Charles Krauthammer makes the point that given today’s Executive Privilege order and contempt vote by a Issa’s committee, the MSM can no longer ignore Fast and Furious, and that’s a big deal. Bret Baier agreed and then made the point that someone watching NBC Nightly News may think that Fast and Furious is just a new movie by Vin Diesel. Ouch!

Gee, a dereliction of journalistic duty by the lamestream. Imagine that.

    • kong1967

Just think, they’ve been doing this for years….and they got away with it in the past because there was no alternative media.

  • n8sebaka

I checked out nbc.com around 2:00 pm today, and the front page had Matt Lauer and Justin Bieber. sheesh.

I’m currently reading a book about Lukashenko, Dictator of Belarus titled “The Last Dictator in Europe” and am amazed at the similarities between what Lukashenko has done to maintain power and what Obama and the other Statists have done to enact their agenda.

Over there, he has his thumb on the media. Over here, the media willingly abdicates its responsibility.

Other similarities, and some things to look forward to. Before his fixed elections, Lukashenko dictates that students and pensioners receive higher stipends (think home and student loan forgiveness). Lukashenko dictates that companies become state-owned in order to preserve their viability.

I tell you folks, this government is a regime and Great Leader is a Dictator. We need to vote this regime out.

update: just went to msnbc.com (8:00 EST) and NOTHING is mentioned about F & F

    • Nukeman60

Don’t forget to stop by the office and pick up your combat and hazard pay for visiting those two sites. You earned it.

  • Sandra123456

When NBC is not distorting the news it is ignoring news.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_IDAKYMXLZIRLMLGEZJXV3AOO7E Vorlath

Nobody watches. In order to cut down costs, they just make it up as they go.

  • Nukeman60

Yep, Fast and Furious is just a made up story by the evil right and Obama had to jump in and save the country once again, this time with Executive Privilege. When is Congress going to grow up and let him rule?

That is what the LSM is going to spew forward. It will be interesting to see what the story has become tomorrow morning.

    • FreeManWalking

I can see a big YAAAAAWN, followed by a head shake, then spouting out something along the lines of GOP partisan hacks are trying to tie Holder and 0b0 the two most ethical men in Amerika to selling guns to a southern drug dealer.

    • kong1967

These accusations will be lumped into the same category as the birthers.

    • creeper00

What they will spew forth is what the regime tells them to…that this is R@CIST!

  • 911Infidel

The MSM hasn’t been doing their due dilligence since the days of Walter Cronkite. If you get your news from the alphabet networks and you believe what they say are the facts, then you are lost in the sauce. If on the other hand, you wish to dig deeper for veritas on any issue, then the New Media is your one-stop service store.

    • FreeManWalking

Might want to dig a little deeper into good ole Uncle Walter.
      http://moonbattery.com/?p=12129

      • 911Infidel

Nah. I heard all I needed to hear from “the most trusted man in America” when after JFK’s assasination, the old geezer started blaming Republicans for his death. Then the lying sack of doggie doo-doo had the timerity to say that the war was lost after we won a great victory at Tet in 68.

I figured out old Walter a long time ago.

        • keyesforpres

That’s what my dad said a few years ago.. he remembered Walter saying that about Vietnam and that was it for any respect for that traitor.

          • 911Infidel

Yep. That was the last straw for me too. Yet, despite the Cronkite BS, it was still possible to glean the truth from the MSM, even though they had a monopoly on the Nightly News. Not so anymore. If you want the truth you need to look elsewhere.

        • kong1967

People still refer to him as one of the best journalists of all time. He supposedly had no agenda and told the news across both sides of the aisle. Yeah, my ass.

          • 911Infidel

            Amen to that.

    • kong1967

The New Media is great, but liberals are trying to say our system of reporting is broken because the New Media makes everything up. They are able to make that argument because the MSM will not report on stories that hurt Obama. If it’s not on the MSM it never happened….so they want the public to believe. Hence why they attempted to take control over the internet so they could shut down the New Media.

      • 911Infidel

The old Media is good at two things: (Courtesy of Saul Alinsky):

        5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.”

        13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and ‘frozen.’…
“…any target can always say, ‘Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?’ When your ‘freeze the target,’ you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments…. Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the ‘others’ come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target…’
“One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other

The one thing the old dinasour media is not good at anymore is reporting the news…fair and balanced. FOX, despite its claim isn’t much better at it…Especially on the subject of Islam.

Hence the need for an alternative voice like the New Media. And yes we’re all Breitbart now.

        • kong1967

I pretty much agree with you accept I like Fox. They do a much better job at reporting the important things and they give both political sides a chance to provide perspective on the issue.

