CNN is working overtime to try and make an issue out of the fact that Ted Cruz has to sign up for Obamacare. Just this morning Dana Bash was attacking Cruz again on CNN, suggesting he’s a hypocrite for signing up for it even though he has explained to her that he’s not above the law (even though he disagrees with it) and that he believes what’s good for the American people should also be good for Congress. He’d actually be a hypocrite if he DIDN’T sign up for Obamacare, using the Obamacare exemption granted to Congress by Obama, the very thing he’s railed against in the past. But that’s not what he did.
Despite the reality of this, it’s clear though that CNN is dead set on trying to make this an issue, even saying that it’s giving his campaign ‘heartburn’ in trying to explain this away or something:
Ted Cruz was on the Mark Levin Show last night and, I don’t know about you, but I didn’t hear any ‘heartburn’ as Cruz hit back at CNN for trying to play gotcha. He even explained again that despite his disagreement with the law, he believes it must be followed because it is the law of the land and we, as citizens, are obligated to do so even when they are trying to change it.
And I would point out that this is CNN’s news division doing the attacking, not just some talking head with an opinion.
