BREAKING: Charlotte just voted to REPEAL ‘bathroom ordinance’ after deal struck to repeal HB2

The city of Charlotte just voted to repeal their controversial non-discrimination ‘bathroom’ ordinance that allowed Transgenders to use whatever bathroom they chose. But the only passed it on one condition, that HB2 be repealed by December 31st:

Apparently a new deal was struck that called for an unconditional repeal of the Charlotte ordinance in conjunction with a full repeal of HB2.

Here’s more, including statements by Mayor Jennifer Roberts:

Governor-elect Roy Cooper just released a statement suggesting that the legislature will call a special session tomorrow to repeal HB2:

After all the protesting happened last week when the NC legislature rolled back special powers than was granted to Governor McCrory, this may be an act to reunify the state before the new governor takes office.

If Republicans repeal HB2 tomorrow, that will be big news and we’ll certainly bring that to you.