As far as Islam is concerned, this isn’t just a problem with Fox. I think the entire MSM is afraid to report on the issue how it should be because of death threats. I can’t remember which channel it was, but when they reported negatively on Islam the reporter received numerous death threats. It would be difficult to operate under those conditions and I know they don’t want to endanger the lives of their employees.

Breitbart is a special case. He had no fear. Bring it on. However, he wasn’t being forced to report on it by an employer. Any danger he was in he willingly placed on himself. G-d rest his brave soul.

          • 911Infidel

The only difference between FOX and everyone else is that when elections come only about 85% of their newsroom votes Dhimirat; wheras with everyone else its more like 95-98%.

As to Islam. Islam is like the mob. Back in the day news stations reported on Mob hits. Eventually cops, the FBI and even the Italians in Italy grew a pair and defeated their arses.

So it must be with Islam. There are a few good men and women with the canastas necessary to expose the Nazi underpinnings of the religion of Satan. FOX isn’t one of them, nor is Hannity, nor is Levin. For ballsy reporting you have to look to a few midget-sized people like Spencer and Geller. Or to the stellar former Muslims at Islamwatch or Amil Imani, Reza Khalili, Walid Shoebat, and teeny women like Wafa Sultan.

And they used to say short people have no class. But when it comes to Islam, some short-people got some serious balls. Can’t say the same for FOX.

Hannity and Levin talk like they’re tough guys, but not on Islam. They are just what they decry about leftists. They are Islamic relativists. Oh and what did they do in the war daddy? Put on the uniform? Nah.

            • kong1967

You are comparing apples to oranges. Fox is a general news station, and every person you listed is focused on radical Islam. Fox does not have an agenda to defeat or warn about Islam. Everyone on your list does, and some I know are very close to the issue as far as living it.

That said, Fox does identify radical Islam for what it is. They don’t sugar-coat it as workplace violence or refuse to even attach the relation between Islam and the attacker/terrorist. Other channels do just that, yet they can’t shut up for weeks about an attack they think they can blame on a Christian or a Tea Party member (usually being wrong).

              • 911Infidel

Radical Islam? What exactly is that? Islam is Islam. There is moderate or immoderate Islam. There are moderate Muslims. But they are moderate despite Islam not because of it. And FOX still hasn’t figured that out. This comment was directed at Zuhdi Jasser, but I would include all of the people that I just mentioned as well.

“Mohammed Zuhdi Jasser’s grossly inadequate understanding, or deliberately bowdlerized rendition of foundational, living Koranic doctrines disqualifies him as a serious discussant regarding the drastic reforms required of mainstream, institutional Islam.”

And I’m not comparing apples to oranges. You either are four-square on the side of truth or you are a game player. To call the facistic doctrine of a crazy man a “religion” is the height and breath of pure ignorance.

So, I turned my TV off and cancelled my cable subscription. I’m done with all of the relativists and half-steppers at FOX and everywhere else in the news biz.

I am Breitbart. FOX comes close. But no cigar.

                • kong1967

Radical Islam…you got me. I knew what I meant, lol. I meant radical extremists practicing Islam. Of course there are moderates despite the literal teachings of Islam.

All I’m saying is that Fox is on air for profit and they try to attract all types of viewers. The people on your list just want to get the word out and educate people. I’m glad they are.

                • 911Infidel

My radical Islam comment was me being sarcastic. And you can have FOX. I’ll stick to being a Breitbart and a bit of a LtCol West. Like he said, some people want peace, while others like to make waves.Yeah that’s me. I’ve been a Free Thinker since before I was old enough to read and write my name. I kid you not. I got into following politics when I was six. The old 20th Century program was the best thing going on Sunday TV..other than Jack Parr that is. And I stayed up to watch his show too. I got way better sources for news and information than FOX. Why mess with the rest, when you can mess with the best instead. Watching FOX is sort of like settling on a Mikey D’s Happy meal instead of a juicy steak dinner with all the trimmings.

                • kong1967

Yeah, I agree. I love Breitbart, too, and if you want the entire scoop you have to get away from all television media. I like to see the arguments against liberals, though. You get a feeling what we’re up against and it’s funny to boot.

I still like Fox (sticking out tongue).

In all seriousness, you are right that you get a much better in-depth view of reality on sites like Breitbart.

                • 911Infidel

“I still like Fox (sticking out tongue).” ROFLMAO. That’s downright funny dude.

  • TENCOLE

How ironic and hypocritical of both Baier and CK, since they’re both part of that MSM….sheesh.

    • kong1967

Technically, yes. But to conservatives the MSM has become known as the liberal media. I don’t consider Fox to be part of the MSM simply because “main stream” has become synonoymous with left wing bias.

      • Patriot077

When I think of corrupt media, I think of “network news”. Everyone has the same talking points. I don’t know of any major newspaper or widely published magazine that isn’t either extremely biased or not downright corrupt.

