MSNBC host Katy Tur actually called out Democrat Chris Murphy a short while ago for calling Trump a terrorist:

If you are so disturbed, does it take more than a letter to the president to change things?
What’s she doing here is calling him on out his unwillingness to compromise with Trump on his wall. Murphy claims he’s very disturbed by what Trump is supposedly doing to all these children, but all he’s willing to do is send Trump a letter.
That’s when Murphy goes down the road of saying that Trump is terrorizing these little kids just to get his wall, and that if they compromise with him on this, he’ll just take hostage other vulnerable populations and terrorize them too.
Tur zeros in on his fecklessness, saying:
So you’re saying no compromise whatsoever with the president when it comes to the border wall, no compromise for dreamers, no compromise on this policy that’s currently ripping families apart.
Murphy blathers on about how Democrats were willing to compromise on ‘full protection’ for Dreamers for partial wall funding, but then doubles down on his ‘Trump is a terrorist’ excuse, saying that these tactics of terrorizing little kids won’t end they give in to it.
Tur then hits Murphy with this:
Senator it sounds like what you are saying is that you don’t negotiate with terrorists, and you’re calling the president a terrorist in this scenario.
Murphy starts shaking his head, stuttering out “No..I’m not, I’m not saying…”
Tur cuts him off and continues:
You’re saying he’s terrorizing kids. I mean the policy is don’t negotiate with terrorists because when you give them what they want, they’ll only hold more people hostage or etc. That is what you just said. If you give the president what he wants he’ll hold more vulnerable population groups hostage.
Murphy claimed he didn’t call Trump ‘that name’, but then triples down on what he said before, saying it’s an accurate description of what Trump is doing.
So there you go. Chris Murphy thinks Trump is a terrorist and actually got called out for it on MSNBC. Wow. Kudos to Katy Tur for not letting him get away with that.
