I watched this interaction , it was not a bribe . Speier  was being light , nothing more . The Republican followed up with a similar comment when it was his turn.

    • http://www.therightscoop.com/ therightscoop

clevonlittle Consider who was asking…and who they might have access to, to influence the decision making of him getting a post where he desires…

      • NYGino

therightscoop clevonlittle   He should have said he would like to be posted on TRS.

        • tinlizzieowner

          NYGino therightscoop clevonlittle
Dammit Gino, you beat me to it again. ;-)

        • NYGino

tinlizzieowner  Great minds think alike my friend.

      • sDee

        therightscoop
Yeah I agree –   but  took it as a threat, not a bribe

      • clevonlittle

therightscoop clevonlittle I did consider who was asking…..a Congresswoman in an open hearing is not very likely to engage in bribery. Once again ,  look at the picture that you have of Hicks and others smiling……. this was one of a very few moments of levity during these proceedings. And I repeat this levity carried over to the Republican who was next in the questioning.

    • cabensg

clevonlittle  Yes it was light and supposed to be humorous but no one believes this wasn’t to soften the fact that there have been accusations of retribution for testimony of so called whistle blowers. What better way to cover that than publicly say he’s going to be rewarded. What happens later is another thing isn’t it?

    • PNWShan

clevonlittle Do you think maybe she was hinting that he was testifying in hopes of the committee Republicans helping him out?

    • strangernfiction

clevonlittle Well if an R is simpatico it must be ok.

  • JORGE DE ZAMACONA

Like at the burdhello which bed do you like best. Congress at its best is nothing less than shameful and an embarrassment

  • BetseyRoss

Oh, dear God.  This is sick.  This is pandering and insulting.  They are stupid and clueless.  This man needs protection and a raft of lawyers.  He just spilled his guts about the president and the former SOS.  He’s a sitting duck and in great danger from his employer.  He needs our prayers for now.  Crass.  Just crass.

    • NYGino

BetseyRoss   So you’re saying he should stay out of Ft. Marcy Park.

      • wtd

In the spirit of SoS Hillary “what dif?” Clinton . .. Hick’s choice of assignment matters naught.  A Ft. Marcy Park event  can be arranged at any location on the planet with that conniving witch.

      • BetseyRoss

NYGino BetseyRoss I would advise that to any patriotic American citizen.  He should probably leave Washington and find a job in the private sector.  If the witness protection program weren’t run by the government I’d put him in that, but you can’t trust any of them.

        • NYGino

BetseyRoss  He might think about being a CNN spokesperson.  Nobody watches them, he’d be completely out of sight.

sDee Very good article. Thanks for sharing sDee.

      • sDee

        57thunderbird
yw T-Bird.  His point is strong that hese are not whistleblowers – they are patriots.
I am ashamed when I watch this politcal sewer scum lord over these great men. We put them there. We owe them.
Very sad day. Not only for America, but for humanity.

    • Conservative_Hippie

      sDee That was good!

    • badbadlibs

sDee Best line in the article:
“The loss of the lives of four patriots and the testimony of their colleagues, still mourning their loss, is sad, but how much sadder still is the fact that our great nation is led and represented by such soulless people?”

  • The Sentinel

What a witch. This is sickening.

  • The Sentinel

    Har har har harrrr… what a laugh-fest.
    Stupid Democraps.

  • Freedomswatch

God bless the whistleblowers, the Democrats response is sickening.

  • cabensg

Trying to make sure it doesn’t look like their going to punish him for telling the truth. You realize Obama and Hillery didn’t have to feed this to her. This is instinctive with liberals.

    • strangernfiction

      cabensg Exactly

    • Betsy Young

Yep, dumb as a box of rocks!!!!

  • Conservative_Hippie

Thanks for posting this RS!  It was a hot topic in the chat room!

  • AnnS

Wow glad some other caught that.  Bribery was my first thought.

    • notebene

AnnS I thought the same thing when Speirs said that!  Shook it off and then came on the Scoop to find out that I’m not imagining what I heard!

    • njmom

      AnnS Its a possibility.

  • AnnS

Like Nordstrom remark about the State Department reminding hime of the Taliban.  I had seen that on the first hearings.

  • brjohnson

In a corporate environment this would have been considered collusion and if it were associated with healthcare it would be considered non-compliant collusion with stiff fines and penalties up to imprisonment and these jokers think it is a laughing matter. There is no such thing as reality in Washington DC.

  • lawngreen

If she’d said that to me, so help me, I would have said, “Representative, I hope you’re not attempting to distract this hearing from its real purpose. Could we get back to unmasking the betrayal now?”
I’m disappointed that he smiled and gave a diplomatic answer.

