CNN’s John King made Rep. Cummings look pretty silly when he knocked down his accusation that the White House was trying to “cover” for General Flynn by not producing documents they requested.

I know a lot of people think he’s biased, but I think King is unfairly maligned, and this is one of those instances where he tries to play fair. Of course, unbiased reported Sarah Westwood immediately says, “yeah this is unfair, JUST LIKE BENGHAZI” in order to smack around Republicans.
Anyway, Chaffetz doesn’t seem to think Democrats were in the right to release info about Flynn:

BUT, he DOES make the request to the Army that they pony up a the docs about Flynn and his various unsavory interactions:
So, like John King says, this going to be around for quite a while.
I do want to say one thing – even though I think there’s enough suspicious stuff about the Trump administration to warrant a complete investigation into possible ties with the Russian government, this Flynn thing is a little off the tracks. If the guy was a Russian spy, or colluding with the Russians, do you think that maybe he would avoid dining with Vladimir Putin where photos could come out into the public? Given the information we have so far, it sounds more like he was just dumb and careless than malicious and treasonous.
But that’s why we have investigations, isn’t it?
