BOOM! I’ve figured out how to make Romney get ruthless and really go after Obama

It’s the only way I know to make Romney get fierce like he was in the primaries:

  • WhiteGuy2

LOL,…. yea just pretend Obama is a WhiteGuy2.

    • Zaphenath_Paneah_II

Boya!! Now that’s how to do it! Happy to take lessons bro.

  • wodiej

Conservatives could have had Newt but he wasn’t as pure to them as Rick Santorum so the vote was split.

    • wodiej your post was like listening to the quarterback from years past relive his glory days. It is amusing, but not helpful.

    • bornfreeamerican

I miss Newt…Romney would do good listening to him. I wish he would get together w/Newt. We need someone like Newt to help us maneuver this mess.

    • Learnedsmtn2day

Or rather vice versa since Rick had the lions share of the votes and Newt had difficulty coming to terms with the fact that he was not getting the votes.
But I guess that’s all water under the bridge, it just bugs me that people still want the guy.

  • AbdulBX

This made me laugh for the first time today. LOL

  • lol Scoop, that quacked me up. I needed that. Thanks 😀

  • WI4Walker

No kidding. Newt should be his practice guy for the debates.

  • nibblesyble

I love you Scoop! So Awesome!

  • Well…just was told in my fundraiser email from Mitt that he will be in PENNSYLVANIA TOMORROW for an EVENT outside of Philadelphia….in Wayne, PA….now that is an interesting turn of events….Mitt campaigning at Rally tomorrow in Wayne, PA…..hmmmm

    • Orangeone

Can you offer us more on what that is an interesting turn of events? What’s up with Wayne PA?

  • No, that’s how to make Romney look like a nutjob

  • HAHAHAHA!!!!

  • williamm

NFL Replacement Ref Highlight Reel – CONAN on TBS

    • That was great! LOL! 🙂

      • Is_Sense_Common

Wolfie, quit changin’ your name! We <3 you just the way you are, regardless of your name!! Some of us have had about as much change as we can take!! (lol!)

        • Erm… So you HOPE I won’t CHANGE it again? LOL! OK, But it’s the final name change I intend to make. 🙂

  • sjmom

Maybe, we could have Newt in the background talking to Romney by a hidden earphone. I hope Romney gets some chutzpah by next Wed.

  • Ras…Mitt preferred 43/34 on the Economy over Obama today….up two in Ras…hmmm….

Early Voting/Absentee 2012…Mitt is up in Ohio, Florida, Colorado, North Carolina and South Dakota….hmmm.

Secretary of State…GOP registrations up in Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Penn, North Carolina and Colorado in fact GOP has overtaken Dems in Iowa in Reg…All the states I just mentioned..DEM REG IS DOWN!

    • Joe

I like your numbers in early voting

Are you just using Voter Registrations?

      • No Joe…these are actual early/absentee counts (reported on Rush and NRO)….the Registrations are pulled from the various states’ Secretary of State pages…..I investigated after I read a report over with Jim Geraghty and I wanted to confirm his numbers….!!

    • marketcomp

Micheal that the best news I have heard today only if it’s a moment in time. Thanks for sharing1

      • Well Rush reported this yesterday but he say again very very early and who knows voting moves forward what it means….Jim Geraghty over at NRO said the same….even Erickson (who I do not like at all mentioned Mitt up in early voting).

Most welcome I check so many things all times…I have cross hits that feed my info desire like crazy while I work on patient reports. It is relaxing at times….LOL!

  • I just got a robo call from dear leader, someone doing a poll. They asked me if the election was held tomorrow, who would I vote for. I said Mitt Romney. They said, thank you. What is your gender? I said, a woman (do I sound like a guy?!) They said thank you. Then they said, thank you and hung up.
I almost feel like I got to vote.

    • nibblesyble

    • stage9

LOL! If you had said you were a transvestite, you probably would’ve been asked more questions.

      • ROLF! I wasn’t thinking transvestite, but I was thinking along the same lines stage9!

    • Just a reminder: Voting is open for all on November 4th so be sure to get to those polls!

What? Of course the election starts on November 4th, Moochelle said so! Why would a first lady who’s finally proud of her country get that wrong?? ;P

      • LOL! I guess voting starts Nov. 4 in all 57 states, including that Asian state of Hawaii.

