John Bolton released a statement this morning, confirming Trump’s late-night threat to Iran on Twitter:

The White House just issued this statement from John Bolton. “I spoke to the President over the last several days, and President Trump told me that if Iran does anything at all to the negative, they will pay a price like few countries have ever paid before.”

What exactly does “anything at all to the negative” mean? Doesn’t that sound a bit too general?
If we are to include what Trump warned last night, it could be as simple as a threat:
To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!

Iran threatens us and other countries all the time. I doubt seriously we’d bomb them over a threat.
But I guess we’ll see.
