From Fox News:

North Korea fired an unidentified missile into the East Sea, South Korean media said on Monday.

The move comes after North Korea fired three short-range missiles on Saturday — all successful — despite initial reports suggesting failure, according to the U.S. military.

Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the projectiles fired during the weekend from the North’s eastern coast flew about 155 miles.

U.S. and South Korean forces began annual military exercises last week, an effort that the North claims to be a rehearsal for war.

How will Trump respond? Stay tuned…

UPDATE:

More about the launch:

The Japanese government has urged people in Tohoku to take refuge in solid buildings or underground shelters, according to NHK.

On Monday, U.S. and Japanese servicemen concluded joint exercises in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost major island.

A senior U.S. intelligence official told NBC that this would be the first missile test to pass over Japan on a high altitude trajectory. In 1998, North Korea fired a missile through Japanese airspace.

And…

“We will make utmost efforts to firmly protect the lives of the people,” Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told reporters in brief remarks as he entered his office for emergency meetings.

NHK said the missile broke into three pieces and fell into waters off Hokkaido.

The unidentified projectile was fired from near the North Korean capital Pyongyang, South Korea’s military said.

The Government’s J-Alert warning system advised people in the area to take precautions, but NHK said there was no sign of damage.

Still nothing from Trump yet…
