Hundreds of bikers showed up in Baton Rouge to show their support for law enforcement officials after a madmen targeted them and killed 2 policemen.

Watch below:

From USA Today:

A few bikers and cops became emotional following a law enforcement support ride in which hundreds of motorcyclists honored Baton Rouge area officers for their recent service and sacrifices.

Sgt. Marc DeArmond, a 20-year employee of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, was just one of many whom bikers shook hands with and embraced following the event, which ended at the Baton Rouge Police Department.

“It just feels great that the public is supporting us and that they’re coming together during this trying time for our city,” DeArmond, who is white, said. “It’s a tough time, but everybody is coming together and working hard to make sure that we take care of the community that takes care of us.”

Local motorcycle enthusiast Everett Landry organized the ride as a show of support for law enforcement and a way to honor those officers lost in the recent attacks.

And KSLA:

Hundreds of motorcyclists gathered at All Star Lanes on Airline Hwy. Tuesday evening to show support for area law enforcement officers.

The crowd started out with nearly 100 riders, but quickly grew to include hundreds of bikers, many of whom were wearing black and blue to honor the three fallen law enforcement officers. Nearly every bike was decorated with a blue strip or black and blue flag.

The bikes took off at 6:30 p.m. to ride the short distance to the Baton Rouge Police Department headquarters. The bikers said the distance was short, but the message they were spreading could go a long way.

That’s pretty awesome. I wish more Americans made an effort to show law enforcement that we appreciate their sacrifices on our behalf.
