This is going to anger a lot of people:
Judge in Michael Slager trial is preparing to declare a mistrial; he's calling jurors back to get verbal clarification they are deadlocked.

The jury has sent Judge Clifton Newman three notes. One was from a juror who told the judge he cannot vote to convict Michael Slager, the former North Charleston police officer. The juror says his mind cannot be changed. The foreperson of the jury sent two notes, one saying that juror was the only one with “issues.”
To be clear: ONE juror is holding out and refuses to convict Michael Slager for the killing of #WalterScott. Standing by. #SlagerTrial

According to the jurors' notes, 11/12 of them have agree to convict Michael Slager. One holdout has them headed for mistrial. #SlagerTrial

This is the case in which Walter Scott was shot dead by the police as he ran away unarmed.
You can bet that there will be outrage and possibly rioting:
The jury is telling the judge, that because of one lone holdout, they do not believe they can/will convict Slager for murdering #WalterScott pic.twitter.com/vY7r2ynsLU

The Walter Scott case isn't remotely debatable. Slager murdered an unarmed man then tried to cover it up. There's just no excuse…

Michael Slager shot Walter Scott in the back. While running away. He was UNARMED. A non-conviction is unthinkable.

We’ll post the reaction as it develops.