        • I here they are allowing New Mexico to vote in our elections.

The nerve! I think our elections ought to be for Americans.

    • tinker_thinker

      LOL! Good one!

    • Orangeone

And I’m sure it was recorded as a female conservative voting for O’Bambi in their results.

  • I *BELIEVE* Newt was on Hannity when he said he’s been helping Team Romney since the suspension of his own campaign.

I think, well, I actually HOPE, we’re all underestimating Romney. I think he’s going to knock Obama senseless in the upcoming debate.

    Why do I think this?

Because, unlike the “Maverick” – who was a poor debater, running against Hope & Change – Romney is actually an accomplished debater (thank you Senator Santorum and Speaker Gingrich!) who can run against Obama’s miserable record.

And I don’t think a person like Romney – who apparently has a habit of being the winner when he puts his mind to something – is going to go down without a fight.

Perhaps we’d like him to fight the way Newt does (perhaps he WILL on occasion – if Newt is indeed involved in helping him). Perhaps we wish he were as passionate and blatant as Mark Levin; but Romney can only be true to himself. And at the end of the day, I think that when Romney is squeezed, he won’t fold, he’ll focus. And that is what it will take to win the debates.

Maybe I am dreaming. I dunno. I just don’t feel as “scared” of Romney (as far as how he’s running his campaign, or how he’ll perform in the debates) as some people. And I’m not an optimist by nature!

Hey, who’s looking forward to the comedy that will be the VP debate??!! LOLOL

    • RosiesSeeingRed

I agree Carmen. And as I said on another thread to someone else, at the end of the day, even with the majority of news stations in the tank for Obama, and a ruthless campaign on his part to boot, Romney STILL ties or beats him in any poll that has the more likely turnout applied to it. In other words, Obama isn’t doing so well — so why do we keep falling for the MSM’s intentional spin on this? We KNOW BETTER.

    • StrangernFiction

Mitt Romney knock Obama senseless? You are definitely dreaming.

  • stage9

    LOL! Now THAT was funny!

  • Well done! Romney had no trouble at all ‘assassinating’ the character of the better candidate.

    • stage9

I kept clicking on the picture thinking a boxing glove was going to fly out and punch Newt’s face like one of those margin ads! lol.

  • sDee

    Nice TRS!

  • 4Hoppes2

I just finished the book No Easy Day, about half way through the book I knew exactly why the Dept. of State would try and find reason to investigate Mark Owen. He didn’t give away any secret tactics or weapons, he told the truth about the RoE. It takes as many white collar, wing tipped shoe wearing, pocket protected, PowerPoint presenters to approve and model an operation (or more) as assaulters carrying out their missions. I just have so much high regard for these guys and our military and the sacrifices they make I can’t put it into words.

    • I can’t remember where I read it, but a milblogger wrote that half of general staff was there to do Powerpoint presentations.

    • AMJSunshine

4hoppes2, maybe I missed it in your comment but, what’s RoE?

& yes, God bless our military & intelligence for all of their sacrifices to keep this great nation safe. A huge, “Thank You” to them!

      • 4Hoppes2

RoE = Rules of Engagement. If you have any friends, or served in the military, you know one of the things the military loves is coming up with some of the most esoteric acronyms, and speaking in a vernacular riddled with abbreviations.

        • AMJSunshine

My reply was posted in wrong spot
You can read it as it’s above your reply
TY for answering my ? so quickly

      • AMJSunshine

Yes, proud daughter of a US Army MP Disabled Vet, proud niece of US Marine Dis Vet, proud great niece of MANY great uncles who served proudly in US military – Navy, Marines, Army & proud cousin of many vets.

It was in the wee hours, well aft midnight, when I read your comment so my brain wasn’t connecting the dots correctly 😉

Again, God Bless the USA & all of our brave military & intelligence people.

    Good one Scoop!

  • Americans for Prosperity and Romney both running brutal ads on the Radio here during Rush Commercials against Obama….started a day ago….50,000 Watt radio station here in Central Florida….WFLA….I guess Romney does not want people in interviews to know he is running these ads….kinda of funny…..I am sure many of my fellow Right Scoop viewers would like hearing these ads….these were the type that ran during the primary against Newt..tough and to the point!!…They are on Radio but boy every ten to 15 minutes one or the other is running.

