Bill Maher can be a despicable rat about many issues, but every now and then, like a broken squirrel finding a nut on a clock twice a day, he hits upon what might be the truth.
In this case, he makes the argument that many mass killers are animated by “unrealized adolescent sexuality,” and I have to admit, it’s pretty persuasive.

As a corollary, I offer that many believe that over-medication is partly to blame too. Many of these shooters are later discovered to have been on anti-psychotic medication.
And you have to admit, Maher makes a really good point about how women are covered up in the Middle East. But then we have two extremes – here we’re oversexualized and over there there’s no recognition of the sexual urge at all.
At least he’s not blaming guns for once.
