Awesome: Brad Pitt’s mother says it’s time to kick Obama out of the White House

This is my favorite story of the day. While liberal icon Brad Pitt supports Obama for reelection, his very wise mother who is a Christian says that it is time to kick Obama out of the White House because he lacks moral conviction in that he supports gay marriage and the killing of unborn babies:

DAILY MAIL – Brad Pitt’s mother has written to her local paper urging voters to kick President Barack Obama – who her son supports – out of the White House.

Jane Pitt, a Christian, claimed that Mr Obama should not serve a second term because he lacks moral conviction and backs gay marriage and ‘the killing of unborn babies’.

By contrast Republican candidate Mitt Romney is a ‘family man’ with ‘high morals’ who is against same-sex partnerships.

Mrs Pitt says in her letter to the Springfield News-Leader, in Missouri: ‘I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility’.

Pitt, 48, is well-known for his liberal views and is likely to find the letter highly embarrassing.

Here’s a portion of Jane Pitt’s short letter:

Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.

You can read the entire letter here.

I have come to the conclusion that it is genetics more than life experience that determines if you are conservative or liberal

    • Freempg

Odin, there is scientific evidence to support your claim:

ScienceDaily (Oct. 27, 2010) — Liberals may owe their political outlook partly to their genetic make-up, according to new research from the University of California, San Diego, and Harvard University. Ideology is affected not just by social factors, but also by a dopamine receptor gene called DRD4. The study’s authors say this is the first research to identify a specific gene that predisposes people to certain political views.

      • NYGino

Ted Nugent should run an annual telethon to raise money to try and find a cure for this disease. Kinda like Jerry Lewis did for the MDA.

        • Nukeman60

Just vaccinate our kids for it. It appears it is prominent in youth and then wears off after one gets older. Hmmm…

          • Freempg

Nuke, don’t be pushing our luck. In the brave new world of Obamacare, the kids will be checked for DRD4. If missing, it will be spliced in vitro (provided automatic termination is not indicated). If splice does not take … to the incinerator.

            • NYGino

              From womb to tomb.

              • Linky1

In Canada, it’s called “cradle to grave” coverage. Welcome to socialized medicine!

                • FutureOnePercent

“Democrats want to give you cradle to grave entitlements, but the tough part is getting to the cradle.”

                • MacSwain

                  You nailed it!

              • 12grace

NYG, I enjoy your comments. Very Clever. Smile

                • NYGino

Thank you 12grace, ditto to you. You’re a wealth of information.

      • Don

There is more evidence than what you are suggesting. The book, The Liberal Mind, The Psychological Causes of Political Madness by Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr, M.D. relates liberalism is a progressive mental disease that gets worse over time. It is unnerving to think that the world economies are being destroyed by a predisposed mental disorder and the EU is a prime example of that happening..

    • Linky1

My father, and grandparents were both liberal leaning, as were other members of my family. That made for some fun family discussions.

My ex-husband was a raving liberal……and here I am, conservative to the core since my teens. Genetics? Not in my case. It was a history teacher in high school, who was running for public office as a Conservative, and who took us through the whole election process from beginning to end, showing both sides of the spectrum.

Funny thing-most of my classmates leaned to the left, only one or two of us followed the conservative side of things. That experience rooted my beliefs-that was over 30 years ago and throughout the years, I have had to endure a lot of slings and arrows, but haven’t wavered in what I believe in.

      • Nukeman60

I find it interesting that the liberal teachers I have had contact with try to indoctrinate their students, while the Conservative teachers I run across try to show both sides and let the student make up their own mind. It may not be true in all instances, but it sure is interesting.

        • Linky1

“the Conservative teachers I run across try to show both sides and let the student make up their own mind.”

There’s the core difference between conservatives and liberals – conservatives letting you think for yourself……..that’s what is missing in today’s world .

          • Nukeman60

Agreed. Not completely missing, though, but moreso in government than anywhere else. That’s what we’re here to change. I think we can do it.

      • Did he win?!

        • Linky1

Yes, he did. Mind you, it was short-lived, as he was in a minority government situation and after less than a year, big bad Trudeau came back and won again. This was the mid-70’s and what brought the government down was wage and price controls, specifically on oil.

          • That’s cool though, and a great example of a great teacher. Teaching from experiences is the way to go.

    • rick0857

Then how do you explain Brad lacking the genetic material of his mother where did it go?

      • Rshill7

They rebelled against it. Simple as that. They also, like the sycophants they are, glued themselves to the anti-parent, anti-common sense, Hollywood crowd. The dumbest people on Earth.

