Bolton: If US was shipping weapons from Libyan rebels to Syrian rebels, I’m outraged

John Bolton said last night that there has been speculation that we were buying up post-Gaddafi weapons from the Libyan rebels and sending them to the Syrian opposition rebels and if that turns out to be true, he said he’s outraged that we would be putting serious weapons in the hands of terrorists.

He also finds it to be outrageous that the Tunisian captured in Turkey that participated in the 9/11 Benghazi attacks is being protected by Tunisia and won’t allow us to even interrogate him. He said he’d begin to cut our foreign aid to them until they began to be more compliant.

Gee whiz, that’s nice… and so? Join the crowd. We are all outraged.

  • theresaaa

Wouldn’t Bolton make a great Sec. of State for Romney ?

    • With Allen West as Secretary of Defense! WINNING!!!

      • theresaaa

Yes !! My choice also ! Palan for Sec. of Energy ! (“Drill , baby , Drill”) 😉

        • No Sarah Palin. There are far more qualified individuals for that position (not to say she isn’t qualified, but she is NOT the best person for the job AND she is a political lightning-rod)

          • colliemum

So who would be a ‘better person’ for this job? Is there someone with an even better track record of how to deal with the big energy conglomerates, someone who is not for sale, like Sarah Palin?
            Name names, please.

And she’s ‘a political lightning rod’ – for whom?
The corrupt media, the Beltway denizens, the lefties in NY, the laydees on The View – that’s who!

I think the time is well past that we keep cowering before their vile, vituperative attempts to influence our views as to a person’s worth and expertise.

            • So you think Sarah Palin is THE ONLY and BEST qualified person for the job? REALLY?!? Because if your answer is no, then kindly take a step back and watch that tone…

              • colliemum

I asked you – so kindly answer my question.

Also, since you’re on about my ‘tone’ (?????) – don’t shout!

                • My capitals aren’t shouting…they are simply emphasizing (I hate text speak, because it’s impossible to emphasize certain words like I do in speech, so I capitalize them and then people think I’m shouting. I am not, so I apologize if you thought I did).

As far as an answer to your question, I can’t name anyone because I am not familiar with that world. But to put a POLITICIAN (again, I am just EMPHASIZING the word, not shouting) in charge of DoE rather than an actual engineer/marketing consultant/accountant/etc. that is integrated to, and familiar with, the world of Energy and makes their living in it seems to be rather retarded to me. Bueauracrats are THE PROBLEM, not the solution…we want the actual PLAYERS of the Energy World in leadership positions, not politicians.

So again, I cannot answer your question because I am not in that world. But I am not naive enough to believe that just because she was Governor of a major oil-producing state does not make her an expert in the field of Energy Production, and should not be in charge of such.

                • westernhunter

She was more then just a Governor. Look up her oil & gas experience.

            • Amjean

Excellent way of stating what should be obvious to all of us by now.

          • sDee

All she would have to do is shut it down. DeptofErgy is one of the most degenerate and corrupt depts up there in DC. Worthless as well. So Sarah is ultimately qualified to clean house and, being a lighting rod would be a plus 😉

I believe West and Palin are leaders, and not bureaucrat material anyway. Besides Romney did not get this far taking bold risks or threatening the political establishment.

          • Bruce Smith

Yes she would make a much better president than Mittens. That’s why I wrote her on on my ballot last week. Go Sarah!

            • SoLongSong

              That’s a shame, Bruce – IMHO.

            • Ford Prefect

So you voted for Barry then. Swell.

            • WHY would you do such a thing? No matter how much we love her and think she would be better at just about ANYTHING, what you did was practically treasonous.
That right in was a vote for Obama. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING????

            • vinny

What a wasted vote…..thanks for voting for 4 more years of Barack!

          • Amjean

You don’t know what you are talking about.

            • Oh…well I’ll be sure to take your thoughts into consideration…

    • Mike Florey

Unqualified YES. Doesn’t mince words, doesn’t tap-dance around the issues. He has always impressed me as being the Real Deal.

    • dagrimwood

No he wouldn’t. He’s too passive and always thinks too good of the bad guys and that they wouldn’t do anything as outrageous as the things they do. He thinks that the Obama administration wants to do the right thing. He doesn’t understand how evil they are.

    • Newt for Press Secretary. He would eat the press.