    • Curious. Wouldn’t running that kind of commercial during Rush be preaching to the choir?? I’m just “thinking out loud” – I know FL is a swing state, but how many fence-sitters are listening to El Rushbo?

I TOTALLY admit I could be missing something here (from a strategic point).

      • stage9

I was thinking the SAME thing….

        • Perhaps he’s field testing the commercials to see what, if any, reaction he gets from the Conservative Rush listeners. Otherwise, I’m thinking the same thing as you and Carmen P

      • MiketheMarine

Maybe they will hit that channel accidentally at just the right 10 or 15 minute interval, plus all the money spent is an economic stimulus.

I agree that there aren’t any conscious fence riders at this point. I just don’t believe anyone could be that confused and still walk and talk and breathe.

      • It could be…but people need to remember Rush has a very large INDEPENDENT following…people think it is only conservatives and it is not…he has alot of dems as well…I think it is his demographics plus remember Mitt wants Conservatives jazzed do the Superpacs….they ran them against NEWT who was the Conservative and Mitt was the moderate all the time during the primary on Rush’s show!

        • Also not sure if the campaign determines the exact time. But on 540 FLA in Orlando at 1200PM…RUSH has the LARGEST RADIO AUDIENCE in the Central Florida area. It would make sense to advertise when you have the LARGEST AUDIENCE in the most important part of the State…You Win Central Florida….you win Floirda.

        • tinker_thinker

I couldn’t help laughing, thinking of the ‘stop rush’ gang who are hanging on every word and listening for the commercials:o)

        • AMJSunshine

I’m conservative, Rep. & MAINLY watch & listen to Fox News.

However, every so often, if Fox News has a repeat of a story or something not very interesting to me, I turn the channel or station to CNN &/or Bloomberg News, respectively, JUST to see how much of the story they’re spinning or getting wrong.

I just watched a CNN host cut off a Bush former advisor as he started to criticize PObama’s foreign & domestic policies.

  • deTocqueville1

  • Zaphenath_Paneah_II

LOL. I actually opened this thread thinking it was going to be something serious that Rush; Levin et al had missed and Scoop had caught on to. Good one though.

    • RosiesSeeingRed

      Same here!

      • 4Hoppes2

        And here.

    • Linky1

      I just love it…….

    • Well, it’s funny, but it’s also totally true, so it’s a real strategery that Team Mitt ought to consider. I mean, he’s had Rob Portman playing Obama in practice debates.

He needs to have Newt playing Obama, at least once.

  • This is true and sad all at once. We NEWT supporters tried to tell people that Romney would be a whimp. Would you listen? Nope. Are you regretful now? Not enough. Are you ashamed of yourselves? You should be.
Everyone of you who supported Little Ricky Sanctimonious SweaterVest Santorum in his bid to split the conservative vote to protect Romney, by plagerizing Newt’s talking points, can thank yourselves for the Romney nomination.
Everyone of you who supported a non serious candidate in Ron Paul and his non-vetting of Romney and attacks on Newt are also personally responsible for this.
Pat yourselves on the backs now, and don’t you DARE push for a third party, Obama must be evicted, even if we have to accept what you produced begrudgingly, this little trip through hell has to be done and over.

    • Galatiansch2vs20

This is uncalled for, and not helpful, Oil_Ranger.

Santorum had his own campaign and his own plan for America, worked extremely hard to become the nominee and to defeat Romney, and won eleven contests with less money than Romney. There was a great deal of enthusiasm for Santorum’s message out there and he did very well.

But Romney is the candidate now, the election is still coming up, and playing the blame game about how he became the candidate and speaking condescendingly to people who did not support Gingrich’s candidacy is not going to help anything.

      • 3boojums

agree. i’ve already got my clothes pin ready for 6 Nov. it has to be Mr Rogers

        • Galatiansch2vs20

Clothes pin ready for the nose, eh? :0)

I think Romney’s a bit more like a Jekyll and Hyde sort though, don’t you?