      • 12grace

Pitt, has contracted a bad case of Hollywooditis, that is he has “movie star syndrome” and, doesn’t know the difference between the truth and a lie. MSS patients think they will be oh so cool supporting a leftist that makes everyone but the stars cough up all their money so the leftist ( obama) can give it to his favorites liberals, dictators and terrorists, here and abroad.

        • And let’s not forget Angelina Jolie is a member of CFR and does work for the UN.

          • 12grace

            I didn’t know that, ABC.

But not surprised, Jolie has also contracted a case of “Hollywooditis”.

We the people must stop financially supporting people/projects in Hollywood or businesses that don’t support us. Let’s put our money where our hearts are! Smile.

            • I haven’t spent money at a theater since The Perfect Storm 😉 Any DVDs I buy are family oriented or Christian. I can’t stand what is celebrated and comes out of hollywood.

              • 12grace

You are a good person and patriot, ABC.

            • FutureOnePercent

I’m not a pirate and I don’t support breaking copyright laws, but Hollywood liberalism sure makes a good case for it.

    • Not so, I was a democrat for most of my younger years until the election of LBJ. I switched over to republican/conservative and now also tea party support quickly. The dummycrats were never the “people’s party” after LBJ and they were conservative before his election.

    • I believe it depends on whether or not you possess a brain AND the ability to use it.

  • Cindy09

Both Jane Pitt and Jon Voigt are awesome conservative parents!!

    • c4pfan

    • toongoon

Awesome conservatives, I’m not sure about parents.

      • Cindy09

Jane seems to have raised her kids right and Jon tried to make amends for the hurtful words he said regarding Angelina’s addiction. I believe they have made peace but Angie still keeps her distance. But overall, they are awesome because they value conservatism and love their country.

        • toongoon

I was aware of Jon and Angelina’s falling out and that they are unable to make amends but I never knew Brad Pitt had a mother until now.

          • Cindy09

Sometime ago the tabloids mentioned that she was pretty close to Brad’s former wife. It was a sure sign that she was not happy with their marriage falling apart. But I never thought she was conservative. I applaud her for coming out despite the liberal backlash.

          • Rshill7

Really, I thought he was the offspring of three or four fathers. I wonder which is most ashamed of which in the Pitt family.

      • Happyface2

Is there something that you know or are you just blowing wind?

        • toongoon

Did you catch the “not sure” part?

    • B-Funk

For sure. It makes me wonder sometimes if people like Jolie/Pitt aren’t putting on a show to keep their Hollyweird jobs. I’ve heard that happens with some hollywood conservatives.

      • Linky1

Brad Pitt is an opportunistic Hollywood-type, as is Ms. Jolie-Pitt, or whatever she calls herself these days. She has distanced herself from her father over his political views, somehow, I can’t see her as a conservative of any kind.

        • B-Funk

Maybe so. I’m not saying that of them necessarily. Just that I’ve heard of it happening.

          • Linky1

I’m not a fan of either one of them, both for their acting and their personal lives. They have 8 or so kids and not married? Adopting out of country? What’s wrong with kids from the US?

She is a humanitarian, for who? The UN? Another corrupt organization.

As for their movies and acting abilities-again, a personal thing – I won’t watch their movies and support them because a), IMHO, neither can act and b), I won’t support Hollywood type lifestyles that are so phoney.

            • B-Funk

I agree. I just saw a nice segment from Dana Loesch (sp?) filling in on gbtv, and she spoke about supporting the conservatives in hollywood and in music who are good (Voight, Vaughn, Heaton, et al). Your comment reminded me of that. She has other good points in that segment too. Anyhow, I feel the same way about their acting. They’re not very good actors. It always bugs me, though, when you come across someone whose acting you like, but you just absolutely hate everything they stand for. :-/

              • Linky1

If more people would speak with their dollars and not support these liberal Hollywood-types, they would soon be whining and complaining. I will not support any entertainment-type who frall into that category.

                • 12grace

I’m with you on that L. Why should we spend our hard earned money on these liberals so they can send obama huge donations?

A taxpayer voting Obama is like a chicken voting Colonel Sanders

                • Linky1

                  Love the Col. Sanders analogy!!!

              • 12grace

Yes, I saw it also and thought Dana did a great job. And her points were well-taken.

What I like to do is take the money I would spend buying a movie or going to a movie that has a liberal star or co-star in it and using the funds to support Conservative causes.