      • Amjean

That would be so much fun; he could play with the media like no other while
giving them the education they sorely need.

  • MiketheMarine

My outrage would be suppressed some after we fire a few dozen cruise missiles, which would also boost the economy.

  • denbren52

Cut off aid to any country that allows al Qaeda or any other terrorist group to operate within their borders.

  • Linky1

Beck was all over this back in September, right after the attacks. The closer to the election it gets, the more this stuff should be exposed on an hourly basis, if necessary.

    • I do believe it was Beck that broke this story originally.

      • SoLongSong

And here I was, secretly thinking he was being tin-foil-hatty. Yet the more I find out, the more right he becomes.

That’s the thing with Obama. You almost can’t be tin-foil-hatty enough. He never – for the lack of a better word – disappoints.

        • True!

        • Patriot077

That Glenn starts talking about stuff long before it happens is what gives people the idea he’s wacky.

He is careful about researching as much as anything can be researched and is typically correct on the facts though he may not get the specific timing or rationale exactly right.

Too much of what he has predicted has come to pass over time for me to ignore his warnings. Considering his loss of privacy and the risks to his family, I don’t think he would continue to do it if he wasn’t being guided by our Creator.

      • Linky1

Beck got no credit for it and again, was laughed at. Come to think of it, so was I, as I passed the story on. This is one time I would really like to not have to say “Told you so’ to non-believers who see the story at another news source.

        • The problem is sometimes Beck does tend to come off a tad tin foil hatty but not everyone thinks he is on every issue, myself included. When I first heard this it just made sense and it fits the modus operandi of Obama and Chicago politicians and really the left in general. rules are for the little people in their minds.

  • Kevin Alan Norman

What is up with Tunisia? Are they our friend or is thois just a rendition made to look antagonistic? Where is the rest of the press on this? Oh yeah, navel gazing again.

    • mike3e4r7

They are Obama’s friend, not ours.

  • LeonidasOfSparta1957

Thank you, John Bolton! Keep up the pressure. What a disgrace to the SEALs and their families–nay to the whole family of “first responders” who have to hear the newest POTUS ad which emphasizes– “We leave no person behind.” If his lips are moving he’s lying. Period.

  • I never want to hear another word about Iran Contra out of the left ever again.

Withholding foreign aid to several Islamic countries is a great idea that I hope Romney will take up. In the most absurd upsidedown logic ever, over the last few decades (including Bush) America finds itself in the servant position. For some inexplicable reason, we are obsequiously begging foreign nations to please let us pay them.

Initially this was because of kickbacks and money laundering. Politicians would give [x] million to some country with the full knowledge that a percentage of the money would be funneled indirectly back to them or to their cronies. But lately, the Islamic countries have become so arrogant that they are refusing even to pay the cut back. And the politicians are still begging to pay them. Why? What do get from it except more terrorism?

Even the corrupt politicians are no longer getting paid. America is getting nothing but chaos and death in return for it’s foreign aid. The U.N. and foreign aid can go to hell. We have enough to deal with in our own country.

  • Boris_Badenoff

I really am looking forward to President Romney’s selections to his cabinet.

I think it will be a very interesting process to see the people Romney chooses to fill his cabinet.

Might be a bit different than what most have done in the past. We will see.

John Bolton would be a very good SOS appointment. (imo) An obvious choice but not sure Mitt would see things as I do…

It will be an interesting time.

    • Amjean

We will see if Mitt Romney has the strength of character to put the right person
in at each position, or if he wants “brown nosers”. I read that Paul Ryan was named an
“ass ki$$er” I believe in high school or college.

If we find out that the people he puts in place worked on his campaign, or were
      big donors, we will know.

I am hoping that Romney is a workaholic, more concerned about getting the job
done than paying back supporters or contributors.

  • Seems like every day brings out more news about Libya. We’re running out of time before the election, so I don’t know how much more will come out before Election Day. But I think there is enough information out there for voters to know that something went very wrong on 9/11/2012 in Benghazi and that the White House isn’t coming clean about it. It WILL come out, eventually, but not in time for the election. I just hope the full truth comes out eventually because we need to give some measure of justice to the men who died that night and to their families. It’s the right thing to do, the American thing to do.

    • SoLongSong

My hope is that in today’s world, six days can be an ETERNITY. This stinker might just blow up in Obama’s face yet.

