but it wouldn’t surprise me, esp with the connection of CT shooters father to Obama via GE.  And the MSM hasn’t let out a peep about dear old wealthy dad have they.

          • There is no way in any number of years I could see that happening. One thing that I am concerned about, and you may be alluding to, is that there are foreign sleeper agents provoking events to trigger an internal American struggle to crumble the U.S. I wish I knew someone that had this kind of experience that could indulge my questions about what is really possible……………I’m sure we all do.

            • Orangeone

I’m afraid I am afraid that Barky Boy will do exactly this. That person is evil and will do anything to further his cause.  He’ll issue the order, tell law enforcement the children need to be “safeguarded” during the confiscation to prevent innocent children from being harmed or traumatized. Law enforcement will obey.
The coincidence in CT along with the connection of the shooters dad to Barky Boy via GE and the fact that the media has said ZERO about the kid’s dad while they’ve blamed his mother leads me to believe this was a set-up.  Plus that kids father along with the father of the theatre shooter were both to testify in the LIBOR fraud scandal, a case suddenly settled right after the shooting.

              • Plus that kids father along with the father of the theatre shooter were both to testify in the LIBOR fraud scandal, a case suddenly settled right after the shooting.

I’ve never heard anything about this…….any links to more info?

                • Orangeone

Let me see if I can find one.  It’s been flying around Twitter since days after CT.

                • Try this!!
This is a link to Ben Swann a Fox News Journalist from a small TV Station on the east coast. I’ve seen some of his other works and he really does his homework.

              • NCHokie02

I have a hard time believing LE will obey. LE responds to the states not the Feds. As long as the states rebuke this we will be fine. The FBI and ATF don’t have enough people to confiscate weapons in the US. The military won’t confiscate guns either. Too many gun owners.

                • Orangeone

I hope you are correct but if Barky deputizes the 12 million illegals and releases his felons, he has a pretty big posse.

                • NCHokie02

That one is a little out there. He has no authority to release felons convicted of state crimes and not prosecuted by the federal government. He has no authority to “deputize” illegal aliens. That will never happen.

                • medic2003

Its out there, but take into account that there are 400k Chinese and Russian troops on US soil that were here for “training” that havent been sent home yet. That bothers me. We are gonna have alot of blue helmets to deal with when the SHTF.

                • Orangeone

He has no authority to legalize illegals either through EO but that didn’t stop him.  He just made it easier for illegals to purchase guns too.

        • medic2003

I guess that would depend on the area and mentality of the LEOs. Where Im at they are by and large patriots.

      • DCGere

        That is a scary thought…

    • Ken has given us plenty of info on the number of rounds issue. I understand his math well enough to be pretty relaxed about it. Also, hollowpoints are pretty standard in law enforcement, according to a lot of info I’ve read about the rounds.

What’s most important is the attiude of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. Do they support the Second Amendment or not?

Most sheriffs support the Second Amendment, thank God.

      • More about “hollowpoints” here.

      • aposematic

The problem I see is the attitude of the people on the Left. Watched interviews of former Nazi Camp soldiers a few months ago. I was surprized how many said they would do it again because it was the right thing to do. Brainwashing is a very powerful thing. All of the nasty rhetoric from the Left, top to bottom, is not comforting to say the least. I can’t see the local authorities being dumb enough to even try to force gun confiscation here in these rural Mountains where I live, SWVA. Maybe the Gov. just wanted to keep a Billion rounds of hollow points out of the publics hands.

        • NCHokie02

      • NCHokie02

I highly doubt American Soldiers and Marines will actively enforce gun confiscation. I would say the vast majority of the actual men that fight own guns at home and will defend that. Again, we gave our oaths to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. When we realize a domestic enemy I don’t know but I have a hard time seeing the military confiscating guns.

2nd term ‘shock & awe’. Obama is going for broke with the slogan “Abolish The U.S. Constitution or Bust!”… I’ve never felt so betrayed by my government. There goes that whole just living my life and being free thing. My last day on earth will be the day they come for my rifle…

Obama was, from the get-go an unconstitutional, illegitimate, invalid presidential candidate.

As the alleged biological and adoptive son of two foreign nationals who never became citizens, and having gone to school as a foreign national, sponsored by foreign nationals – he is not a natural born citizen and therefore unqualified.

The Senate, Congress, FBI and CIA are at fault for allowing this man to run in the first place. He was impeachable before he was even elected.