      • Cindy09

It’s difficult to figure out how Brad Pitt turns out to be liberal – I am not going to say so liberal, I’ll leave that to Matt Damon who has a union mother – but I believe they are under a lot of pressure to play the liberal card. It is unfathomable that stars that are heroes on the silver screen could cow down to the liberal left under some fraternity code.

        • B-Funk

Couldn’t agree more. All I can think of is that they think they might get some share of the power. Or, maybe, they really haven’t thought about it at all but just go with what sounds nice, as in the case of some of my family.

        • wodiej

some people don’t take the road less traveled. It’s much more rewarding but also more difficult.

        • 12grace

They have to be part of the Actors Guild Union to get jobs…

Personally I don’t think anyone should have to join or pay a Union in order to work.

          National Right to Work

      • Maybe, but there are other outspoken Conservative actors, Patricia Heaton comes to mind. Oh, and now if this isn’t a psychologist’s dream, I don’t know what is- Stephen Baldwin, who is an outspoken Christian conservative vs. his lunitic leftist brother Alec.

        • B-Funk

LOL! I was just thinking of those two people! I didn’t know Stephen was a Christian, though. How cool! Must make for fun family get-togethers at the Baldwin’s! ~_^

  • G_unitttt

what’s also amusing as well as heartening, is that Angelina’s dad, Jon Voight is a tea party supporter. So, the two of these Hollywood libs are getting from both sides! this cracks me up and is encouraging to hear

    • Linky1

      I love the irony here!!!!!

  • 911Infidel

Oh, I like her. Good upbringing doesn’t necessarily yield good adult offspring.M ore often than not, if good parents aren’t enough, a come-to-Jesus moment is necessary.

Environment has a lot to do with how children turn out too. Hanging out with junk yields junk. Hang out with people with an operating moral compass, and peer pressure will kick in in a positive way. But I still think that the formative years between 3 to maybe 6 years is the key to making or breaking a child. That’s still no guarantee of success. But it beats letting the schools and peers raise your children.

It doesn’t take a village to raise a child. Just two good parents. One mother and one father.

    • Rshill7

      Another Yay(!) for you today.

      • 911Infidel

  • E. Lee Zimmerman

Good for Ma Pitt. It’s about time someone in that family grew a brain.

    • kong1967

Lol, that insinuates that she didn’t have one until she finally grew one. She’s probably been conservative for a good number of years. I know what you mean, though.

  • Happyface2

Well at least there’s one person in the Pitt family with some common sense.

  • PAWatcher

Having come from conservative parents who accepted my liberal leanings in my teen years, actually loved me thru it. Hope Ma Pitt and Brad agree to disagree(if he is still a left leaner, or wife follower) with love intact.

  • GreenBeretWay

Hey at least the potential votes cancel each other out.Brad & Angelia will vote Obama and Mama Pitt an Voight will vote conservative. It’s the motley crew of kids you have to worry about.I’m sure with no voter ID laws they will all be casting votes on way or another.

  • O/T – Update on the Boogie Southern Compound

Hey folks, just jumping in to let you know we got tha powah once more! Electricity transmission pros from many states have been here working exhaustively to get everyone back online, and ours was restored within hours of being exactly one week since the rare, straight-line storm flashed through here on its way to the east coast. I know that’s “just what they do,” but I’m grateful for those guys and all their hard work in hundred-degree heat and zero breeze.

I still don’t know how many trees we lost, because of the concerns of removing the one from our garage and also the one blocking the driveway and the one on the road making a travel hazard. I’ll take stock of it all later. I did discover we have one down on a phone line, and one blocking the barn road, too. Those will have to be removed this coming week. Country living means work. But the up-side is we don’t care about dandelions and weeds in the yard, and we don’t feed and water the lawn.

Curiously, the worst tree damage was confined to a swath about a hundred feet wide, and all the downed trees are pointing the same direction. Many of them simply snapped from over-bending, with the snapping point being about ten to fourteen feet up the trunk. Several were mature trees, from 60 to about 150 years of age. It’s just God’s way of reminding us who’s boss, and also that you shouldn’t put off the preparatory tasks that help you survive these situations. Some of those tasks would have made this past week FAR more comfortable.

I had no idea I was capable of sweating so much. Good to know all the pores work, I guess. It was, and remains quite hot. But now we have water and fans, so I can begin the long job of cutting and stacking wood, and burning the waste.

For those of you who have fireplaces and woodstoves: I’d expect this year to be an excellent one to lay in a few extra cords of hardwood, since people like me will be giving it away, just to get the yard space back.

I won’t have much time for the Internets this weekend, but I should be back more regular-like next week.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers!

