I think these people have watched too many cartoons. They don't understand how life works in the real world. You can't get shot full of holes and then tackle the bad guy, you can't get run over, flattened like a pancake, then peel yourself off the pavement. We need to ban cartoons in the future, until we can develop an educational system that explains to the tykes the difference between being a real person and a cartoon character.
This may also explain the President's spending problem...you can't spend 2, 3, 4 times as much money as you have, not have a plan to pay your debts, without having your credit cards taken away.

If the gunman knew most of the people surrounding Gifford had a gun, he probably would not have pulled his gun out to shoot her.
No one said, after he shot her, "wait everyone, until he reloads. Then, let's rush him".
So you can't protect yourself with anything. Here in Texas you can't even have a baseball bat in the backseat of your car unless you have a baseball glove also. A bat alone is called a deadly weapon. I have a telescopic police baton in my car but found out I can't carry that in my car either...you guessed it...its a deadly weapon also. Of course it is and that's what I'm hoping a criminal will think. So how do you protect yourself? A butter knife?
Ok, since those politicians regard themselves as our betters, who can tell us from a great height what to do, may I kindly suggest that they provide us with a personal example.
So let them all be dis-armed, let them all be deprived of their body-guards, around their precious persons as well as around their homes.
Then give them a biro each - well, give them two or three, don't wanna be churlish, and let's see how they do, defending themselves.
And when the politician is male, their wives and daughters must be used. Gotta wonder if he leaves his family undefended.

Colorado dems have finally made it. They are starting to sound like California dems. Shallow ability to think. Inability to assess thinking.

At least one of the citizens that brought Giffords shooter down, WAS ARMED. He decided to not shoot because there were too many people beyond his target. He then participated in the tackle and submission of the gunman.

Here's the question you need to ask. "What is the difference between immigrants from other countries, and immigrants from Mexico and other countries south of Mexico?"
The answer is, the ones from Mexico and the Central American countries see no need to learn English. They are not coming to America for a better life. They are not coming to America to join us in Freedom. They are coming to America for all the free stuff we offer them, as soon as they cross the border.
As long as we keep doing that, they will keep coming. Obama wants to keep doing that, for obvious reasons.
