Chuck Todd said this morning that because the administration has pretty much reached their goal of 7 million signups, that it means the law is unrepealable:

“The importance of hitting this 6 million…it means the law is unrepealable. It means that it’s here to stay. So then we’ve advanced to the next part of the debate is okay, then how do you fix the problems that people think are there.”

Only an idiot would think this.

    • Uncle Sporkums

      I.e.: Chuck Todd, NBC, liberals..

    • thetreyman

i agree but i don’t think a lot of the repubs want to repeal it either. they just want to run on repealing it.

  • Uncle Sporkums

“Zilence, Svine! Ze dabate iz Over!”

  • dawgGoodie

ObamaCare might be unrepealable but Chuck Todd’s professional career isn’t. Ask the people at MSNBC

    • Poptoy1949

Let Chuckie Boy talk…anything can be repealed…..

  • Stehekin912

    hey Chuck……are YOU on Obamacare?

  • marketcomp

Yeah we know what they are doing. The Obama media thinks that by saying this terrible law, that have cause people to die and lose health care that they like is unrepealable. Really? This little move to get this message out there will make people even madder than they already were.

  • jrt

    Ted Cruz says…number one priority…..repeal Obamacare 2016
Since when was there a number that made it “unrepealable” which isn’t a word
The fact that he even made that statement should tell you where that law needs to be….in the can

  • OLLPOH

Hey F. Chuck Todd, they said that about Prohibition, too. You are such a drunk shill. Resign and take Carney and 0bama, Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the trash that shows up on N.ational B.roadcasting C.ommunism.

  • Greg Halvorson

What a CROCK… It’s like the IRS scandal — the LEFT always seeks to paint an air of inevitability… Move on, move on — as if every disaster they enact is a fait accompli.

  • jrt

it was a law unfairly moved and voted on. There will be a motion to repeal and that will be voted on and then if majority passes it will be repealed…simple

And you are correct…..there should never be a White Flag of Surrender on our Soil for any reason. NEVER. I have learned something today and I do Thank YOU. PT.

    You mean like prohibition?

    • CBDenver

Good point!. I am totally stealing that line!

      • 57thunderbird

        Be my guest. :-)

  • wales777

Ah yes, the new talking point to be driven into the ground until everyone actually believes it. LOL..

    • Darrell Griffin

      Indeed.

  • CBDenver

In 1994 the state of Tennessee passed a healthcare reform bill called “TennCare”. The bill was the disaster predicted by the critics — it cost much more than expected, to fix the budget problems payments to providers were reduced, insurance companies, hospitals, and doctors started losing money and left the state, and the end result was the healthcare market in the state of Tennessee was devastated.

In the 20 years since it was passed, many have tried to “fix” TennCare. But it has not and cannot be fixed. In the meantime, the people of the great state of Tennessee suffer under the ill effects of the misguided healthcare reform bill.

God help us if we become “stuck” with a failed healthcare system like those in Tennessee because Obamacare is “unrepealable”. The idea that we now need to focus on “fixing” Obamacare is the road to Hell. Something that is fundamentally flawed cannot be fixed.

    • jrt

just like Hillarycare was worked on in the 80’s and rolled into Obamacare.

      • CBDenver

TennCare was modeled after Hillarycare, just like Obamacare. If anyone wants to predict how Obamacare would work out, just look at TennCare.

  • Darrell Griffin

Explains why the numbers are being cooked. He just gave away the DNC strategery.

Can’t have the mean Republicans trying to take away the healthcare of millions of people, now can we ?

    • jrt

I wonder if the numbers were cooked on that second election in the same way

      • Darrell Griffin

Well, the unemployment numbers right before the election were.

        • Swamp Fox

          Zero doubt about that.

      • NPC

        Do not wonder.

  • Kevin

they’re going to be begging for repeal in June when they have to tell people in 36 states they’re not eligible for subsidies because Obama’s IRS broke the law. The Halbig case is going to completely drop a bomb on the system. If you’re not familiar check it out. It’s HUGE. The argument was argued in appeals last week and 2 of the 3 judges look very promising.