    • A lot of us feel that way, but we’re focusing on getting rid of the SCOAMF.

There will be time for recriminations later. I’ll see to it personally, if I have to!

      • I wasn’t against Santorum, though. I supported any and every conservative who would stay in the race. A lot of folks did not do that. THAT’S why Romney.

  • Netanyahu tells it like it is to Iran during his speech at the UN Assembly. Booyah!! This is why I like this guy 😀

    • stage9

Oh cool, I’ve been waiting to see this.

      Bummer, I get a 404 error!

      • stage9

Netanyahu: ‘We will never be uprooted again’

“Throughout our history the Jewish people have overcome all the tyrants who sought our destruction,” he said. “The Jewish people have come home. We will never be uprooted again.”

He is quoting the Bible here…

“I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God.” Amos 9:15

(I can’t believe they would use THAT picture of him doing a Hitler greeting)

        • Well, okay! I see you found it yourself without my help, lol

        • I think PM Netanyahu thought he was quoting the Torah.

          (just quibbling.)

          • stage9

But Jesus took the Torah and made it better. Ha! 😉

      • Damn, I guess they took it down! Well, I found this:

which pretty much sums up with what he said 🙂

        • 4Hoppes2

          Much appreciated.

    • kong1967

I agree that there should be a clear red line, but I don’t necessarily agree that it will force Iran to back down…especially with Obama in office. Iran will test the line, and if they do we have to show them we mean business and we were serious.

      • Of course they won’t. They are determined to follow the word of Allah and slaughter those who oppose him. It’s what they lived for. And you know very well Obama’s not going to show them “who’s boss” when all he wants to do is become “friends with the bully”. I hope and pray Isreal can hold out until after Romney’s IN the oval office to get our full support, but I fear Iran’s not going to wait that long. The minute they find a way to create nuclear weapons, it’s over for both of Isreal and the US!

        • kong1967

Israel would be in immediate jeopardy because they are within striking range and it would only take one to do massive damage. Nukes can’t be built overnight, so Iran would be anniahlated before they had a chance to strike the U.S….as long as Obama is gone before then. Even if they strike Israel before Romney is office, I think it takes more capability than they have to hit the U.S., unless they sneak in dirty bombs or something.

Regardless of their ability to hit us, we cannot let them hit Israel no matter what. I like Reagan’s message. We will turn Iran into a parking lot, and it’s looking more and more like we should.

  • E. Lee Zimmerman

THANK YOU for seeing the light, Scoop! It’s very obvious. The only way to turn Romney into John Wayne is for Showbama to be a Republican. Right now? Romney’s doing his best Eric Roberts.

  • BHliberty

It’s funny you mention this as I was thinking about that yesterday. The one person who got Romney’s panties in a bunch was Gingrich! And boy, did Romney let him have at it! I believe this debate lost it for Gingrich!

This is getting exciting to watch and look forward to October 3! Thanks RS!

    • 3boojums

i’ve been a huge Newt fan for years. his Fla debate was very atypical. either he was sick , or for some other reason was “flaccid”. but that’s “water over the bridge”, isn’t it? i had hoped that Newt wpould somehow be involved in the Romney campaign, but after his recent appearance on CNN, i doubt it

  • marketcomp

Yea, thats what Romney should do to Obama. Punch his lights out!

  • Rocco11

This election isn’t about Romney, it’s about stopping Obama.

  • Romney wants to treat the Obama supporters “gingerly.” That means he wants to be nice to them. He values the Dems more than us. I have no idea how to make him mad. He never hesitated to attack Republicans, but he seems unwilling to attack Democrats. He values Sharia Chris Christie over conservative Christians. We tried giving Romney cover this summer when Harry Reid was hawking his imaginary friend, and he couldn’t be bothered to eat a chicken sandwich or wave to the nice people. Indeed, he took the opportunity to side with the Gay Rights folks in the Boy Scout thing; he actually rejects help.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

He is being “handled” by consultants. I have no idea who the “consultants” are, but what I do know is that if Romney loses, they should be black listed from ever running a campaign again. They should be sent to live in Northern Alaska among the Athabaskan in a dry cabin for penance and forced to live on a diet of rabbit, dried fish, whale blubber, and caribou hide. These consultants are the same people who lost McCain. They live in urban areas, hate rural areas, and look down their nose at the vast majority of America as being “provincial” and “unwashed.” They bashed Palin and Newt; they would bash West if they could figure out how to without losing Florida.