        • kong1967

I agree, but a lot of bias comes naturally without intention. MSNBC, for one, is extremely bias intentionally.

  • c4pfan

NBC isn’t the only one ignoring it.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_E4C65QOIQ4XH67F6MEHWTXGODY Alan

Oh, yes, they will try and dismiss it as a witchhunt by the GOP.

    • kong1967

Yeah, but I want to see these questions asked…..

If it’s a witchhunt and neither Obama or Holder knew about the operation, why are they refusing to turn over 90% of the documents, why have much of the documents they turned over been blacked out, and why did Obama claim executive privelege?

If Obama and Holder were so innocent they would be willing to release the information so they could make complete asses out of the Republicans. Hmmm, it’s not happening. Why is that?

  • http://twitter.com/Powerfactor1 Mark Adam

    NBC is toast.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_OQI5D66OXO7X2FE4NVCZC7BAMA Joe

With ALL of the videos coming out about when they knew it –

including when Obama knew it and the obvious coverup

This must be impeachable – If not there is plenty more !

    • Medaton

This is worst than the Nixon coverup of Watergate!

      • kong1967

If Nixon’s scandal was a football field Obama’s scandal is a very large airport.

    • kong1967

If they move for impeachment it will have to wait until after next January…and if Obama is still in office. It will never pass the Democrat controlled Senate.

  • freenca

They CAN NOT ignore it any longer. Very telling, for the MSM to get with it, or lose what little market share they still have.!

    • kong1967

I know libs personally that have claimed I was making things up because stories I told them about were not on their news channels. They accused Fox of being liars because if it really happened it would be on other networks. Never did they try to research it themselves, and they just made up their minds based off the fact they hadn’t seen it on NBC (for example).

  • brendawatkins

You know the story is BAD for Obama when NBC ignores it.

  • sybilll

Folks, the SpecialReport 30 minute online show on Wednesdays are must sees, depending on the panel. http://www.foxnews.com/specialreport

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Jake better be careful and watch himself. He’s actually done a few almost fair reports lately.

    • kong1967

That was actually a good report by Tapper.

    • Patriot077

Nice to know Oblameo doesn’t want his administration’s emails subject to Congress snooping around. Snooping is okay for Joe & Sally Bedoko and anyone else who visits conservative websites or contributes to R candidates ….

  • badbadlibs

NBC and others won’t cover it until they can come up with a way to make bo look good, the republicans and Pres. Bush look bad….then they’ll be all over like white on rice.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_DS3G37AYWO5ZLWLN3HFKGVK37Q IMaTelaU

NBC….institutional corruption!!!!! heard that from Rush the other day. As usual the most conciese, poinant and compressed analysis in the public medium!!!

    Let them know ….INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION.

  • NJK

The most contemptible part of this is all of the dead. These people are so morally bankrupt that they care nothing about the people who were murdered. They have ice water running through their veins.

    • kong1967

Of course. Liberals are getting very brazen about going to any lengths to push their agendas and to maintain power. It’s getting to be pretty much at any cost. Be expecting some kind of major catastrophe just before the elections. It will be something made into a major deal but the libs will be the ones who created it. It might happen after the elections so Obama can declare martial law if he loses, but I’m looking for it in any case.

      I hope I’m wrong.

  • NYGino

It was a systemic, calculated, planned attack on our Constitution. That is why the regime won’t cooperate with Congress. It is the 800 lb gorilla in the room that the Congressional committee is tip-toeing around.

    • NCHokie02

Agreed and I can’t for life of me understand how people just let things go that others have no authority to do. So either the POTUS knew about it and was involved in those memos in which case he lied about his knowledge earlier or he has no authority to hold the requested documents under executive privilege. Which is it Mr President?

Plus the dems up there will do anything to support the administration. Heaven forbid they stand on their principles and morals and do what is right because ITS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!! Nope, toe that party line sheep. Maybe your constituents, you know, the people you are supposed to be representing, would like for you to stand on your principles and stand up for what is right once in a while.

  • keyesforpres

Pamela Geller calls them the “Enemedia”, as in “enemy media”, but I think enema media works too.

  • kong1967

That was funny, but I was expecting more than a drive-by criticism. Good enough, though.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003723233651 Peter Panner

    who watches NBC?

  • Sober_Thinking

Viewers of those rag networks better wake up… they just got caught red-handed with sucking up to the pResident and not televising REAL news.

Why ANYONE would watch those lying dinosaurs is beyond me.

  • bobemakk

It is so sad that the liberal/socialist media thinks nothing of these tragedies especially when it is part of their favored administration. Holder should be ousted and Obama will lose to Romney….I pray this happens. We need relief from this socialist administration.