Obama will “pass gas”, due to his rich, elite diet, while vacationing on our dime with Madame Michelle.

  • This issue may just tear the country apart. Biden and Obama really don’t want this fight right now. And all the fears about government control that the gun owners had will be proved true with this legislation. I don’t know how it will end, but it will NOT end well if the goal is to disarm the American public.

  • ryanomaniac

An issue this serious should be taken to a national vote. Like the presidency. These guys in Washington don’t even come to ask their constituents what THEY want. They just do it from on high in Washington. We the peasants.

    • NCHokie02

We are a constitutional republic though not a democracy. Our officials are elected by a democratic process and some local laws are passed on the democratic process but thats it. If you think that the left won’t try crap as they do in all the other elections (104% voting??) to get the votes they need for the laws they want you are sorely mistaken. Besides the criminals will still have their guns if a law were to pass that way.

You are correct on the fact though that a lot of elected officials lose sight of what they ran on and why they were elected. They constituents need to hold them to their word or replace them.

      • ryanomaniac

Problem is they do what they do with more ease through their kind of “democratic” process. Trying to convince the majority to restrict gun rights would be a super hard task. In fact it wouldn’t happen. There aren’t enough illegal votes to make a difference. The presidency was much closer than this vote would be.

I’m not talking about lesser laws. I’m talking about issues as large as this. Any change to the Second Amendment, which I say is the most important, should have a national vote. Remember Democrats and Republicans have guns.

        • NCHokie02

Any change to the second Amendment would require a constitutional convention and would require 2/3’s of the House and 2/3’s of the Senate then 2/3’s (or 3/4’s) of the states to ratify. Thats how the constitution is amended. Now if the states then put that up to a popular vote for their states vote on it so be it. But thats how it’s done. A national vote is not good precedence. If we can vote on that then why not have the people vote on everything else?

  • Susan Harms

what Obambi doesnt understand about “matial law” is that if he declares it, he is no longer in charge. The military is. I dont think he wants that.

    • tinlizzieowner

“After all – there’s Fast & Furious to account for …”

To not account for, would be more accurate. 😉

      • colliemum

Indeed – as far as the POS and his crony at the DoJ are concerned.

But I trust that the American people (well, the conservatives, at any rate) will demand a reckoning if the POS is trying to make them into criminals by imposing such laws while having broken them himself, and having facilitated the gun running of the real criminals as well.

        • tinlizzieowner

The truth will eventually come out but not while Holder is in charge of the ‘Just-Us’ Dept.

  • colliemum

Having read all your comments, let me point out something you all didn’t mention when talking about the possibility of Martial Law, and of local LEO going house-to-house:

    * once even a hint of unrest, or even of martial law and suspension of Congress is in the air, watch the creditor nations pull their money out, iaw, demand to have their loans paid back in full. Now. And there will be no more loans given. No more money for the Fed Government. Economic crash.

I think Obama’s puppet handlers are even now telling him to desist. Yes, they want the USA brought to her knees – but they do not want to lose their wealth, their investments, which would happen once the creditor nations pull the plug.

So I’d be cautiously optimistic – there’s going to be a lot of smoke and mirrors and sound and fury, but in the end things will not change that much.

    • NCHokie02

      good point.

      • colliemum

Being on the other side of the Big Pond means that the so-called ‘Big Picture’ is always there on the periphery of my thoughts.

Obama’s handlers know full well that a thorough crash of all law and order through Martial Law would inevitably mean a total crash of the world economy, because that’s the consequence of a crash of the USA. There’d be nowhere to go for them. Not even Switzerland …

They want to use the communist tactics of incremental changes, not of a total, abrupt change, because they want to keep their immense wealth – and they want to keep on living in a functioning USA.

        • NCHokie02

Exactly. If martial law were implemented the money would dry up quick. And Switzerland has the most guns per household in the world. Children are taught marksmanship as well. Part of their defense plans and they don’t seem to have a problem with it. Think the problem is more with society than with guns themselves.

        • tinlizzieowner

It is precisely because you are on the ‘other side of the pond’ that I appreciate your comments. 🙂
You don’t have to be 100% correct (though I think you are, in this context) but you are in a position to view all of our gyrations, that I am not. 😉

    • physicsnut

It didn’t stop Australia, or Canada, or England.