Put on your hip waders,it’s getting deep.

    • Swamp Fox

      Gasp! 😡

  • leel004

“fix the problems that people THINK are there”….jerk.
When life is depending on cancer treatment and they find out there is NO insurance because of obamacare, you want to be so callus as they suffer the consequences. Jerk is the only word I will type, but my mind is calling him worse….so demonic.

    • CapeLady

And what good is it to cover pre-existing conditions when you do not cover the very costly drugs that are required to treat them?

      • warpmine

That was the plan so that the insurance companies would be on the hook. It was simply a way out for them if they played their cards right. Think Ponzi scheme. Invest in high cost premiums, get in return super high deductibles and top it off with drug coverage that covern nothing expensive. Meanwhile the government taxes the insurance companies and transfers all the spare cash to the medicaid funds. What’s left? Misery!

  • Kevin

One thing Obamacare did do is establish a national standard of mandates and now allows for sales across state lines. Gov.’s can create a pact based on the federal mandates and a single company can sell in both states with one location.

    http://www.urban.org/uploadedpdf/412195-Health-Insurance-Across-State-Lines.pdf

    • warpmine

That could be useful. Gut the law and replace it with mandates that are much like it was fifty years ago. Get rid of HMO’s entirely.

Of course, it would be easier to just reboot the constitution.

      • Kevin

i was referring to mandates for care that is the main barrier from selling across state lines. some state require 13 mandated care requirements others 85

        • warpmine

Our own states caused this disaster and now all must succumb to it.

  • sjmom

If we can get a conservative majority in both houses of Congress and a GOP president Obamacare can not only be repealed but WILL be reprealed.

    • NPC

And it going to take all of us to get it done. We can not sit around and bicker at each other, we need to get on the same page and sometimes swallow some pride, only together we can win. divided we will fail, for certain. The last election is prime sample.

  • CapeLady

I don’t know who he is trying to convince, us or himself?

    • 57thunderbird

      Both?

  • RedDaveR

What makes Chuck Todd the expert? Don’t tell me he’s claiming to be objective.

  • Sentinel

This is the same hook Bob Beckle is trying to hang his hat on… problem is, they may be right. Hear me out. I’ve been saying it for years… every single day this train keeps a rolling, it will get harder and harder to repeal. Not for the reason these clowns are saying (because so many people are hooked on it)… it’s because of the pressure being put on the private sector Health Insurance companies – they will be hurting big time. I honestly think this was designed for one thing: Single-Payer. So, I think they have a point, on a flawed assumption.
That being said, I think it’s possible that it could implode all on it’s own – even though Obama is lawlessly pulling money from so many different places and taxing the snot out of us to keep it alive. Also, if we win the majorities in 2014 and the WH and more majorities in 2016… perhaps there’s a chance then… but once again, more time will have passed. Impossible? Nope. Difficult? It gets harder and harder with each day that goes by. My record is skipping again…

    • NPC

No, it’s not skipping, we read you loud and clear, and your common sense, makes a lot of sense.
In addition to your analogy, Shrillary will take up the mantle, and will wear it proud to make her dream from her failed attempt of the nineties come thru.

      • Sentinel

Thanks. And you are right… (ugh)

  • marmo43

what part of NO do they not understand. a majority of the American people do NOT want this health care system. the gov’t can’t get anything right and they want to run our health care. I had the dep’t of health call me, at random they said and wanted me to answer questions about my health. I flat out told them I would not be answering any questions. the gov’t agencies do not need to know and there are hippa laws to abide by. I believe this to be another way for the gov’t to find out who is ill and who is healthy. I blame the health care system in place now. I do not trust any of them.

    • B-Funk

I’m not up on current stats, but I think I remember that 53% say flat no to Obamacare, another 20-something say they’re not interested, and the rest of the idiots are in love with the idea of it.

    • NPC

Don’t forget it is also intended to work as a voters registration system, and that might be the top priority since they don’t care to reveal how many have paid premiums. They got their name, address, and in all likely hood their Social Security numbers, they have all they need. If this ACA was actually to work as we expected it to, it would have, I’m leaning toward their alternative motives.
So far, for the last six years there is not much that has come from this Government rooted in truth.

