I must admit I’m pleasantly surprised that BillO came down on the side of the CIA with regard to the partisan Senate ‘torture’ report. He explains why in his talking points memo and also interviews John Yoo who served as legal counsel to the enhanced interrogation technique. Yoo explains the thinking behind the EI program and why it was necessary to protect Americans.