      • Praying for it night and day. God has a way of turning events in ways we would not think possible. PLS pray along with the multitude of others I know are as well.

  • Boris_Badenoff

I am also very hopeful that President Romney will take a thorough look at all this foreign aid we give away and cut back on it severely.

I am pretty tired of millions and billions of American dollars being given to regimes that basically hate our guts. Foreign aid might not be the biggest expenditures in the current budget but it is significant. A part of the problem.

Let’s get the deficit under control and look at making life better for Americans first.

    America First… yes.

    • Psyphurr Lock

Then lets start with the UN and cut off their funding. Perfect way to start. Followed by booting their assez out of the U.S. Let someone else pay for their anti-US hate speaches and programs.

  • colliemum

John Bolton is right when he mentions the tax payers’ $$ given to those countries.

I’d go even further: just stop all financial aid to all the muslim countries. Let them show that they deserve to get money from us. Let the rich oil sheiks pay for them. a welcome side effect of that would be that they won’t have enough money left over to build mosques in our countries and “support” our home-grown would-be jihadists with funds to travel to al qaida camps, where they can learn how to blow us up.

    • These “would be” jhadists are already here. We have many sleeper cells. At least 3 in Michigan alone.

  • Spartan4Palin

I find this extremely interesting! There are more dots to connect to this Benghazi deal that are being overlooked?

All this reported by Canada Free Press.

  • Watchman74

Unfortunately Mitt Romney also thinks it’s a good idea to arm the Syrian rebels.

  • tdaly

Well hey John, thats probably what happened. Stevens was trying to get the weapons back that the government gave them in the first place.

  • tularockstar

This is what Glen Beck has been saying for over a month now. This entire Libya tragedy was Fast and Furious II, in which Oblamer sent Chris Stevens to Libya to broker the deal. Then, Al Quada found out and took the opportunity to kill him. But, if anyone puts two and two together, the entire scandal and cover-up make sense. Why would Obama and Hillary go to great lengths to cover this up and blame it on a video? Redirection! As long as people believe in the cover up story, no one will ask any questions about the arms deal.

    • Boris_Badenoff

Crap, I have missed this scenario, thanks for the info..

    • Wisewoman2

I still think the video story was a cover up for the appalling fact that even though they were watching events in real time, they did nothing while 4 people died. You can’t justify that under any circumstances, thus the video cover story and coverup. That is the only simple explanation that does not require a whole new scenario and it fits the situation perfectly.

  • sjmom

Okay, now it makes sense. The US was or is selling weapons to the Syrian rebels and Russia has corroborated this by saying they have found US weapons in Syria as per Glenn Beck. The reason we haven’t been able to get our hands on this “guy” in Tunisia is because the administration does not want to get him. He could spill the beans and everyone would know what the administration has done. Guess this is why Bennghazi gate has now been classified Top Secret (

John Bolton better prepare himself because outrage won’t be a strong enough word when the truth comes out on this one.

    • C. Cargo

Get real. America is the biggest arms dealer in the world. What country doesn’t have weapons from us? And if were not selling them directly then traders such as “the guy in Tunisia” will do it for us. And Bolton is just as guilty as any of them. Who do you think sold Saddam Hussein all of his “WMD’s”? Those were American weapons.

      • sjmom

These were not sold to “countries” but to terrorists like AlQaeda. So, let’s be real; our govt is selling weapons to those who want to kill us. Is that real enough for you?

        • C. Cargo

So what’s your point? Al Queda leaders met with Reagan in the Oval Office. He shook their hands, he called them the founding fathers of their nation, comparing them to Washington and Jefferson. And then he sold them tons of military hardware that they used against the Soviets. When the Soviets were defeated they kept the weapons and now use them against us. Are you really surprised? Cheese and rice, how do you think the USA makes its bread and butter money? We sell arms to everyone.

          • sjmom

The point is AlQaeda killed 3000 Americans on 9/11/01.

The point is AlQaeda and the jihadists are our enemies.

The point is 4 Americans are dead because the Obama administration refused to do anything and then lied and is lying to cover their tracks.

The point is the world is a much different place than when Reagan was president because these fools are not a nation but a group of murderering thugs who are trying to kill all of us.

The point is you keep trying to place blame on everyone but the Obama administration.