  • JPeden

Todd falls for the lie of 6million signed up,just as OLiar’s “Perception is Reality” propaganda tactic intended, knowing that he wants to be deluded.

  • The_Questman

The GOP should be playing the left’s game of words… Give up the word repeal and use “Phase Out.” Example:

“Republicans will Phase Out ObamaCare and will create a more sensible, affordable plan and regulations that will keep healthcare costs down while decreasing the cost of insurance for all Americans. Eliminating any need for a single payer system and returning America’s healthcare system back to the doctors and patients and putting in safeguards for the poor and those with pre-conditions.”

When you say REPEAL, those who Needed what Obama promised in the first place will feel desperate to vote for what they are getting from ObamaCare.

    • NPC

You make a lot of sense and we need to start playing their game plan.
Yes I do like ‘Phase Out’, nothing offensive about that.
Questman no offense intended to you personally, but I thought we only voted the smarter than us in to office? They could not have that line of thinking like yours?, Well maybe I’m giving them way too much credit.

      • Dr. Strangelove

Smarter does not necessarily mean better. A caller on Levin’s show last night was trying to explain how brilliant Jeb Bush is.

        • NPC

Yeah some people just are too ‘smart’ for their own good, that’s why we have the mess today.
Evidence shows that many people that do vote, might well be the same voters that keep shows like Dancing with the Stars, and the Kardhasians popular. Stupid is as stupid does.
The sorry thing is that there are way too many of them, and poisoning others. That’s the best they have to offer.

          • Dr. Strangelove

Yep, that’s why rather than just copy Rush’s “low information voter”, I came up with Honey Boo Boo voter.

    • jrt

Actually if Gov. got out of the way healthcare can go back to being managed by private citizens and doctors

      • The_Questman

One area where they do need to get in the way is Tort Reform. Frivolous lawsuits is the driving factor for High Medical costs and insurance costs in the first place. In many cases its cheaper to pay than to fight. We need a “loser pays” litigation policy which will end a lot of lawsuits. Other than that you are right… Get Govt out of healthcare all together.

  • fishmonster

    Watch democratic operative, just watch.

Something tells me the MSM will be crying out for a bailout before too long…
Hopefully they fall flat. Then real journalism- like happens here- can step in.

  • Mickey Sooner

I refuse to watch that clown, but I’m guessing he didn’t say a word about how many people have actually PAID for OCare.

  • Gene White

Chuck Todd, and all the rest of the regular media, get their weekly check because they support Obama. The minute they stop supporting Obama, is the exact moment they begin looking for a new job. I don’t know how this country got this way, I just know that is how it is.

  • dman131

Chuck! We can barely hear you.. your head is so far up…

  • marketcomp

    Watch us work, Chuck Todd.

  • Gene White

As of mid 2011, the population of the United States, was about 312 million people. Certainly more than that now. 6 million is slightly over one fifty secondth of 312 million. Do they really pretend this was their goal?

    • B-Funk

Yes, but it is just gonna crash and burn anyway. ^_^

  • John Bohler

Oh just wait till 2015, we’ll manage to repel it one way or another. 😛

  • B-Funk

It’s not over until the Constitution is dissolved. There’s nothing about Obummercare that can’t be fixed with a little Amendment.

    • rjcylon

      But.. but.. Chuck Todd said…

  • Conservative_Hippie

It will repeal itself. Or is that repel?

  • Gene White

I believe Obamacare, given the numbers, is simply unsustainable at this point. It is like a sick animal. Sooner or later, you just have to shoot it, and put it out of it’s misery.

  • blake7707

Screw you Chuck Todd…..Obamacare is slavery…..

    • smmy33

Funny that democrats could change the nation’s healthcare on a party line vote when over 80 % were happy with their own but some how republicans can’t when Obamacare doesn’t even have 40 % approval in country and all the worst is still yet to come…..