      • colliemum

AFAIK, neither of those countries have a 2nd Amendment, and neither imposed Martial Law (something which might – repeat: might! – happen) in order to disarm their population.
Also, AFAIK, the economy of neither of those countries has a comparative effect on the global economy as that of the USA.

Did you actually understand what I was talking about, and did you actually understand that my comment was addressing a scenario which is so far hypothetical?

  • NCHokie02

I’m not sure how Biden thinks that “Obama will pass gun legislation” is going to work. If the House passes any weapon ban those congressmen and women better prepare to primaried in the next election. Although there is talk of an “assault weapon” ban I don’t know if it will pass the House. It better not.

Also, the mayor talks about gangs being able to get guns. Those come from secondary markets and I would like to bet that more often than not handguns are used in crimes not rifles. It’s a little hard walking around trying to look somewhat innocent after a crime while at the same time trying to hide a rifle somewhere on your body. Pistols are much easier to conceal.

Edit: Plus Joe Biden is an idiot.

The administration that brought us ‘Fast & Furious’ talks about gangs having guns, right? 😉
This would be almost funny if it didn’t reek with the typical liberal hypocrisy.

Joyce Lee Malcolm: Two Cautionary Tales of Gun Control

“Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation arms as the blackest.” —Gandhi

“I WOULD risk violence a thousand times rather than risk the emasculation of a whole race.” —Gandhi

“I have been repeating over and over again that he who cannot protect himself or his nearest and dearest or their honour by non-violently facing death may and ought to do so by violently dealing with the oppressor. He who can do neither of the two is a burden. He has no business to be the head of a family. He must either hide himself, or must rest content to live for ever in helplessness and be prepared to crawl like a worm at the bidding of a bully.” —Gandhi

“Menino and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg co-chair the 500-mayor-strong Mayors Against Illegal Guns”.

“Mayors Against Illegal Guns”, huh? More leftist double talk.
2 ‘gun free zone’ cities, with the strictest gun laws go after ‘legal’ gun owners, with ‘legal’ weapons, yet have some of the highest ‘Ghetto (illegal) gun crime’ statistics. 😉

    How good are Bidens guarantees?

  • Army_Pilot1967

Enough of this……..I’m outta here, going to look to purchase a gun before it’s too late!!!!!!!

  • wraith67

Well, this will be interesting. This administration has used executive order to get around a balky congress before, I expect something ridiculous and entirely unconstitutional to follow soon (after all, BHO thinks he’s got licence now, and the Republicans are essentially cowards). The interesting part will be if gun owners will resist. There isn’t 70 million jail cells.

  • I really do believe that they are putting out all of this rhetoric about banning all kinds of guns, when their main agenda is just registration right now. I am not saying that they don’t want to ban them all, just that they make it huge, then settle for one or two things. Registration is just one of the main steps toward a total ban. They don’t know where the guns are, and will need to when the time comes to take them. This is just history in the repeating.

Lets be careful not to be reactionists, and lose our head on this issue. Just be aware of how it is done, and peacefully resist before they get too much of their agenda accomplished. Buy your guns used, outside of a dealer if possible. Do not register them. Do not let them control the chain of ownership. Make sure that you get what you want before they make it difficult and expensive to acquire.

They will not relent, because we are too close to a full shut down of this country, and they know it. They are making it happen, knowingly. They know that their job will be much harder further down the line if they don’t get the guns up front.

It would be preferrable that the states fight back, rather than the individual Americans. It would be preferrable that law enforcement and military refused orders to enforce these laws. It would be preferrable that the politicians would protect our rights, but that is not why they are put in office by their buddies and fraudulent electoral system.

This isn’t just a bunch of liberals that don’t get it, it is the entire federal government that has grown corrupt, is now owned primarily by foreigners, and is carrying out a plan to shut down the country and basically have nothing left but slaves to the ruling elites.

    No joke people.

    • Lives4Freedom

“I am not saying that they don’t want to ban them all, just that they make it huge, then settle for one or two things.”

Exactly. This is the only way the gun-grabbers will see success. Nibble, nibble, nibble.

It’s representative of the Overton Window:

      – Gun-grabber introduces bill. It’s complete non-sense, like Frankenstein’s bill. Ban 4238 things, register this, control that, blah-de blah blah. Only a small handful of extreme leftists will support it.

      – Negotiatiate, argue, debate, etc.

