Turns out Trump isn’t just looking at Newt Gingrich and Chris Christie as potential VPs. Reportedly there’s a list of four people on his short list, but I’m not sure of all the names.
But there’s a new name in the mix, possibly one of the four, that MSNBC is revealing today.

BREAKING: Sources say Indiana Governor Mike Pence "in play" as possible Donald Trump VP choice https://t.co/0ddGy7Tja3

According to the reporter, Mike Pence is going to travel to meet Trump today.
Like Newt, Pence brings congressional experience to the table which is one of the qualities Trump has said he wants in a veep. Also he’s a governor, so he knows how to run a state which is something Trump could seriously use.
Pence also doesn’t have all the years of baggage that Newt has from being in the limelight before. But Pence did end up looking weak last year after the left’s smear campaign of Indiana’s new religious freedom law. So that’s bound to resurface if he’s the pick.
And, for us conservatives, we all felt Pence’s endorsement of Ted Cruz was less than stellar a few months ago, as he praised Trump while endorsing Cruz. And that, sadly, probably has a lot to do with all this veep talk today about him.