This is guy so ridiculous …to destroy Obamacare all republicans have to do is open the exchanges and take away the mandates make them and it”so back to what it was private insurance without the Obamacare mandates & market……

And this clown knows that the enrolled in Obamacre lost their insurance because of a Obamacare and are 85% of them paying more for less with higher out of pocket expenses ( deductibles ) and those new insured are less healthy then then the general public so the rates will be even higher next year then they already .

This is what state propaganda looks like.

  • Gene White

The Affordable Care Act has “Big Government,” written all over it. Get a grip, folks. Obamacare is not in the least, about healthcare. It is about government control of your lives. That’s all it was in the beginning, and that’s all is, right now. Nothing has changed.

  • Poptoy1949

Bull Snot ! If I recall Prohibition was a Constitutional Amendment. IT WAS REPEALED. Nothing is beyond Repeal. NOW, Finding the necessary VOTES up on the FOOL’s HILL may be the challenge. BUT WHEN YOU push the PEOPLE far enough “Anything and Everything”………… is POSSIBLE……They seem to forget about NOVEMBER !

  • magi52

In 1860 the American People were told that Slavery was the law of the land and was here to stay…

In 2014 the American People were told that 0bamaCare was the law of the land and was here to stay.

Slavery was finally outlawed and overturned by the Supreme Court.

The same thing will happen to 0bamaCare because both are UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

  • rjcylon

So the only reason Prohibition was repealed was because at that time there were less than 7 million Obamacare enrollments? I don’t understand.

    • Poptoy1949

Could not have said it any better. I thank you !

    • Leende

      Yep and slavery.

  • Citizenright

When they actually hit six million, let me know. Not holding my breath.

  • steprock

And I’ll add that there are over 300 million people in America, so colour me unimpressed

    • Dr. Strangelove

And that’s just counting the legals.

  • Johnny Olson

    Mr. Todd…you are an idiot.

    1. There is no way that they are at 7 million.
    2. No matter what the number is, it will not work with the vast majority is seniors and zero to low income people signing up. Nobody is paying for this thing.
    3. As said many times above…anything is able to be repealed.
    4. It will probably collapse under its own weight before it is repealed anyway.

  • DCGere

“how do you fix the problems that people think are there.” Think there are problems there? Guess that’s why enrollment has been delayed, I mean extended (until 4/15 now in CA). This guy is a certified useful idiot.

  • Lovelives

I am so glad the people that fought against slavery, never said half the country uses slaves, it is not repealable or no woman votes, it is impossible. Most the people that paid, already had insurance, the others haven’t paid or getting subsidized, not sustainable.

  • USMC 64-68

Chuck Todd is a sycophant, doing the work of the Marxist Democrats. Put courageous, patriotic conservatives in Congress and the Executive and SCOTUS and well see how “unrepealable” it is.

  • NJK

Like hell. Their goal is also another lie. “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”. We need an independent audit of these numbers. Hey, Chuck, why are you promoting lies from a fake president?

  • leel004

Oh how we must educate the ignorant….ok chucky, in Civics class there is a historical lesson called Prohibition.
There was a time in America that it became illegal to sell booze. The gov realized it was a faled law. And revoked it.
Same will happen to bama-lack- of-care. Go to a hospital where someone is loosing coverage and see their plight, if you can handle the truth.

  • Dan Defoe

Repeal the whole damn federal government.

  • MontyRay

    oh, Chuck..tsk tsk..
Just wait until Obamacare’s mandates slam into employer provided care. Oh, wait-they pushed that off to after the 2016 election, right? We have not forgotten. You can’t polish a turd.

  • Conserv_58

Uh, Chuck, don’t look now, but Obamacare is imploding because there is not seven million verifiable people that have paid their premiums, you lying sycophant.

  • Beal Baug

7 million maybes after 700 million for a website, 1.5 trillion stolen from medicare to fund it. Add the cost of each maybe, pretty foolish..any wonder why we are 17 trillion in debt?

Over 80 million on some kind of welfare and they celebrate only 7 million. What’s the matter can’t even convince all the people eligible for subsidies to sign up?
