Bob Woodward: I never called it a threat, but it’s still not the proper way to operate

Bob Woodward says that he never called the language in the email a threat against him, but he does believe it was an improper way for the White House Economic Czar, Gene Sperling, to operate, especially considering they are in a position of power.

Here’s the interview:

Earlier today I suggested that Woodward might have egg on his face if the emails from Politico were all there was. But I have to say I’ve changed my mind throughout the day. I think Woodward is right, that this was improper considering the fact that Woodward was exposing the administration for changing positions and then lying about it, and he had the truth on his side. For Sperling to suggest that he would regret telling the truth, essentially, was indeed improper and pretty much a threat in my book.
