CNN claims to have new audio of the Michael Brown shooting…and here it is

CNN began reporting late last night that they had new audio of the Michael Brown shooting. Don Lemon says it hasn’t been verified yet, but that didn’t stop CNN from playing it on-air. And of course they’ve been analyzing it all morning for what it might say about the shooting.

But after listening to it myself I was a little disappointed. The only thing you hear from the alleged audio of the shooting is the gunshots themselves, underneath the creepy voice of some guy doing a recording.

Six shots ring out…then there is a 3 second pause and then 4 more shots ring out. Assuming this is the Michael Brown shooting, that means the cop fired 10 times. But that’s all that’s there. No voices from the shooting…no yelling…no nothing. Just gunshots.

And I’m sure every race-baiter from here to St. Louis — you know the ones who all conveniently say they haven’t heard of any new evidence that might suggest that Michael Brown charged the officer as they endlessly repeat that Brown was gunned down while trying to surrender — I guarantee every one of them will know about this new audio and use it in their ‘Michael Brown was innocent’ talking points as they say the police fired at him 10 times and there is just absolutely no call for that.

Anyway, here’s the report from last night with the audio:
