BOLTON: The handwriting is on the wall for Obama’s strategy to defeat ISIS

John Bolton is careful not to suggest that British hostage John Cantlie is anything other than a hostage. But based on the last video that he and the Islamic State have produced, it does appear, according to Bolton, that ISIS feels they now has an effective spokesperson. And when it comes to the message of the video, that Kobani basically belongs to ISIS at this point, Bolton calls it nothing more than a piece of propaganda.

But when it comes to Obama’s war against ISIS, Bolton believes the handwriting is on the wall. He accepts the Washington Post’s conclusion that Obama’s strategy against ISIS is unwinnable and says that was entirely predictable from the beginning. But what he finds most troubling is that the implications of ISIS not being defeated, meaning they will form their own terrorist state right in the middle of Syria and Iraq. Bolton says if you didn’t like the Taliban controlling Afghanistan, wait until ISIS gets full control of their own territory.