(I’ll move this to an open thread if Scoop puts one up later)

    • Nukeman60

Good to hear you and your family are alright. Good to have you back.

      On a lighter note:

But the up-side is we don’t care about dandelions and weeds in the yard, and we don’t feed and water the lawn.‘ – K-Bob

      I’m jealous. 🙂

      • Heh. When it comes to the lawn, out here it’s “survival of the fittest.” As my good buddy from my band says, “If it wants to grow, it’ll grow.”

        And Thanks!

BONUS: I ended-ed up with a new chainsaw, and some new steel-toed boots.

Never let a crisis go to waste: buy more tools”

    • Glad for the good update K-Bob!! Glad you’re all ok!

      quit spamming

  • She sounds like a very, very, wise lady. Good for her!

  • c4pfan

She seems like a nice lady. I’m glad that she was brave enough to say her point of view.

  • 12grace

Pitt should listen to his Mother.

  • Don

Mrs. Pitt sounds like what this country is based on. Angelina Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, is an outspoken critic of Obama and his administration too.

  • Boy, I sure am glad Jane Pitt wrote this and it is making the rounds. I am absolutely convinced Obama doesn’t have a chance now.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Personally I like Ms. Pitts much better than I like her son!

  • 1vote

I am reminded of that old country song “Momma Tried” by Merle Haggard.

A lot of times children just want to go a different direction. Most citizens of this country are rather conservative. Therefore, liberalism is a way to be set apart as younger, smarter, more important/elite, etc. Not surprising when one considers gov education. If teachers and professors were employed by private companies, I’ll bet there would be a change in rhetoric. ….anyway, “Momma Tried”

  • It doesn’t matter if his mother is a Christian! It is true that Obama sucks, but why should it be relevant that Mrs Pitt is a Christian? In fact, Brad Pitt is probably a Christian, too. The vast majority of Americans are Christians, and very few are atheists.

  • kssturgis62

Oh the newspaper that the Complete letter is located in, What a Great Discussion with Liberals that are Truly pathetic I have had for two full days.

I had one liberal by the name of Karen Whittle Give me the name of Thomas Day, who was an abolitionist, who slammed our Declaration of Independence. I said to her your going to use Thomas Day, do you know who Thomas Day is, do you know what he did?

She did not know that Thomas Day was an Abolitionist who lived in England and Was a Pedophile by today’s terms. In other words, his whole mission in life was to “TRAIN” women to be his wife. When he couldn’t find a woman to be his wife, he adopted an 11 year old girl and a 12 year old girl that he kept in Isolation to train them.

When a Liberal brings up a Man like Thomas Day to state that our Constitution was a slave document, and that we are not a Christian Nation, you know they are really pathetic insignificant little ants that are just bent on Destroying our nation.

By the Way she kept asking what are the rights guaranteed to you by God. She did not understand nor did she read what an Unalienable right was, and or that it was in the Declaration of Independence. The Most astonishing thing I find is how people don’t even know the Constitution and the Declaration are Joined Together. In Article VII The Constitution attaches itself to the Declaration by dating itself as being signed in the twelfth year of the independence of the United States of America!

  • Why can’t these kids listen to their wise elders?! Good for Mrs. Pitt!! Good for her to speak out, much the way Angelina’s dad Jon Voit does. This would be a nice trend 🙂

  • America is returning in November
And boy is she pissed !

  • Theconservativechic

“Parents know best”.. That’s gotta piss brad off! I love it. Self-absorbed — —–!
    Goooo Jane & Jon!!

  • wodiej

Good for her. She’s not one of those mom’s who believes every thing their child does or believes is A ok.

  • James1754

At least one member of the family has some sense.

  • RKflorida

If she is a Christian lady, why does she allow herself to associate with the wicked? She adores the attention more than she adores her supposed Lord, Jesus Christ. A Christian is instructed NOT to associate with wicked people. Another professing Christian.

    • joyfulgiver

Actually, we are instructed to be “Salt and Light” and to “love our enemies”. To be “in this world, but not of this world.” Mrs. Pitt is doing exactly what God calls each of us to do; shed light on the darkness. May God continue to bless, encourage and protect her as she speaks out to defend the truth.

  • This is a real shocker since Pitt and Jolie support Obama and his regime. Good for Brad’s Mom for speaking out. We need more Hollywood celebrity’s families speaking out just like this brave lady.

  • FutureOnePercent

Only slightly off topic, but am I the only one who thinks Angelina Jolie just isn’t hot? I don’t get it?
