I’m kinda shocked that CNN actually put a Democrat on the spot today and essentially asked why they didn’t care about the issue of child separation and detention under Obama.
Watch:
Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI): I only cared about family separation on “case by case” basis under Obama https://t.co/rYbMtm0dXT pic.twitter.com/hGvPgMzxy6

As Baldwin points out, all of this was happening under Obama in 2014. She asks Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) if she ever spoke out about it then.
After a rambling and evasive answer about how they must keep up the pressure right now to end this, Baldwin puts her on the spot and asks her AGAIN.
Baldwin finally admitted that she didn’t really care about it like she does now, saying she can remember one case where she spoke up. She added that they cared on more of a ‘case by case’ basis back then. Uh huh.
I wish Baldwin had given her more a hard time about it, because it’s only fair. But Baldwin ended the interview at that point. I guess this is the best we can get from CNN.
