Self-proclaimed comedienne Chelsea Handler4had a pretty unfunny preview for her attempts at political comedy. At the end of the clip, she accuses Ben Carson and former Sheriff David Clarke of being “black white supremacists.”

Uh, I am no fan of either of these guys, but Handler offers absolutely no reasoning as to why they’re supposed to be white supremacists. I guess just because they support Trump that’s what she can call them? That’s just idiotic and emblematic of the extreme rhetoric of the left.
This kind of normalization of irrational thinking is very insidious, and is exactly why we can’t depend on celebrities to tell us what to think. Being entertaining appears to be mostly mutually exclusive with being an insightful and useful thinker or opinion-maker.