The problem is that Romney is not running as a team. He is running as a lone wolf with no connection to the senate races. He made a major FUBAR in Missouri. If Romney expects me to “get over” HIS gaffes and support him, the HE should be able to get over Akin’s gaffes and back him.

Romney’s people have used future SCOTUS appointments as a reason to elect him. Well, if SCOTUS is so important, why are these people not getting behind Emken in CA? Beating Feinstein should be a top priority. Why are Romney’s peeps and his consultants blowing that off? Where is the NRA? I don’t get it; Feinstein is an important senior member of the Senate Judiciary.

Why isn’t Romney all over Illinois? Even Allen West has helped there with endorsements! We have a chance to make Chicago a blue dot on a red state, and yet, silence from team Romney. Again, I don’t get it, and I don’t know what to say. I am totally flabberghasted. When I was there, I had people apologizing for Obama and what he has done to my adopted state; regularly people would say they didn’t know and asked how can they help. I would just tell them to win their local races and make Illinois Red Again. I just don’t get what Romney’s problem is…. and what he is doing, but it is like he is complicit with Obama. His messaging is wrong, his strategy is wrong, and woman voters have no confidence in him because he is as much a wimp and an appeaser as Obama.

Start looking to your state legislatures and your local races. Move to places where succession is viable. I don’t know what else to tell you, but the consequences of Romney’s strategy will be catastrophic to the United States and the world.

  • You are exactly right; he was RUTHLESS against any Republican who stood in his path to the nomination. Yet now, when we need him to go after the man who really is the enemy, he plays softball. Someone please explain.

    • StrangernFiction

      He’s a statist.

    • 3boojums

i think he used to have a gig on PBS, where he said “hello boys and girl”

  • tinker_thinker

    Haha! Funnnnnny!

  • Aikalo80

  • NJK

That’s funny. Obama doesn’t deserve to be treated as nice, he’s not nice.

    • Exactly.

As the old saying goes, “It doesn’t matter how nice you are to your friends and associates; if you’re not nice to the help, you’re not nice.”

Same with Obama and the Unites States. It doesn’t matter how nice he is to his friends and some foolish, phony conservatives like David Brooks. It doesn’t matter how hard he says he’s focusing on jobs, and “fighting” for the middle class.

He’s destroying the middle class and jobs. He’s destroying our energy independence by forcing the shutdown of coal, and plans on shutting down gas development in the shale zones. No folks, whatever he is, he is far from “nice.” Not even to his own family (his brother still lives in a hut).

  • Awwww, don’t be that hard on Newt. He was only trying to get elected. I think Romney is plenty motivated to go after Obama. Whatever you may think about Romney, he’s not about to stand by while a rank socialist tries to destroy this country. Capitalism and the defense of capitalism (“you didn’t build that”) will make Romney come out swinging during these debates, and you may thank GOD for it.

  • I agree with you totally, Right Scoop! The only thing I can figure out, based on the Mother Jones video, is Mitt fully believes he will only win the election by getting the “independent” voters and those who regret voting for BO last time. He has also determined this can only be accomplished by taking a soft tone and merely pointing out BO just wasn’t cut out to be POTUS. He even said people don’t want to be told they made a mistake last time, or did something wrong by voting for BO. Until Mitt gets that ridiculous thought out of his head and wakes up to the fact that normal Americans are grown up enough to handle the truth, I fear we will continue to see more of the ‘he is a nice guy, but’ silliness.

  • Great idea, Scoop! Tell Mitt that Obama has dropped out of the race and that he will be running against Newt Gingrich. He will come out swinging and bury Newt, er, Obama.

  • rmcmartino

Makes sense! Romney was awesome at Republican debates and the visual of Gingrich really helped then and can boost his performance at the Presidential Debates too!

  • AlabamaPatriot2

Killing the enemy with kindness is clearly the wrong strategy. The Marine Corps has a saying: if you find yourself in a fair fight, there’s something wrong with your tactics.