The point is this is 2012 not 1980 even though the election results could well be the same.

The point is we need another president and a new administration who knows and understands the world we live in.

The point is if you did not understand my point then you don’t understand either.

            • C. Cargo

Well, you are just all over the place and you could not be more wrong. But, that is why you consider yourself to be a conservative, because you just don’t get it. Bush led the charge into Iraq and cost the lives of tens of thousands. Not Obama. Bush destroyed the constitution, not Obama. Bush lied us into two wars, not Obama. Bush destroyed the economy, not Obama. Obama is doing his best to clean up the mess that the policies that you support caused. Fortunately, he will have four more years to work on it and then either Hillary Clinton or Biden will take over. Good luck coming up with a candidate for 2024.

              • sjmom

Drink your Kool Aid and buy some extra tissues because you will need them next Tues when Romney/Ryan win.

  • kong1967

Passivity of the President? I don’t think that’s it at all. This is much worse. He’t not a typical “I don’t know what to do” Democrat. He has a lot to hide and he will do anything to avoid the truth getting out. What he’s doing is cold and calculated, not indecisive or misguided. It’s intentional.

    • MiketheMarine

Following Saul Alinsky’s plan to the blasted LETTER. Yep….

  • Spartan4Palin

I also have to point out this today that I came across!! The other thing that might happen is that the WH is planning to clamp down on whistleblowers. And that they are working hard to make everything from here on out Top Secret!!

  • I think : Hillary gave ultimate unforgiveable insult to Gadaffi at time of his death. His supporters were pissed – no woman can say “we came we saw he died, ha ha” – Blood for blood, head for head – Hillary had to make a deal–Stevens was there with anti-Gadaffi but to trade he had to be important – she made him ambassador – sent to Libya as a scapegoat and to satisfy their anger + made gun deal from Libyan Gadaffi supporters to supply Syria. She refused security, refused call & plea for help. Doherty & Wood were told to stand down – No help was dispatched because she & Obama used Stevens as a scapegoat and had someone translate Muslim video to simul release with Egypt protest . Plan was to blame Muslim video. Doherty & Woods had to die for interfering with plot.Hillary & Obama conspired to commit murder of Stevens but cov erup didnt work. Then before debate, Hillary took blame but not real blame. Obama then took blame, but not real blame.Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar type of blame! This is to stall any investigation til after election. He has to win so he can continue cover-up and proceed with his agenda to reduce footprint of America on world & punish America for colonialism!~ Obama can not tell truth or he would lose election & be subject to treason & conspiracy to commit murder in Benghazi~

    • kong1967

I agree with almost everything you said, but I believe the evidence is showing that Hillary requested more security and was denied. She also requested that we send in forces to squash the attack, but she was denied. I think this is all on Obama as far as the attack goes. The lies and cover-up….she’s guilty as charged.

I also don’t believe Obama will face any kind of charges. Republicans have gone wimpy on following through with things like this. Obama has circumvented the law and Congress on more than one occasion and they did nothing, even though Obama abused his power. I want Obama charged, but I don’t see it happening. Maybe because the Republicans don’t want to start a merry-go-round of libs turning around and trumping up false charges against a conservative President (when they’re able) just in retaliation. Who knows.

Should Obama be impeached and charged for treason? Yes.

      • Amjean

Hillary and Bill’s lawyers put out the “trial balloon” that Hillary had nothing to
do with anything. That doesn’t make it fact.

        • kong1967

Yes, I know. I’m just going off reports. We will learn all the facts sooner or later.

However, reporters were talking about this evidence even as Hillary was falling on the sword before the latest “innocent” claims came out.

  • C. Cargo

Oh, please. And tell me Mr. Bolton, were you just as outraged when you and Rumsfeld and Reagan sold all of those weapons to Saddam Hussein? What a twit.

Update from Afghanistan: Where Obama has sent America to die:

“Afghanistan: In October 2001, we destroyed Mullah Omar’s mosque in Sangesar Village, down in Kandahar Province. His second of three wives, Guljana, was from this village. His family lived there. This tiny mosque literally was the birthplace of the Taliban.

Under President Obama, ten years later in 2011, US troops renovated Mullah Omar’s mosque in Sangesar. First we bombed it in 2001. Then we fixed it in 2011. This remains one of the most dangerous areas of Afghanistan.”—Michael Yon
