From Fox News 32:
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Headquarters has been evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to a bomb threat.
According to police, a suspicious package was identified at CMPD headquarters. Out of an abundance of caution police evacuated the building and requested the bomb squad to investigate.
FOX 46 Charlotte was on scene for a scheduled news conference around 4:40 p.m. with NAACP members, who had a list of demands for city leaders, when everyone was told to immediately evacuate the building.
Hopefully it’s a false alarm.
