John Bolton has made his announcement to not run for president in 2016. That probably means he sees promise in the collection of candidates we have running:
DAILY CALLER – Former United Nations ambassador John Bolton announced Thursday that he will not be a candidate for president in 2016, after months of traveling to early nominating states and saying he was seriously considering running.
“As I look forward, I’ve decided not to seek the Republican nomination for president,” Bolton said in a video released on Thursday. “I believe I can make the strongest contribution to our future by continuing as a clear and consistent advocate for a strong Reaganite foreign policy that values peace through strength.”
Bolton explained in his video that in 2013, “I began considering a run for president because I firmly believed that national security needed to return to the center of the political debate.”
Well that would have been fun. I just hope that my favorite candidate, Ted Cruz, utilizes John Bolton as a top consultant on his foreign policy. That would be a smart move.