    • njmom

lawngreen I’m not disappointed he was probably glad she wasn’t granstanding because most Dems were. That had to be difficult for those sitting at the table when they were there to answer questions.

      • lawngreen

njmom I agree it was difficult. At least they are making the truth known. They didn’t pull any punches.

    • strangernfiction

lawngreen He is just a typical American in that he has no clue who the ‘rats are.

      • lawngreen

strangernfiction That may be it, stranger. He’s been in the field, seeing only one part of the picture. What he saw wrong, he reported, and for that I’m grateful.

    • Betsy Young

He, too, thought it mind numbingly stupid, hence the huge smile!

      • lawngreen

Betsy Young Could be, but I think strangernfiction nailed it – see above.

    • Betsy Young

He too, found it mindnumbingly stupid, hence the huge smile!

  • magicdixieranch

alrighty then! so, the only reason he’s testifying or *whistleblowing* on this admin is that he wanted another post, he didn’t get it *yet*, so he needed a bigger audience to hear his case… got it.  Scum lady, lower than pond scum.

  • Laurel A

    She is stunningly stupid!

  • njmom

That was probably the nicest way possible to divert from the subject. Not sure of her objective.

  • pushtheredbutton

Whatever you get when you cross a dog; an anal tumor and a whore with a mortgage to pay off, I wouldn’t know.  But it still has to deserve more respect than this “woman”.

    • badbadlibs

pushtheredbutton That’s one of those posts I probably shouldn’t laugh at…but, there you have, I LOL’d…in fact, I ROFL!
      scuse me….must go repent now….

      • Betsy Young

No repenting necessary in this case! The woman is a dolt!

  • crosshr

yep, remind the nation how you achieved your diploma in HS and got graduated from college. All you can offer girl, give it all, the more you give , the more you receive, You parent are so proud of your success. ( let me go look for some tums before I vomit)

  • 1RandiStarr

WHY, do they let the most idiotic twats in DC get near a microphone?  As a woman, it really makes my job harder to counter such obvious stupidity in the real world.

    • Betsy Young

Total absurdity and complete embarrassment to women everywhere! This, again, goes to show the absolute emptiness in the heads of democrats! Made me cringe! But then, I concluded, she’s from California!

  • E Lee Zimmerman

Yeah, that was just weird.  For starters, it was essentially an ignorant question that had absolutely no bearing on the reason why the man was called there to testify.  Outside of trying to appear to be a ‘nice lady,’ it was a really stupid moment.

  • yazz55

    The news headline should read:
Liberal extremist democrat politician engages in influence peddling to individual testifying before congress.

  • clevonlittle

    hey rightscoop !
look at the people in the room and ask yourself if there is the remotest possibility that attempted bribery is underway. Wrong church , wrong pew. Great picture …………… any chance that this horrible congresswoman is giving witnesses who are under intense pressure a chance to breath ? If so , on behalf of the three men , thank you. These men were under a microscope that few other people will ever be subjected to . Sorry folks , this dog won’t hunt.

    • AnnS

Well, could be, but with the reputation of the democrats, obama bribed several Senators to pass his deathcare bill (in plain site) so they would not be above bribery, intimidation or blackmail.  Hicks looked like he dropped his guard and focus for a second until Issa called to get back on the subject.  Bengazi is just too serious event to lighten up much.

  • AnnS

It also seemed like one of the woman reps (Maloney, NY) (I think) sounded like she was trying to “blame the victim” Ambassador Stevens for putting himself in harms way.  All of the dems IMO were asking questions just to divert attention with the same qued talking points.  “so this will never happen again, blaming the repubs for cutting funding…etc”   And it makes me sick how the MSM  were so nasty to Sarah and Michelle Backman and our female conservatives.
I only heard one dem that was actually asking intelligent questions.
The Honorable Rep Gowdy is quite a fire ball; wish he was our President.  But was proud of all: Chaffetz, Issa, Jordan Langsford

  • AnnS

OT   Hillary based some of her college thesis on Saul Alinksy (who dedicated his book to Lucifer).  check out these college professors.:

Holding her fingers in what became the Weatherman “fork salute,” she spoke of the bloody murders recently committed by the http://www.conservapedia.com/Charles_Manson in which the actress Sharon Tate, at the time nine months pregnant, was murdered and her unborn child died. Abigail Folger, heiress of Folgers Coffee heiress and several other victims at two crime scenes were all brutally stabbed to death.http://www.conservapedia.com/Bernardine_Dohrn#cite_note-6 The words “Death to Pigs” were written on a wall in the victims blood.
