Jerusalem mayor Nir Barkat was on with CNN’s Carol Costello this morning, who insisted on grilling him as to why Netanyahu is aligning himself with the evil Republicans and angering Democrats over Iran:
Costello is so insufferable. It never seems to cross her liberal mind that Democrats are the ones pushing Netanyahu away, not the other way around. Bibi was invited to a JOINT session of Congress which includes Democrats. But they are the ones who decided not to attend because their pro-Iranian president was offended.
Costello once again puts forward the impression that Democrats are always right and Republicans are always wrong and therefore it makes Netanyahu wrong for ‘siding’ with them, despite the fact that Netanyahu is really siding against Iran and will side with anyone who is against Iran getting nuclear weapons.
It’s a shame that Nir Barkat has to remind Costello that Iran won’t hesitate to nuke Israel once they have nuclear weapons and that Netanyahu’s real goal is to prevent another holocaust, not make partisan enemies in the U.S.