      – Result might be the passage of legislation that bans the manufacture of magazines over ten rounds (grandfathering accepted), or it might be a registration requirement of new handguns. Every lefty is cool with that, most indifferent people will be ok with it, and even a few conservatives who don’t know any better might go, “can’t hurt”; so it passes. We get duped into losing a liberty without even realizing it, just because the final bill ‘tastes’ a lot better than what was thrown at them in the beginning.

Not a single piece of the bill warranted discussion in the first place, but….there you go.

    • physicsnut

not only do they know where the guns are, they have all the computers to detect anybody doing anything !

      • I suppose that they do know in some states. Others, they do not. It is probably time for people to quit talking and posting what guns they have online, and keep it quiet over the phone as well.

They know that many police will not enforce whatever they come up with. Many will. By making it federal, they can then collect all previously collected data, and build on it from there.

They are storing all electronic communications now. They are using data points to compile lists on people. They then rate the content and prioritize the possible threats. This narrows down who they will consider to be top priority come time to confiscate.

If you don’t plan on complying, you better have a good plan and know what they are going to do ahead of time.

  • ebola131

If you look up stats of countries that enacted gun confiscation, they were at most 20% successful.
If it were tried in the USA, you’re talking about a Civil War that the government can’t win.
Of the hundred million or so gun owners; even if only 3% of them truly believe that their government has become tyrannical, that’s 3 million heavily armed soldiers
that will defend their God given Rights, under the dictates of the Declaration and the Constitution.

Local police, state police, DHS, and TSA total around 800,000, and you can forget the local and state police from participating. They want to enjoy the unfettered consumption of oxygen.
A vast majority of military are from Red states and vowed to Defend the Constitution….same with ex military.
TSA is a gaggle of “burger flipper perverts” in blue shirts who couldn’t hit a barn with an RPG.
DHS…half of them have families and would decline to participate.

One last fact: Barak Hussein Obama is the greatest gun and ammo salesman in the history of the world…and they weren’t bought for shooting squirrels.

Bumbling Biden and Mumbles Menino, both minions of Marxism and neither can properly comprehend the simple language of the Constitution. The Second Amendment is quite clear … what do they not understand about the phrase ” … shall not be infringed”?

  • As the left always says: “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.
As I always say, “Never listen to waste during a crisis”.

Google and enter Susan Daniels in the search box. Listen to one of the interviews about how Barack Obama has been using a fraudulent Connecticut social security number since he was twenty-five. That is a felony. Felons cannot legally be president.

      • It is a statement made by King Leonidas of Sparta.  The persian emperor Xerxes with over 500,000 marauders was invading Greece.  King Leonidas had 300 of his personal bodyguards (see the movie The 300).  the persian said “lay down your arms and you will be spared” – King Leonidas said “Molon Labe”  translated from the Greek ” Come and Take Them”.   A statement from history that pertains to losing our arms today right here in America!!  J

In other words, they’re going to shove it down our throats even though they know the public is against it. Typical. Hitler did the same thing. So did Stalin.

  • Menino might well be sure to have his state police guard around at all times. His position, in, of all places- where the basis for the 2nd was formulated- is likely to make him a most unpopular person.
And, for his ignorance of where the street gangs get their guns, it SURE AS HELL isn’t from LAW-ABIDING GUN OWNERS!
    Ignorant pr*ck!

  • Biden forgot one thing Mayor, the people. 2.8 million NICS purchase checks in Dec 2012. The people will have the final say,not Biden, not you,not Obama neither. Too bad Hillary’s blood clot didn’t hit her brain and your ailments haven’t killed both of you. No gun needed.

  • “Joe Biden…….one of the consummate liars and demagogues of our political age. A blustering boisterous blowhard of a man, who careens forward, capped teeth flashing in the sun, through inaccuracies and conflations of all shapes and sizes with reassuring emotional appeals and tough-sounding rhetoric. His entire career is built on his ability to tell blatant falsehoods and sound convincing while he does it. He is the ideal modern specimen of Senator qui absurdum est, his DNA strands traced to the very first braggadocios of Rome, clad in the toga candida, who so enjoyed interrupting the stammering Cicero. Joe, crazy Uncle Joe, ended up as Vice President – can you believe it? In Today’s America, Believe it!! Whenever he opens his mouth and spews out the most ridiculous statements like this one….it reminds me of the south end of a north bound mule with a diarrhea problem. Biden just thinks he’s lucky to be along for the ride, and he’s the best there is in politics because the average American believes it.

