Chuck Todd tweeted in defense of the media over Trump’s challenging of the media as fake news in the press conference. He suggested we should all be concerned and literally said everyone should take their partisan hats off. Seriously:
Press bashing may feel good to folks but when it's done by people in power, it's corrosive. Take off your partisan hats for a second

The responses were galore. Here’s a few highlights:
You should probably do so as well. https://t.co/pB3V5PyY9g

.@chucktodd If the Press was simply reporting information, fine. They aren't. They lost the ability to complain.

.@chucktodd the Press rarely provides a service to inform the public anymore. They are in opposition to a large part pf their audience.

I'm sorry, did a member of *the media* just ask others to "take off your partisan hats for a second"? https://t.co/tglBLKXgFc

@chucktodd Do you think the way the last administration dealt with the press (and leaks) was also corrosive?

1. You're taking yourself too seriously. 2. When Obama did worse–wiretaps, prosecution etc.–the media rolled over & begged for more treats https://t.co/boe9VuUrMH

Obama's government literally spied you, and you took it. This one calls you names, and it's the end of democracy. https://t.co/SbmL6oGyML

Is it any more or less corrosive than constant President-bashing? https://t.co/1G9ylXtmJY
