Bill Maher to raise money for Alabama Democrats

First you must go read Michelle Malkin’s column today: The war on conservative women. It sets a great tone for this article.

To underscore Mark Levin’s point last night, well known misogynist Bill Maher, who called Sarah Palin a “dumb tw*t“, will be raising money for the Democratic Party in Alabama (h/t: National Review):

An Evening with Bill Maher

March 17, 2012 Chairman’s Reception at 7pm

Performance at 8pm

Come join Alabama Democrats at the Von Braun Center Concert Hall in Huntsville for an Evening with Bill Maher. 700 Monroe Street Southwest, Huntsville, AL 35801.

Tickets are $100 and include admission to the pre-event Chairman’s reception and prime seating at the performance.

Paid for by the Alabama Democratic Party. P.O. Box 950. Montgomery, AL 36101. (334) 262-2221. (800) 995-3386.

Ah isn’t that nice. Rush’s comment is worth ginning up a national outrage, boycotting his sponsors and pressuring them to boycott him, and pressuring radio stations to drop him. But when Bill Maher calls Sarah Palin a c*nt and a tw*t, they all just laugh along.

And as a reminder of what Mark Levin pointed out last night, Louis CK is going to be headlining the Radio and TV Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner in June of this year.

Louis C.K. will soon be unleashing his epic rants on the capital crowd. The comedian and star of the FX comedy “Louie” is set to headline the 68th annual Radio & TV Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner June 8 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in DC. Sources say no topic is off-limits at the black-tie event. President Obama attended in 2009 but is not yet confirmed for 2012 affair. Louis may have to flex some uncharted material to win over the DC crowd.

This vile audio is what he is known for where he says the most hateful disgusting things you’ve ever heard about Sarah Palin. It is not bleeped so heed this:

CONTENT WARNING: LANGUAGE

I will condemn the president and any congressional Democrat or Republican who goes to this dinner with this guy headlining it. It is inexcusable for this wretched excuse for a comedian to be the entertainment at a DC event where top congressional leaders as well a the president normally attend.

Where’s Andrew Breitbart when we need him, calling out this deplorable double-standard?

    • keyesforpres

      He’s in heaven.

        Amen.

Pamela Geller says it like no one else can:

“I have had it up to here with Fluke’s vagina. Seriously. Clearly she’s a plant. I don’t have to exalt or honor women who debase and lower themselves to meat status. I will not honor this pig. I will not teach children to debase themselves. I will not teach children that this is “empowerment.””

Someone needs to tape both of these events. This needs to be recorded.

  • Yet Bill Maher is just a comedian, right? Someone cite for me the last time Rush headlined or even attended a GOP fundraiser.

    • Sober_Thinking

      Great point.

    • Watchman74

Comedians are funny, Bill Maher is not.

  • Sober_Thinking

Bill Maher is just another in a long line of classless, clueless, disgusting clowns who thinks they are better than everyone else. And as long as the media gives them a pass… it’s open season on conservatives and Christians. This should come as no surprise…

However, as long as we stand together, united against this sort of vile hatred and senseless ignorance, we have a chance to root these scumbags out and expose then fix the media enablers. We outnumber them!!!

These people have such class. Reminds me of the interview ESPN gave to Mike Tyson.

I’m surprised ABC ran a column listing many of the nasty things libs say about conservatives. I’m also surprised that a CNN reporter confronted Obama about it…..in which he punted. He was so concerned about Rush’s comments, yet he had nothing to say about the leftist comments. It’s not his job, he said. The CNN reporter called him on it. She said “you talk about civility”.

Right on. I am totally shocked that either CNN or ABC are mentioned anything at all about the comments coming from the left.

We all need to be Andrew Breitbart now.

Limbaugh is getting democrat sanctioned death threats: http://twitchy.com/2012/03/07/limbaugh-gets-death-threats/

Louis C.K., Opie and Anthony, Bill Maher and their counterparts, I just figured out what they are. The’re little kids in the schoolyard, about 4th, 5th, 6th grade level that think they are being funny by picking on other kids using such words and phrases as “he’s got cooties” or “he smells” or “she’s a four eyes with freckles”. One thing is certain, they never mock another kid unless there in a group of equally immature bullies.

Most kids will grow up and mature and see the meanness and hurt they have caused and recognized that the only people that were really made to look foolish were themselves.