Mitt better start throwing body blows instead of jabs. Ths is a heavyweight title fight, and there aren’t that many rounds left.

  • p m

    Good one. Thanks.

This is astounding – the cost of maintaining this Presidency last year alone was $1.4 Billion of your tax dollars. Included is his use of taxpayer funds for re-election purposes. Yikes!

  • BikerHoop

I was kinda hoping he’d pick Newt as his ‘coach’ for the debates. Maybe some of that fortitude would have rubbed off.

  • FreeManWalking

LOL ~ Scoop You are #1, no one can top that!

  • repubboy

Oh man .. Scoop Thats the best one I have seen yet….

  • StrangernFiction

The best post I’ve seen here.

  • iaintlyin

I do admit Romney had a good time against Newt but I wish it was Newt debating Obama anyway. I’m behind Romney in the same fashion as Brietbart was, ‘if your not in my foxhole, you’re on the other side.’ Newt is in our fox hole and he has some good stuff to say. If Mitt can use the same demeanor against 0 as he did against Newt it’d be cool, but by the same token seeking advice or consulting Newt on how to handle some issues can only behoove Mitt. Newt knows a lot of stuff, I think the smartest of them all in the primaries. He knows the ways each issue interweaves with other issues. By the way, sign up for The Blaze at glenn becks site. Its free for a week and his two part special on the Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of our gov’t is an eyeopener. If we don’t open the eyes in our head very soon our other eye is gonna be pried open with a book, and it ain’t the Bible.

  • Malkiel_kol_hakavod_la_el

    Love This!!!

  • CalCoolidge

Those RINO’s never go after the Left like the go after conservatives.

  • 3boojums

i figured this out long ago, and posted a “pretend he’s a white haired guy with a big belly” strategy a couple of times recently.. welcome to the club

  • The liberal progressive GOP RINO establishment hates Conservatives, especially Tea Party Reagan Conservatives, the very people that fight their political battles on the streets for them, giving the GOP party victories, and even majorities in power, then betrays the very grass roots people who win their political battles for them by colluding with the enemy- ie; Obama and the Democrats against their own base. Tell me, what sense does that make..

It only makes sense if you’re an arrogant elitist 2 faced back stabbing GOP establishment RINO. This is why we Tea Party Reagan Conservatives, aka We the People, must and will rid the GOP party of every RINO we can, period. This is why they, the GOP RINOs like Boehner blatantly arrogantly changed the GOP delegate rules during the RNC Convention, to make it harder for us grass roots Tea Party American people, to elect and install Conservatives to fight and remove them from their self-proclaimed elitist entitled permanent political class seat of power. Too bad, we the people are coming after all them.

And Mitt Romney will not govern as a liberal progressive GOP RINO President, as we will force his hand to apply and implement more Conservative policies and agenda. ie; the reversal of ALL of Obama’s unconstitutional laws, decrees, policies, etc.. ie; Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, the Dream, as well as reducing the govt agencies budgets, size, and personnel like the IRS, EPA, etc, along with stopping the sequestration of forced mandatory cuts to the US Military that is Obama’s dismantlement of our US Defense capabilities, by the liberals in Congress.. thus restoring the US Military to required superpower US strength, needed to fight the enemies of America, and not be the enemy of America from within, as Obama has clearly and incontrovertibly shown he is.

  • bornfreeamerican

Please please do! That’s why McCain sucked, he wouldn’t vet him. We need and the people need to hear just what Obamster is all about! Lies, corruption, bullying, threatening Chicago Thugery at its best. Its all the community organizer knows how to do.

  • Here are two prominent evangelical views on how the election will turn out….

  • BabyMal

See? This is exactly what conservatives were warning about Romney back in the primaries.

  • there is so many way’s to play with this. whos the guy behind the mask? The one termer.

  • CitizenVetUSA

Obama seemingly hovers above the fray with a dismissive sneer of over confidence.

Romney needs to strategically strike arrow piercing blows into Obama’s narcissistic elitist demeanor bubble

Once rattled obama will lose his composure and focus and begin his stuttering brain freeze as in the past.

  • I get it. We plant a bobble-Newt-head in the front row. Brilliant.

  • A smart looking Obama…never seen him look so good.