Obama will get our guns by using Russian troops trained at Ft Carson Colorado, not our military.

  • davienne

    This gun thing…

Have struggled with it, didn’t grow up with guns, never got it.

When I first read the article here, I thought the “Fools rush in…” comment referred to the “gun-grabbers” as those rushing out to buy guns. Then realized, obviously, it refers to those wanting to take them away…

Thought-provoking article, which helped me finally start to get it: the Second Amendment Right.

But, with the 300 million guns in this country about to double probably before these laws get passed, the craziness of that, and the Civil War the author sees…

What can we feel about an upcoming battle to fight to protect our right that will probably really destroy us from within?

“Those who live by the sword…”

    It still is confusing.

    • … will die by the sword”… Who do you think he was facing? If you ever stepped into the fray that a friend might have started you face the stranger, not your friend so you don’t get killed. Jesus was talking directly to the Roman Authoritarian Soldiers and told them to put them (swords) in their place. Not to get rid of them. He was referring to the Criminal State and those who take part in it for a living “…live by the sword…” you can add any violent criminal to this list of “living by the sword”.

  • pryrplz

Never read it that way…what was he saying to Peter? Always was taught Peter was the inappropriately impulsive one.

I don’t mind asking cause want to know how people think…

    • Inappropriate, hard to say, those were violent times for sure, not like they were being pulled over for running a red light in small town USA. They were asked if they had swords earlier by Jesus, but was meant for their own protection after Jesus leaves them, Jesus he knew what had to go down who needed to survive (Peter) and had the power to stop the fray, really do you think anyone else would have been able to stop a group of Roman soldiers after having one of their own loose an ear? He meant for Peter to return his sword to his scabbard too, but the jist was towards those who were about to land the next blow. Think of it this way, If he stood by after Peter swacked a guys ear off and said “Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword” The Romans for sure would have gotten dusty with Peter at that point. But that’s not how it was to play out.

      • pryrplz

        eyes-opening. and ears…

  • Remember all law-abiding citizen gun owners: WE are the last line in the defense of liberty. DO NOT COMPLY! DO NOT COMPLY! DO NOT COMPLY! Do not register your guns, do not submit to fingerprinting, do not tell anybody what guns you own. Remember the American Revolution began because the Red Coats were marching to Lexington to SIEZE WEAPONS from the people!

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
I lived in Guatemala from 1948 to 1952. My dad carried a gun while we were living down there. Everybody had to, there was too much violence just after the war.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ‘subjects’. During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED! If you value your freedom, please spread this antigun-control message to all of your friends.

SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN! SWITZERLAND’S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE. SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!! IT’S A NO BRAINER! DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET. Spread the word everywhere you can that you are a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment! It’s time to speak loud before they try to silence and disarm us. You’re not imagining it, history shows that governments always manipulate tragedies to attempt to disarm the people.

    • pryrplz

Time to ask why this simple history and example of Switzerland isn’t on the most watched show, ex. O’Reilly’s, and household knowledge. All I hear on TV is how other countries have fewer guns and less crime.

We will always have more crime for many uniquely American reasons.

But this information is not out there and not even part of the average peron’s conversation.

Somebody here surely can call up Bill.

  • GEDouglas

If I’m not mistaken BO is the executive and responsible for enforcing laws NOT at all responsible for making laws. I believe that is done by legislators in the house and senate. I’m a dummy and know that…why doesn’t JB. Although it seems of late the constitution is not our governing document any longer.

  • davienne

if you bat-crap crazy loons dont want a civil war … you had best leave the 2nd amendment alone…
there are hundreds of gun laws on the books… that we as law abiding gun owners follow..
the criminals dont follow these hundreds of gun laws….
we have our guns to protect ourselves from you .. THE TYRANTS…

    Joe’s bad 5 letter word – GUNS
I’ll bet Obama visits all 52 states to promote his gun agenda.

  • there will be blood! After Obama and his jack booted thugs kill some 10,000 Americans just to get their guns, there will be a large response. I don’t want to be here when that happens.

  • There will be no martial law, Mr. Obama will just pass an banning EO, then allow the local police to do the hard work. The major law suits will then start and will end up at the SCOTUS……it will be a split until Roberts stabs the gun owners in the back and goes with the leftist. Thats when the 2nd civil war will start.