Unfortunately there is also a segment that never do grow up and mature and continue, all their lives, to act in the same manner. Their vocabulary expands and their mean concepts grow grotesquely but they never do mature, they only become meaner and meaner and still they rely on an audience to laugh along with them as a sign of their superiority.

At the end of the day the only thing they leave behind is a wake of hurt feelings in those they mock and disgust towards themselves.

If I lived in AL, I’d go just to tape it.

  • K-Bob

This is exactly the kind of “I can be a slimeball but you can’t” nonsense that got Breitbart so motivated. He always said it started with the attacks on Clarence Thomas, but I’m guessing he saw a lot of it before and just held himself in check.

We don’t have to tolerate bad behavior. We only have to tolerate other people’s beliefs. They can say what they want, but from now on, they need to receive an earful in return.

  • anneinarkansas

It is hard for me to grasp the idea that Alabama has enough left wingers to attend a fund-raiser by Pig Maher….will someone purchase their tickets for them?

  • Guest1776rcp

Bill Maher did too many drugs in “the sixties” but now his brain is so fried he can handle any temperature.

  • Watchman74

Bill Maher is just a D-bag. Here’s a guy who for Halloween dressed in a Steve Irwin costume with a stinger poking out his chest.

  • Alborn

Maybe they will let Amy Bishop out to attend and she can share some of her lead rage with good old Bill. Amy of course is the intellectual elite that killed her fellow professors when she was not granted tenure. Maher is an example of what a lack of morality creates in society. Vile.

To see the opposite of Maher check out I–have–a–say.blogspot.com if you haven’t already. Share it with your friends. We are all Catholics now. Christians it is time to stand up and speak out.

  • JerrymB

When Bill Maher tore into Tim Tebow’s character and Christian behavior, it became evident just what kind of demon’s have been set loose on the world in these last days.

  • p m

Ha! Now Maher has defended Rush on twitter:

“Hate to defend #RushLimbaugh but he apologized, liberals looking bad not accepting,” Maher tweeted. “Also hate intimidation by sponsor pullout.”

Must be afraid of losing his HBO gig now the cat’s out of the bag and he’s getting uncomfortabla with his own vetting, per the sponsor reference.

Good – he should be discomfited and fired and never heard from again.

  • mike morrison

People act like this is the first time they’ve ever heard this kind of language towards conservative women…I hear it ALL THE TIME. These guys are just brave enough to say it without fear of any consequences.

    • Jack Kelly

Mike you must be joking. You think this is ‘brave’? Why? Jocks have been ‘getting away’ with this kind of phone bravery since the seventies. Yeah, it’s real cutting edge stuff.

  • abigail42

I read Michelle’s column. I don’t think anything that the women have been called is right, justified blah blah. What I do believe is that when women decided they wanted to enter the arena they got more than they bargained for. Rush should never have said what he did only because of the position he’s in not because he was disrepectful to that woman who put herself in the position to be called a slut. When you tell the country about your sex life – oh well – I’m supposed to respect you – NOT. I was unware of Maher calling Sarah a c—. Where the hell was her husband. Have these women so neutered men that standing up for your wife is unexceptable. Carol Burnett proved that being a public person does not give anyone the right to say whatever they want. If Michelle, Sarah whoever don’t want to confront, file suit, punch em in the nose, then I’m confused why I should give a hoot. I’m sure what I’ve said won’t be popular but I’m just an old southern girl who’s husband would (and has) get in your face if you mess with his wife. I’m still fuming about Todd Palin HOW could he allow some slime to say such a thing with no consequences? And this gutless man is who would be first husband HA!

  • Jay

I certainly hope that Maher unsures the local KKK gets their fair share.

  • Dodoforever Canspell

These people are drunk on hatred. Disgusting.

  • jondos

Come on, this is patty cake psych stuff. Tear others down who make YOU feel like crap about yourself. Who would talk about someone’s child like that? Well, someone who knows they would have aborted a “special” child like Sarah Palin’s son. And when they see others who are willing to take on the challenges it entails, they feel small and worthless. So the obvious remedy would be to make Sarah Palin out to be the degenerate, who KEEPS the child. This makes you feel sure and powerful. Hey, looking in the mirror is a nasty business. You see all of you insecurities and you lash out, like the play yard bully. This is really quite immature and adolescent behavior, yet, unfortunately, predictable.
