BREAKING: Texas Tech student who shot and KILLED COP has been apprehended…. [updated]

There are early reports of an active shooter at Texas Tech after a shooting in a police station.

Here’s more:

Lubbock Police and EMS were called to the Texas Tech Police Department Monday evening for the report of a shooting.

It was not immediately clear if the shooting was inside the TTUPD or nearby to the police station.

The extent of injuries to the shooting victim was not known. Police radio traffic indicated there was a search for a suspect but official information has not yet been released.

A photojournalist is on scene working to get more information. This story will be updated as soon as possible.

Lubbock police confirm that a Texas Tech police officer has been shot and killed at Texas Tech Police Headquarters.

It happened around 8 p.m. on Monday night at Texas Tech Police Department headquarters, 413 Flint Avenue.

The shooter is still at large. Texas Tech campus is on lockdown, everyone on campus should take shelter in a safe location.

UMC is also on lockdown as of 8:30 p.m. Monday night.

Early reports say the shooting suspect is 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Awful. I hope they catch the scumbag. And he resists arrest.

The school confirms as of 9:53pm EST that the search for the shooter is still active.

Wow. It sounds like a student shot the cop in the head after they found drug paraphernalia at his room. Just terrible.
